I'm watching the GT guys play this, and holy shit. Who the fuck needs Silent Hills when you've got this
4 or 5 hours in and I don't think the game is really THAT scary, but it is fun.
I want to show this game to my sister, but I am already 3/4 of the way through. I'd like her to see it from the beginning though. Is it possible to create/use a second save file to start over with a fresh game, while maintaining your previous save? I am away from my PS5 so I can't really check.

If you have a USB stick just save your current file to that. Otherwise turn off automatic uploads of save files if you have PS+ and upload your save to the cloud.
GT stream was funny at the end.
No USB stick here -- if I start a new PSN ID and play with it, will that properly segregate my new save file from my current save file?
It's actually a really good physical performance too. Some of the mocap in this is downright spooky at times, to the point that you feel like you're seeing the actual performance of someone versus the LA Noire thing with the faces being the only realistic part.Dude does some great voicework in this game. Nails some really funny lines. Hopefully he does some more voice acting in the future.
Concerning Matton one of the loss totems, it looks like there is a death that has Matt getting his face smashed in. Anyone know how to trigger this?
Nevermind, just figured it out. Shit that death is brutal. Lol
God damnit matrixman.
Are you talking about thedeath where he decides to go for the deers when he and Emily get surrounded by them?
huh?
You just spoiled the ending. I'm only about 2 hours in, I knew i shouldnt have entered this thread.
2 chapters down, done for the night and chomping at the bit for more. I love the analyst meta angle, really adds a cool layer to everything and I like the Alan Wake-style episodic presentation.
Game is missing the stoner character, though.
Love this game so far, in chapter 2.The stupid cupboard baby wolverine got me lol, I screamed
Also lmao the premise is hilarious.
College aged teens in a remote cabin in the woods, which is on possible Indian land, near an abandoned asylum, and on the anniversary of their friends' disappearance, are going to "party like pornstars".
Also the axe is missing.
Here's the ironic part: this game is WAY more atmospheric than any of the recent RE or SH games.
ehhh, Im not sure what you are talking about. The game is all about choice. Everyone can die in my game, everyone can live in your game, certain people can die in another users game. It depends how you have played
Someone earlier who hadnt even started the game yet said they were going in with the intent to have everyone die

So. This is definitely a great game, however if they try to do this again they need to fix more than a few things:
1. The Butterfly Effect names are way too obvious. Some of them coupled with the Totems remove any kind of tension for the events they refer to. It would have been better if they were just the spots on back of the butterfly like it showed in the intro.
2. Sometimes the game updates clues and basically hits you over the head with a tire iron about what is actually happening. It would have been nicer better if they just let you figure out what is going on with the lore and backstory instead of beating you over the head with it. For example:the number of miners. We can figure out that something happened to the other 18 miners. We can do maths. There's no need to be like "Hey. They are less miners than cards. Get it? Numbers aren't right. They ate each other dummy!"
3. Puzzles!
4. Statuses/relationships that actually matter beyond the surface ones.
One thing I have to praise the game for are the collectibles. I thought they were all so interesting...like they revealed the biggest twists in the game, which idk if they are explained if you dont find them. Pretty integral points missing if not explained seprately
You unlock those yourself just by playing the game.
The one (well, two) frustrating thing waswhen Mike and Jess are running from the bear, the game re-oriented the controls and I wound up frozen and Mike was actually frozen cause I actually got freaking confused, lol. I wanted to help Jess.
Also, when they heard the noise outside, I thought it would make sense for Mike to pick up the rifle before investigating, but I couldn't pick it up.
If you don't find certain ones, you can never save certain people, no matter what your other decisions are. It's great!
Clearly I'm not a horror expert! You mean when the cell phone went through the window? That's funny, I didn't even try to find a rifle, I just blindly went to see the noise.
You're in Chapter 4. Enjoy that "we saved somebody" euphoric high while it lasts.Man me and my twin brother are really enjoying this game think were at chapter 4 now, can some one tell me if I'm am or not?
Ashley is so unhateable.
lolno where he gets his face smashed in a bloody mess
For 1-2, just don't pick up the collectibles then. I didn't pick up the totems once I realized what they were. As for the Butterfly Effect, I didn't even look at that menu until I beat the game. You should definitely not be looking at it during your playthrough because it's going to give clues to certain scenarios.
