Meh. Cheap shock value. Not surprised this happened when
Shoko finally committed herself to confess to Haruto
. Great setup for shipping drama.
 
I'm not 100% sure how to feel about what happened but at least this show is still managing to be very unpredictable (at least for me).

I knew this show couldn't stay normal for too long.

Speculation:
Prediction: what was implied certainly didn't happen at all. Saki defended herself quite easily and then set up the evidence so that when Haruko awoke he'd be left to believe that something occurred which didn't. This is all part of Saki's plan.

I really hope so, Saki must remain pure. Also the Dumblr Hambeasts are going crazy over this episode.

Well,
she could stop him with a single bite. She was certainly shocked at first, but when she understood the 'curse' she must have put her plan into action.

I don't think she knocked him out and "faked" the sex. She's just going to use his guilt to her own ends afterwards.

My ability to enjoy this show's absurdity and stupidity has been richly increased by watching Code Geass R2. I feel like no matter what stupid thing this show does now, it cannot break me.

I think Valverave representing 7 sins (or its already confirmed? I don't know), the reason Haruto went to berserk all the time because his unit representing lust while he not have/doing anything that fit the trait, while other pilot have it (like pride, envy, greed etc) maybe after this rape thing, Haruto gonna settle for awhile or Saki gonna abuse this for her benefit lol

Jeez the show doing good job to avoid haruto being BETA bitchy protag (Even when his friend dying)but now we back to status quo smh

I hope she get's pregnant.

I wonder what the exact trigger for the curse is, is it simply emotions out of control? Maybe he has been horny all this time and holding on but the machine wants some.

Hope Shoko finds out in any case. Their relationship is so standard anime style I really want to see it destroyed in any way it can.

My general rule for these kinds of shows is, if we didn't actually see a very important event we shouldn't be certain that it happened just because of what has been impied.

The show wasn't exactly treating this as a traditional comedy, per se, but it's still an intentionally absurd twist with exaggerated drama/irony value. Which is different from true, genuine seriousness in too many ways to count, even if it's a rather...well, twisted sort of humor dealing with what should be more serious subject matter in a reasonable show. And that's not what Valvrave, crazy and dumb as it is, wants to be.

I'd think how the Valvrave avatar/OS girl was essentially cheering on this turn of events is rather indicative.

It is weird:

Speculation time

Back when he was told he was a monster by El-Elf the curse activated and made him act like a monster, trying to bite/attack anyone near him.

In this episode Saki tells him that he was being a lustful beast. And now when the curse activated he didn't bite, but... well yeah. So maybe the curse makes him super open to suggestion and he becomes whatever he believes he is deep down, or what he is suggested to be deep down (even if the suggestion was made in jest).

Alternatively, he kept going berserk soon after fighting so maybe he was primed to just defend/attack. Now he went berserk after a full day of sexual talk with Thunder/whatshisname. And the incident with blonde chick.

Also since Unit 01 is special, I assume nobody else goes Berserk for whatever reason. The program is what is doing it.

noticed this too, remember when it saw Haruto and Saki kiss inside unit 01 and asked "Is this sex?"


but man what an episode, was rather dull for the most part and then BAM dat ending lol
