Yup, I agree. I remember when talk of Super Megaforce was just getting started there was rumors going around that Saban originally wasn't even going to incorporate much of anything from Gokaiger. I wonder if that was really the case and then they had to relent, which screwed them budget-wise. That's kinda what this is screaming to me.
I might give Super Megaforce a couple of episode before saying screw it and waiting for the GoBusters adapatation.
Frankly, I'd be fine if they mostly even kept Go-Buster's storyline. Although honestly, I'm not sure how much will be adaptable, footage wise.
I've stuck with Power Rangers throughout my life. Even though I may enjoy watching Super Sentai now, that doesn't stop me from enjoying Power Ranger, legitimately or Ironically.

you guys should have known that Saban Brands pretty much was created from Democratic Fundraising and Hollywood favors. They never had the capital. Disney didn't care, they wanted marvel from the get go and they got it.

Very true, but one can always hold out hope. I usually give shows a couple of episodes in general before I drop them. Plus at my house if a show is truly horrible, we usually make a game of Riffing it.

I hope Justin shows up and morphs, but Saban is cheap as fuck so they just use the old stock footage of him morphing and play it off normally.
If Justin appears over all the awesome actors they could have gotten I will be sorely pissed. They might as well reuse the ninja turtles with that lame.

Why would anybody except the MegaForce and Samurai rangers morph?

That's another thing. Power Rangers didn't go HD and widescreen until Samurai, meaning the morphing sequences for any show older than that would have to be recreated in HD with new CGI; that means more budget.
I didn't think of that, but there's a good reason they wouldn't morph.

Guys...I was chatting with some folks on Henshin Justice and I just found out Super Climax Heroes had an Option on PSP I didn't know about in my OT.
CUSTOM SOUNDTRACK FOR BOTH FORMS, CLIMAXES, STAGES!
Tutorial on how to set it up
I just did this and now Tajador Time Judged All is playing during my matches every time I form change as OOO's into the Tajador Combo. It doesn't even drown out the voices and sound effects it literally just replaces the song in the background and you can still hear everything else (suck it xbox 1 custom track games!).
I can even set it up so both my main theme and my finale themes are different and if I set a custom stage theme and play as someone without a custom theme the stage theme plays. I'm so friggin hype right now!

You can't do it on the Wii. It's one of the advertised selling points of the PSP version.
So I got a Abarekiller suit from a guy in NC and it got to my house today. Definitely going to need some compression shorts because homeboy was kinda short and that bodysuit was up my ass like white on rice. The helmet is being shipped now so hopefully I'll have some pics for you guys. Here's one in the meanwhile of me goofing off:

Oh God yes I'm just rubbing my PSP up and down my body now. Not only can I component hook this up to play but I can get custom tracks. I got Kabuto's douchebag theme (the little song they always played when he was talking shit and pointing at the sky) setup now for his Rider Kick! Soooooooo perfect as he stands there and the song plays out.
I'm currently downloading all the precropped songs progamersdiary made for this game just for this feature. I now no longer have to listen to the halfass in game version of WBX during finales. I can use the real thing!

I mean, the basic question is: if a Gokaigeresque retrospective with previous heroes popping up occasionaly wasn't on the cards to start with, what exactly were they planning for the anniversary series? Just retreading MMPR more literally than Samurai, but with some Gokai Change footage in the back half? Was the Gosei/Gokai mashup even part of the original plan or did they just, at one point, realise "wait, shit, isn't this the 20th anniversary of the series? Maybe we should use that pirate thing" and slap it in there mid way? Like I mentioned before, even amongst what is generally considered to be the worst season in the franchise, Disney managed to pull together a pretty decent effort for the 15th anniversary in Once a Ranger.
Even with the advantage of a couple years distance from the Sentai airing, it's like there's zero creative consideration or foresight in what's going on. Getting a bit more "complaining nerd"-y that I like with this post, but the whole thing is a mess.

Toei managed to get all of these to come back with on-screen roles (more of them came back for voice-over roles, and the list doesn't cut non-Ranger returning actors, like Timeyellow's, Magired's and Abareblue's girlfriends and Professor Amachi). They even got enough of the Hurricanger cast to return to do a teamup with them!
Meanwhile, at Saban:

Well, the logistics of flying people down to New Zealand from America compared to Sentai actors being largely concentrated in the relatively small area that is Japan makes it at least understandable that things might be a little smaller scale (though the fact that the primary cast are Americans being flown down to this part of the world really means you could get them together with previous cast members before or after the primary filming in NZ to kinda bypass that).
The fact that the production team seem to have been caught entirely with their pants down is what's so weird/inexcusable.

BoB has a point in fact he makes a whole lot of sense. Compared to the costs involved one venture is mess less relatively speaking. Plus we all knew for sometime Saban is cheap and they really couldn't go all out anyway. As much as we may like to see it happen it was to never be. I also hate to say that fooling oneself to think otherwise is just hurtful in nature.

Fans got themselves too psyched. Saban is cheap is the number 1 answer to any power ranger questions.
And SPD Red didn't get invited at all. One of my favorite rangers smh.

Being cheap is what Saban knows best. If that wasn't the case, we'd have got the original cast in the first movie and Season 3 of MMPR.

The original plan was to just have guest stars for the shows that got robo parts, so Dekaranger, Magiranger, Gaoranger Hurricanger, Shinkenger Go-Onger, those guys would have returning cast members and that's it.
Then the big earthquake happened and they set up this Twitter account for kids where a ton of the old Sentai actors would chime in to cheer the kids up, write encouraging and heroic things to raise their spirits, and it started being where they were able to get in touch with Toei and a bunch of them said they wanted to be involved in Gokaiger for the kids.
So the first episode that wasn't a robo part but had a guest star I think was Gekiranger? That's why that episode felt so out of place and rushed. Then they were able to get the Red Racer back for his episode and it kind of just went from there.
It's really a beautiful story that came from something absolutely horrible.

Wished Gokaiger would have gone on for a bit longer. The Gokai change gimmick was great and the cast was great too
