It's not as bad as GAF makes it out to be. Its very average, gameplay is fun, but the writing leans towards bad though.
Veilguard comes to PS+ (all tiers), along with Sonic Colours and TMNT: Cowabunga Collection

So it sucks for you, I guess? There's tons of games that are considered to be a waste of "slot" in PS Plus. For someone who has actually played and finished Veilguard, I was just giving an opinion to the other guy. You can cry about it all you want though.

But let's say gaf suggests it's trash, era suggests it's amazing but in reality it's somewhere in-between so average.
Being average is still enough for it to bomb. A game like this need's to be a solid 9/10 to do well. So might not be worth buying but as a free ps plus game you might get a bit of fun.

In short - horrible writing, horrible artstyle & design (subjective), combat & character development aren't very deep, forces you to be nice or at least neutral to everyone, can't make drastic decisions like leaving a potential companion behind. It's awful if you know and remember previous games, especially DA1.

At 4 months, this might be a new record for an EA game going on sub plan. The old budget game Unravel hit EA Access in about 5 months which I think is the smallest time gap between launch and sub plan.

I have no horse in this race but wtf is this lol. Clearly made with an agenda.
That parkour section for Avowed was terrible compared to the platforming it offers. And why on the combat demo were they using spells and axe melee in Veilguard, but just dagger jabbing on Avowed. Where was magic missile or roots.
Having said that they are probably overall the same level. Avowed does some things better and Veilguard seems to do others better.
