You know what... There was once a time I would openly state: "Fuck Konami" and "Fuck UbiSoft"... It's high time for "Fuck Xbox".
That works both ways, Phil
Yes, just like buying publishers.
If that's the case he's just admitted to buying publishers and partially foreclosing on their revenue and admitting that's his intent. That he doesn't want Sony making money from them games. He was just stating why they don't ship more games on Playstation, but of course everyone is taking it as some stupid gotcha thing.

Exactly, for every 30% sony makes they make more than double at 70% to "threaten PS' survival" with.So what happens to the %70 they get from selling SKUs on other platforms? I assume they get reduced to ash?

More like this actuallyThis is NeoGAF everytime Microsoft and Sony gets talked about.![]()
.....isn't this how it works?
.....isn't this how it works?
Phil playing dumb as always.Yes, and his actual quote is 'that 30% and other revenue', he's not saying Sony is strategically using that 30% as a fuck you slush fund![]()
It's Tom Warren, so its more a case of Phil seems to buy anything they say.something really strange is going on if they actually support this argument they seem to buy anything Phil says....
Sony was forced to put MLB on Xbox. Destiny was already on Xbox before purchase. And MS does the same for MLB and uh I guess Destiny now.
Unbelievable....
Sony....
It’s common sense but probably pointless.what kind of argument is this?
You forgot the two Bethesda games. They were already contracted though. How many actual Microsoft Game Studios games have shipped on PlayStation, Phil?
I'm not counting Deathloop or Ghostwire Tokyo.
Or, hell, you know what, I'll even count those despite them being in a gray area around the Zenimax acquisition.
Let's see... Minecraft and its spinoffs, and, uh...Psychonauts 2?
Not many other MGS games going to PlayStation that I can see, certainly not enough where the 30% industry standard profit would be enough for Sony to generate enough revenue to "block" Microsoft. As opposed to Microsoft who, upon the mere speculation that Starfield might be console or timed exclusive, spent 7 billion dollars to buy the entire fuggin' company.
They were forced to since they don’t own the rights.Counter point. M$ are using Sony’s MLB MTX to spend $80b on studios.
Big Phil logic.
