But of course fake tests! lol.

Yes these tests are horrible. They are not indicative of how the games run and look on my setup.

That's not how games look and run on my 3070.

I will make some screenshots with FPS attached when I get home.

And ofcourse I'm not running games with full RT. In fact I usually turn RT off.

You would have to compare your 3070 to (non existing) 16GB version of it to see differences in FPS.

HU have tests like that with lower clocked version of 3070 with 16GB of memory:

12GB is... ok. But I had 4070 and 4070ti for like a year or so and already found limits of vram in few games.

You will not be able to max out some games already on the market despite GPU having raw power do do so (it's ~4070ti level of power or more). Cyberpunk can eat more than 14GB with PT, DLSS P and FG:

I'm just saying my 3070 runs games very well, you don't need to use LOW textures, in ANY (maybe barring Callisto Protocol then?) game to get decent performance.

With DLSS Quality it's always looking good, and runs good too. That's just my personal experience.

Good to see the 5090 will review drop before the release. Concerning the 5080 reviews drop with the release.

I'm kind of forced to go 5090 due to VRAM. I've got a 4090 currently, so even if the 5080 were to perform better, the drop from 24gb > 16gb VRAM I could never do.

Yeah, that's not something I want to think about going forward so I'm probably going to go Ti or an AMD card with 16GB if AMD gets good reviews.

Consoles have never been there to compete with the highest end PCs or even the PC high end generally. I imagine very few people here will expect the next generation of consoles to have raster performance similar to a 4090, let alone a 5090.

Weird post, something I'd expect to hear in a school playground.
It's gonna be a different 30fps just like the 27fps from cyberpunk demo.

30% is a pretty typical jump from one gen to the next though. 4090 was an outlier with it's larger jump over 3000 series.

You add on the multi frame gen stuff and the 5090 is a very nice upgrade over the 4090.

Perhaps. If I had a 4090 then I'd just stick with that myself. But then again, I'm the guy who is happy being squarely in 4070/4080 land.

I ain't gotta have the absolute best GPU like that other guy....

Really depends on your resolution, I play on a 4k oled and playing AAA games released in the pass 2 years has been a bad experience on my 3080.

PCs without western games are pointless, I see no reason debating about the benefits of having 5090 if my catalog filled with Korean /Japanese Anime style games, the 5090 surely isn't made for these types of games, that's just my opinion.

Yeah because Dragon's Dogma, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and Like a Dragon are franchises that just don't exist, right?

These games are fine, I meant the ones that Asmongold plays, that's an insult to the pc community, we don't play Anime just like we don't play movies. 4090 users shouldn't play these games.

Counter point: those games have big fuckn' tiddies.

And you'll probably need a nice GPU to display those high-fidelity physics-based human bags of love at 4K.

Yeah, this is why I am looking to upgrade from 3080Ti as well. It's too bad Nvidia went so low in VRAM for 5080. :(

No matter what these reviews say, the only thing that's 100% certain is:

Lots of salty comments on NeoGaf about how silly and stupid people are for buying the 5090, followed by how the ps5 pro is a lot better value.
Then there will be quite a few hot responses to that, and the wheel of never ending pain and misery will continue to roll into the sunset. :)

You heard it here first!
What are you? A psychic? Sadly console fans can't seem to grasp that people want to spend the money the way they want. Sure the PS5 and PS5 Pro are a great value with decent exclusives, but some people want a more premium tailored solution.

It's the difference between a Ford GT, a Ford Mustang, and a Ford Fiesta. There's a vehicle for everyone.

Have shared it before here but a pic of my all time favorite vehicle I owned until my knees could not handle getting in and out of it anymore

Sorry for the old crappy pic from when I brought her home back in 2006, only pic I have that didn't have myself and my wife in it :)

Ti would be the right move unless you are very much budget constrained.

And in either case waiting till 9070xt release and benches might not be a bad idea.

Not budget constrained, thankfully. I'm just looking for the best bang for the buck. I definitely want to wait on AMD, but I'm not waiting forever. They need to get their shit together because they don't see very confident in their product at all right now.

Sadly the same is true of some PC fans. Some can't grasp those who want the simple ease of use living room console. We saw in the PS5 Pro threads that PC gamers give as much as they get. But you are right, there is something for everyone so I don't get why anyone gets twisted over anyone else's preferences.

The only appropriate response

TBH, I find it a bit strange that modern PC gamers are obsessed with anime (tons of anime avatars), while that wasn't the case back in the 90s (western games and point and click adventures was the norm).

Maybe it's because many PC gamers these days come from Nintendo?

Anime now are way more mainstream and popular than in early 90s and 2000s.

Me and my friend were in super minority watching anime in that time. Outside of Dragon ball, pokemon and sailor moon, these ones were watched by most young people back then (where I live).

Because anime exploded in popularity. Back in the 90s, the only anime known on a global scale was arguably Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon to a lesser extent.

Today, you have a long list of A-list anime, including ones that rivaled Dragon Ball's popularity in their heyday such as One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto. Dubs and localizations have also come a long way and we no longer need to wait years for them to arrive in the west. There's also the rise of the digital formats that help bring to light many more obscure anime.

Hot damn, she's a beaut. A friend of mine wants to know if you're giving out GT rides. Again, they're a friend and definitely not me.

But then there are these builds. Tailored to the users preference. A couple of which fit near someone's tv or out in the open.
Two of these can fit a 5090, the last one requires specific parts.

DLSS is the future to speed up graphics card. Games without DLSS are old enough to be run without DLSS with good framerates anyway.
And almost every game in the future will have DLSS and Frame Gen.

We have a dude here in Ottawa who has a car like this. keeps driving it in Ottawa around downtown in the summer.

I'm not sure if the guy is mentally okay or if it's part of Ottawa's culture/tourist thing at this point, but I do smile every time I see it. Kids love it, too.

Back to the topic. 5090 reviews one week early are proof that 5090 is going to be epic and great, while the 5080 is spit on the faces of peasants who don't want to pay 2k for a card.

The review of the release date doesn't sound promising at all.

They use real data to identify what the users want. The nature of these data is that it's baseless, which basically, with time, it's pretty normal to alienate what older gamers have been playing on pc. As I said, it's baseless. Call it smart or evil but it's what it is. I don't think passionate good people could come up with something crazy like sticking cyberpunk, genshin impact, GTA creatively without flaws. Otherwise it won't make billions and look different compared to other average games.
