Just so that people don´t miss them (they are on another thread). Apparently from Famitsu china.

VJoe Scratch! For DS: Traditional sidescroller VJ with action on bottom screen, zoom ins on top screen and special moves include cutting billboards with finger on touchscreen for it to fall on enemies for example.

VJoe VFX Battle for GC and PSP: Fighting game

Wow, Capcom is still making games for the GC... and now the DS? How can they let fanbabies rise to positions of decision-making power like this?

Wow, so that means Nbots get both versions? Score

In all seriousness though, since this is probably the first PSP game coinciding with a console release I hope we won't see a massive over flow of comparison shots. :P

Yeah, and the majority of people are bitching about Nintendo fans on this board? -_-

Viewtiful Joe games sell better on Cube smartass.

Mor chiks, nice. This will hopefully keep the VJ franchise from getting stale.
Strange logic you have.

Edit: Top screen for the DS looks like an early Saturn game. :/ i'm sure it'll look better in motion.

Hopefully this means Viewtiful Joe 1+2 shows up on PSP eventually. It got the short end of the stick fromClover getting on a port of the GC fighter spinoff while DS gets a "real" Joe. :/

That DS title looks superb.
I want some bottom screen screens, though.

And I can't wait to see how VFX Battle turns out... I'd actually get it on PSP over GC if it had some sort of online play.

NO, not Famitsu china
the chinese game magazines "borrow" the pics from Famitsu without authorization

Considering how poorly VJ2 sold on both consoles, I'd say this distinction is fairly meaningless.

I'm curious how VJ will be playable on such a small screen. Things are going to either be really small or somewhat limited in scope.

edit: is the Generic Anime girl in the Hitler Youth outfit going to be in the DS game?

So the PSP version is the same as the GC version? Interesting. I wonder if there will be any exclusives to one or both of the versions, like the addition of Dante to the PS2 version of VJ 1.

I would die laughing if the PSP version was superior. :lol

I think they should add Mario. They already payed homage to him in Viewtiful Joe.

QUESTION!
Does Joe whistle the Mario Bros. Theme in the PS2 version of Viewtiful Joe?

I don´t think the size of the characters on screen will be a problem at all. Just look at mario plataformers. Also joe is bigger than most characters in plataformers on handhelds (especially the ports), and the zoom in VFX is an integral part of interaction with other characters.

thats a damn good question, I've wondered that myself. And the Gamecubes that Gran Bruce throws at you in the trash... I've never gotten an answer though.

VJ Scratch looks and sounds really good. Can't wait to play it. God knows DS needs some new releases that I'm interested in playing.

Wow, Scratch looks alot better than I ever thought it would, probably even better in action.

is there only one scan ? cuz I can see PSP and GC's only .. no screens for DS appearing for me .. !!

Like most, I'm looking forward to a new VJ sidescroller. Although that fighting game doesn't sound cool yet. I'll have to try it at E3 to see if it works.
(Although if the PSP continues to just get console ports, I don't think you'll have to worry about exclusives...)

Cool, they've got Captain Blue Junior from the anime series. I really wish they're give more episodes. Alastor's story on it rocked. :(

Which shots are from the DS version? I see two sets of pictures--one that says "GC" and one that says "PSP".

Or, am I not looking at the right screen?

DS version looks killer, and the graphics effects on the fighting game look really cool. I'm hyped...Go, DS at $100 by Christmas!

Damn PSP owners get stuck with a stupid fighting game. Capbomb better make a sidescroller for PSP as well!

BTW the PSP and GC screens of the dumb VJ fighter show the benefit of having a widescreen viewing angle! :D

No, what they SHOULD do is cancel the DS game and redo it for the PSP!!! Joe could have an extendable arm that you can use to chop the wood pieces with the analog nub! OMG

For crying out loud! And then they call Nintendo fans persistent...
WHY is it so bad that Capcom decides to give the DS a chance too? The PSP is getting it's own Viewtiful Joe game, based on the PSP's hardware... The very same goes for the DS. The very fact that the Nintendo DS allows for touchscreen-input, invites developers to make use of that feature: 90% of the crowd expects a developer to use those features, it's what they bought the DS for; a new gaming-'experience'.

Take a game like Polarium / Chokan Hitofude. You can't play that on a PSP. Well, maybe you could, but not as it is meant to be played. In the very same way, the DS won't have games which graphics such as Ridge Racers on the PSP.
My point here is that the DS and PSP are totally different machines. So what if both get a different version of Viewtiful Joe? So what if Capcom decides to try out a new 'move' based on the unique capabilities of the platform?

sheesh >_>

I agree with him ^_^

I don't knwo much about this game but the DS one looks like a faithful sequal to the other 2 while the PSP game seems more like a beat 'em up/streets of rage style game. If I am right then the DS one intrests me a little more right now. Lets hope we get more info soon

I am actually very Unimpressed with the Viewtfull Joe scrath. the DS graphics makes the game look all blocky. I was hoping the viewtful Joe Scratch would atleast looks as good as the Gamecube Viewtful Joe 1 and 2, but it looks like a downgrade.
