Vita "hacked," (PSP) homebrew on the way (not piracy)

The not so secret secrecy makes no sense.

First of all, it's not like sony doesn't watch wololo.

Second of all, it's the internet. Info leaks out.

Thirdly, even IF sony didn't know which game it was, they know that the game is a PSP game available on PSN for download and the title has been revealed to plenty of people on wololo. Sales spikes of any PSP title on PSN, especially if it's not a game currently at a discount or a game from a mega franchise, would raise a red flag.

Even if it's just a few dozen people buying a game that only ~10 people bought each week for the last 6 months.

That said, I would like the title

I can't find it one twitter either :(

Help me GAF.

The only stuff I've seen on Twitter are people talking about older exploits and also one exploit that WAS going to be used for TN-V4 but it was unstable. That one got patched out in Firmware 3.01, though.

I would be very grateful if someone could PM me the name of the game, as i'm going to bed soon and dont want to miss it! (I'm surprised it hasn't already been named in email quotes in this thread)

Never seen such a ridiculous showing from a homebrew community.

To be clear, if one were to purchase the game with the loophole, perform this "hack" and enable homebrew, the Vita would then have to be kept permanently off the PSN to prevent updates that close the loophole, and the device would only function for games that correspond up to the version of firmware it's running? So, there goes the PS+ library?

So, if one wanted a Vita to emulate SNES/Genesis games, that person would have to give up access to a large portion of the Vita?

My understanding is that you can use your ps3 to download the games and transfer them to your vita. If you have a ps3 that is

and the emu portions are locked to PSP speeds and frequencies. Why not get a cheap PSP? I'm getting one on 2014

This release is special because you can play UMD and ps1 backups

It would be nice if someone could confirm what I asked above since the game isn't that specific... and I actually still have my PSP Slim 2000 but after using the Vita I can't stand the screen anymore :(

So basically I need to
1. Buy this game.
2. Let it sit on my vita
3. Download the TnV-4 whenever it's released
4. Put it on my vita along with my UMD backups through which program?
5. Launch the exploited game
6. I can now play my games through the exploit

Is that correct?

I just like messing around with my gadgets in general.

Exactly. I buy consoles and handhelds that have some decent hardware. If I can make them do more than they were meant to do, I am all for it. It's like putting DD-WRT on a router. It makes it a far better router than it used to be.

Make SURE you back it up to your PC, too.

Can anyone tell me how much the game is in USD? I'm curious as to how much PSN credit I need to buy if I'm going to create a new account and get a PSN voucher (if they even come that small, however much it is). Or can games be gifted over PSN? I suspect not, but it's gotta be worth asking.

So for some reason only us Aussies here so far can see it...
Very odd. No matter though, didn't take long to leak! Can only hope that it lasts until I get home and charge the Vita.
