Yeah even if they were £50 each, id pay £300 for the set then and i'd be fine with that.
Close, but FW still wants more
Single books are 74£ each :lol

In other news, have you guys seen the new trailer for DoW 3 that was released a few days ago?

It's looking nice, like wayyy better than when they first showed it off. As always it's looking to have the staple of Relic's amazing character animations.

I really enjoyed that mode in DoW 2 where you played one character and tried to survive wave after wave of enemy. In fact i dont think my 32-year old Real time management skills could handle coordinating a whole army any more!
Still, day one.
Looks like we got some more info and a trailer for the next Gathering Storm book.

You are truly not worthy of shas'vre
Our Conquest is inevitable, our ascension a matter of time. Let none who are wise deny our destiny.
Holy moly!! Was this expected or rumoured?
Scans of the next months White Dwarf have surfaced! They say that Guilliman is the first loyalist Primarch, but I'm not sure if that means that more are definitely coming or if it's just a wording goof.

If what it says is along the lines of "the first loyalist Primarch to return" then i don't think that necessarily hints at there being others coming back, it's just stating that this is the first time an event like this has happened in the setting, he's the first to return regardless of if there's more coming or not.

What if he creates causes a huge chunk of humanity to break away from the current state and create a new age of strife?

I can see that. From the leaks it seems that he is unhappy about what is happening to the Imperium.

Which is why it's likely he won't stay around in the setting for long. Considering they've specifically mentioned his backpack has a life support device in it, i expect that'll break at some point and he'll go back into Stasis.
That genie ain't going back into a bottle.
Hasn't he done this once before already, during the Heresy? Seems like it would be the most obvious route for him to go at this stage, and would also add a lot of drama into imperial forces and allow them some space to change things a bit.
Would be extra interesting as the smurfs are the most stereotypical, loyal space marines - how they each to their primarch setting up a new imperium without the god emperor would be an fascinating situation. Your primarch returns due to a miracle, and then immediately says your god is false and sets up a new empire...
I seriously doubt they're going to keep him as part of the setting for long. He's going on about fixing the Imperium, there is no way that is happening as the Imperium being broken is pretty much their entire premise.
You keep saying that, but times are a'changin'! It's pretty obvious at this point that GW isn't simply dabbling a toe in the water. It's a new era and this is no longer your father's 40k.
Didn't they pretty much nuke Warhammer Fantasy? Why not do an encore?
He's going to try and fix the Imperium, but he isn't going to succeed, is he?
Exactly.
Him being back just makes more conflict. 40k is just going to get darker.
Didn't you just say you thought he was actually going to fix things, though? Maybe i got it wrong but i thought you were saying him sorting out the Imperium was something you thought would actually happen.
For what it's worth, the article says that the third book will not end up with a battle, but with a revelation.
You got it wrong.
To clarify even further, the more Primarchs and eldar Phoenix Lords that show up, the worse things will get. They're only showing up at the End Times after all!
You really they're gonna pull the plug on 40k after how the fantasy Warhammer end times and Age of Sigmar panned out?
I thought they got a lot of blow back from the fans for doing that.

Is this the End Times for Warhammer 40,000?
"Ha, no!" says Andy. "Not even remotely. The return of Guilliman is a glorious event that marks the possible salvation of the Imperium. It is certainly a game-changer, both in the background and in the game itself, but this is definitely not the end of all things. The universe of Warhammer 40, 000 will still be there when the trumpets stop blaring and the dust of Guilliman's return settles, as will the Imperium, the Necrons, the Tau, Orks, Eldar and so on. And of course, the forces of Chaos."
I don't want GW to end the 40k story like they did with Warhammer. I do hope to see them take us further towards the finish with a return of the heroes and villains of old with fresh new takes on rules, scenerios, miniatures, and lore.
All the talk of 40k end times was so ridiculous. 40k is GW's cash cow, it keeps the whole company afloat. They're not going to throw that under a bus on the off chance they might produce something more popular, especially after the lukewarm reception to AoS.
They probably could've turned WFB around if they'd tried, but the CEO at the time was a complete buffoon and his decisions caused a lot of the problems in the first place.
At least it wasn't too late to salvage AoS after its poor launch, the General's Handbook was a great move and AoS has become a really fun game now with a healthy and growing audience.
GW's much more customer-friendly company these days too, under the current leadership.
As they keep only hinting at him being the "possible salvation of the Imperium" and keep wording it specifically to be a "possible" thing, that supports that it isn't going to happen and something will go wrong with him. They've also been going on about how Guilliman coming back is this huge event on its own as well, so i don't think they're likely to bring back any other Primarchs alongside him.
The rumour mill is saying that more Primarchs will surface and one from both sides will switch sides (but how is that even possible without TTS hijinks?). Supposedly Mortarion will pop up next, if the model leak is legit.
Hmmmm
Alpharius to the good guys? No idea who would go to the dark side though.
