Watch_Dogs 2 |OT| .HTML

Played for 5 or so hours today... jeez the gunplay is bad, even worse than WD1 somehow. The stealth and hacking mechanics are superb though, the level/scenario designs really reward smart thinking.

Purchased the digital version and forgot to apply a 20% off code I had. Ended up paying full price, which I have not done in a long time thanks to GCU. A bit salty, but it's not a huge deal. Looking forward to playing it in a few!

I am a prime member. What is this key I need to redeem and what should I get?

Ah, I guess I don't get it because my wife is the primary Prime owner. -_-

Got it today (could have had it Friday but Purolator messed up my delivery). Anyhow, really enjoying it a lot and can see myself sinking a lot of time into it. Lots of fun and variety to be had in this sandbox.

for people who used the Twitch Prime code...did the Twitch Hoodie get unlocked for you?

The person on the stream I was watching earlier had redeemed the code (since the other 2 exclusive gear packs were unlocked) but the hoodie wasn't there. Just trying to see if this is an actual problem for everyone.

On PSN it's the Pixel Art Pack; Guts, Grits and Liberty Pack; and yes, the Twitch Hoodie pack. All redeeming correctly.

one last question...

Did anyone get their codes for in-game DLC from Ubisoft for the Join Dedsec program? There were 4 pieces of DLC to "buy" (outfit, drone skin, and 2 cars...maybe just car skins, no idea). I picked PC and I know that version has 2 weeks to go but still haven't gotten any codes yet. Wanting to see if anyone who had chosen PS4 or XB1 actually got their codes since the game is out now for those.

Bought. As a fan of the first one , i cant wait to see all the improvements.

The city alone looks way more fantastic and fun to explore the chicago

Man this game is so sooo good, also it's very funny to insult people and see their reaction lmao.

Can't wait to play more tomorrow.

It's very sharp on the PS4 Pro, there's still some jagging but overall the IQ is great. Frame rate gets pretty dodgy while driving unfortunately.

Early days but the game seems pretty cool, though I don't like why the story is heading. Seems like it's going to be boring.

How are people liking the game? is it better than the first?
It's got a completely different vibe but some of the same mechanics and ideas. A lot of camera hopping and figuring out the puzzle that is restricted areas.

I like it infinitely more already just because I'm not Aiden Pearce.

Nonlethal is basically "hard mode" - guards wake up again on their own after like 1-2 minutes. Which is making the game a bit dissonant - Marcus doesn't seem like a guy who would execute all guards, but it's the most straightforward way to play.

Well I played for a couple hours. I don't know, I'm kinda leaning toward: "this is really boring." Even with the game throwing constant interruptions and ubi-open-world shit at you every ten steps.

Vehicles are disappointing.

Performance has been alright for me though on Pro. Haven't noticed any fps issues yet.

Idk these types of games... they're not doing it for me anymore. Think I'm tired of this formula. So boring.

Any update on the patch to reenable onine?

Edit - 1.03 is out but online still disabled? Doesn't have patch notes just says visit their website

Honestly, I hate the fuckin driving in this game and I hate the cop AI even more. Way too aggressive and both make chase sections a pain. Everything else has been great though.

Watch Dogs 2 is a lot better than the first game.
Kind of like the leap in quality between Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed 2, really.

I got the game and played for a sec at work. I did like the driving though, what part didn't you like? Just for comparison, how did you feel about GTA 5's driving and Mafia 3? Personally, I like GTA 5 and WD2, but absolutely hated how Mafia 3 worked.

Never played either but the driving in this game is incredibly twitchy and its easy to run into stuff.

My major gripes are with this section though.
You're timed
You're chased and rammed into by incredibly aggressive AI
It's incredibly long
Twitchy driving makes it hard to maneuver between objects and other vehicles.

Edit: Okay, it wasn't that bad, it's just late and I'm frustrated.

The driving is awful just like the first game, no idea why they didn't bother improving it. I just stick to bikes whenever possible.

No they released a statement saying online will be disabled for now. Not available at launch. Patch won't fix it. Co op by invite still works.

I thought the statement was that we were waiting on a patch basically?? Sites yesterday ran a statement from Ubi that sounded almost identical wording but removed the apology and added that the patch was in cert. Surely this is that patch.

Mafia 3 feels really, really great in simulation mode IMO. Up there with GTAIV, even surpassing it in stylish handbrake drifts. Not as dynamic, but still a very strong 2nd place.

I thought GTAV was a step down across the board going back in a more arcadey direction. The feel and visuals of car suspensions and crash physics were less interesting, and some of the top tier cars are way stickier and twitchy.

Haven't gotten my hands on Watch Dogs 2 yet, but just from the footage I've seen it does look twitchy, although more consistently so than the first game, which would jump from twitchy and weightless to awkward heavier slides every few seconds. I can deal with a twitchy game if it's consistent.

Played for a few hours. I like it, but I don't know if it's really for me. I got it for half price with my PS4 Pro order, so I'm planning on playing it for a week and selling it on Ebay.

I like the driving a lot, and the on-foot controls are great. It's so nice having an open-world game at this level of fidelity that doesn't feel like utter garbage under your thumbs. You don't have to hold a button to jog, the parkour is perfectly simple and easy, switching weapons and taking cover and melee attacking just feels good.

There's been no real story so far, but the main missions are... I don't know, fine. I haven't really got the hang of stealth yet, and it's all too easy for one guy seeing you to turn into a huge gunfight within a couple of seconds. I pretty quickly gave up on any intention of perfect stealth play and now I just blaze everyone if I get spotted. I'll start experimenting a little more when I unlock some more equipment and abilities. Playing around with all the hacking abilities seems like a lot of fun; I was getting up so some very silly antics with one of those elevator truck things, driving through the city from like 40m in the air :P

I liked the Cyber Driver mission, and the
Kanye West
side mission was even better, that soundboard lol.

Have to admit the encounters are kinda hard for me. I don't have many weapons/options yet and once the guards gang up on you it can be pretty hard to avoid death. I need to get into a different mindset and realize this isn't GTA where I can shootbang everything. Control scheme takes some getting used to as well.

The Cyberdriver jacket you get after that mission is fucking DOPE, I'd wear that irl.

Also, kinda missed that myself but after that mission you can select the Cyerdriver car in the Car On Demand-app. It sounds like a jet engine when starting, super cool.

Yeah I saw that pop up, have to try it out this evening. Kinda excited to get into it again.
