Watch_Dogs 2 |OT| .HTML

Seems more accurate than Chicago was in the first. I was really let down how my home city was handled in WD1.

Same here. Chicago is not my home town, but one of my favorite to visit, and with WD1 I really didn't feel like I was there.

This time they nailed it. I saw another video from someone living in SF playing the game and panning over outside in real life showing the same exact view as in-game. Wish I could link that as well but forgot where I saw it, it just blows my mind.

I haven't failed to find an invader with my drone yet. Hacker vision makes it impossible to beat. And it times out way too fast on the capture invader part so a dude got away from me when he was on another side of a building and not even running away. They really need to tweak this stuff.

On the flip side I have found a way to hack other players without losing. Just hack them when they are at a restricted area and start a gang war. Then their drone will get shot down when they start looking for you lol.

so whats the difference between the calling cops vs calling a gang hit?

Seems like you can upgrade the gang more?

Well cops will try to arrest people more so it may not cause the chaos you are looking for when calling them. And they cannot be called on security companies.

You know, thematically, it would make sense if there was an option to call for a flashmob of your followers as a distraction?

Shit would be kinda dark if gangs start shooting them though...

I just started really playing this. Liking it a lot. But I chose hard difficulty and the cops and security guards are fucking mad men. Just walking in a restricted area gets you shot to death immediately. The first mission that you steal a car in, man the cops were ramming the shit out of me and it took me like a whole 10 minutes to escape. Does difficulty have an effect on cop chases because I might have to lower if those get too annoying, I noticed the roadblocks and traffic jams and pipes you can hack to slow down the cops aren't very easy to pull off like in Watch Dogs 1 and that's something I really liked in that game.

Other than that really liking it so far.

I've been able to call cops on security companies. Unless this was patched.

Hrrm, I think I tried to do it on the ones that have blue icons over them on the minimap. They drive cars that are fitted like police cars but you can kill them all and they stop dispatching unlike regular police.

I did notice in a vid earlier this year that you could call the cops on a cop. So in the middle of them arresting an NPC you could get their partner to turn on them. I wish they hadn't patched that out because the fuckery would be awesome.

I don't get the complaints about the cops, I love that they are aggressive as fuck, once you get enough skills they are pretty easy to shake too. I spent like 4 hours last night fighting cops and bounty hunters and taking bounties. Highlights were a 30 minute 5 star escape that ended with a boat chase though the bay (almost got away but a player hit me with a ridiculous headshot from another boat), killing a driving vigilante while on foot using a gas pipe explosion, holding up in a donut shop with explosive mines guarding the entrances while 4 players and like 10 cops tried to gun me down, and lobbing a sticky bomb onto a vigilantes car from a rooftop. The multiplayer is sooo much fun.

...and we're done.

My first platinum ever too, yea it was easy but I never care about trophies so getting this was a little special. I always thought Fallout 4 would be my first plat.

-65 hours
-around %92 total completion (story + extras)
-All ScoutX done (probably one of the best things in the game, San Fran in this game is beautiful and so detailed).

Time for FFXV, not deleting Watch_Dogs 2 though. Will def pop in from time to time to fuck around.

Goodnight San Francisco <3

NPC AI really keeps impressing me, even after 50+ hours. So many little touches and interactions everywhere, I can't even imagine how much work went into all that.

i'm having a lot of fun with it. Even if it has UBI DESIGN TM all over it, it's so charming. The writing is actually good, the city looks amazing and alive, the side stuff for now is quite fun and the dynamic MP is pretty great.

I'm having stutters on PC and it's making me mad, tho.

I live in San Francisco. The general appearance of the city and the major landmarks look right for the most part, but the entire city is compressed to like 1/2 - 1/3 it's actual size. It's really noticeable on the bridges. The real life bridges are much taller and longer.

Oakland on the other hand... it barely looks like it.

A few things:

1. What's wrong with the police AI? They are driving totally reckless (with me not being wanted at all, mind you). Ran me over twice at this point while jogging around lol

2. Who thought these police chases were fun and brought them back (talking about the movie car mission right now but I bet there will be more of this shit) in the same way? Need to get that anti heli skill asap if it still exists

3. Who the hell thought of these environmental hacking puzzles (basically what the network hacking was in the first game but now you have to chase around for 5mins to solve them)? Specifically talking about the one on and around some tower, I just quit because it appears I need a drone to solve it.

4. Car handling and collisions still feel like nothing

Overall nice game so far though. The more chilled tone is exactly what was needed, I just hope it won't turn into Saints Dogs 3 as the franchise progresses.

You are right on part 3. There are puzzles that require the quad copter and it's much easier to complete most puzzles using it

Stealth in this game is such a fucking nuisance and definitely not fun. Want to keep an enemy from calling reinforcements? You must run 5 seconds across the other side of the red zone in order to find the hidden enemy calling the cops!

Jesus.

The more I play the game, the more I am getting annoyed by the crap stealth mechanics and absolute horrendous driving controls.

I am missing something here, in the DeadSec HQ
This is to get the two paint jobs inside the HQ vents.

I used RC to get access codes from one side.

Now I have vent down.

How do I retrieve the cans using Jumper though?

You can hack their phones from quite a distance away once you have the skill assigned. Also you can profile all the enemy and see which ones have the ability to call reinforcements and take them out first. Or you can sit in a car and do the whole mission with your drones.

lol I finished the entire game without killing anybody. I used my drone/RC in most of them too.
Honestly, get some of those unlocks mentioned above and it helps a ton.

You start off with nothing...it's frustrating but gets better.

I really like the change in tone for this game. But I knew as someone who really enjoyed Watch Dogs 1 that they'd probably change some things I liked about it.

Namely the driving, I actually loved the driving in WD1. It had a satisfying weight to it, but I totally expected it to change based all the complaints they must've got about it.
I really don't like this game's driving, I think it's terrible. It won't ruin the whole game for me but still it bothers me.

Also aiming and shooting doesn't feel as smooth as the first one to me but I haven't played enough to really judge it.

I'm talking about the key data for Lombard Street or I think that's what it's called, usually when you go to the area you'll get an alert that it's nearby and then when you pull up the map you'll see the green icon for it.

Ooooh it Is on top one of the roofs under a wood deck

Use your drone

Wtf, invasions and co-op are tanking the framerate again. Bounties are fine but twice today the game has gotten stuck at like 20fps after another player entered my instance.

So, after you get the first upgrade that lets you start hacking cars and whatnot in order to move them while they're being driven, how can you hack the drivers again? I'm constantly running out of that energy resource when driving, and I used to be able to just hack nearby drivers for the resource. Now I can't hack the drivers, and instead I can only manipulate their vehicle.

Yep, total ballache.

Instantly regretted it too but then realized how useful moving cars is in online and escaping police.

Do you have the research to make the jumper jump higher unlocked?

Anyone know if there's a way to add my own music to the in-game radio?

If not, I don't mind just playing via the PS4 media player, but it'd be nice if I could have it be in-game.

Nope and the game doesn't have proper Spotify support. You have to manually turn off music and it doesn't pause during cut scenes.

Sounds better than Infamous: Second Son, where they dropped some landmarks in a random city and called it Seattle.

Just randomly stumbled across donut man who was getting picked on by some guys so I beat em up and got a photo with him.

So much great random stuff happens when you just walk around . I loved gta5 for similar reasons but I feel more happens randomly in this game.

game is quite a bit more manageable after getting the upgrade to increase stun gun range. The range is now massive lol.

Not really sure what I need money for after getting the quadcopter? I don't see any other not nonlethal weapons to 'craft'. Guess I can buy more clothes? idk.

shame there are no mods for your gear in this game.

It's checkerboarding to 1800p not 4k. So it's rendering at some resolution much lower than 1800p.

I would like to know what that resolution is.

Anyone have both versions? How is the IQ on pro compared to pc?
I suspect that they use the same temporal filtering tech in the PC version, so natively it's 900p.

I guess I need to change my mindset regarding stealth in this one.

Coming from MGS, Splinter Cell, Thief, Styx and other stealth induced games, this one needs an entirely different approach. I don't like relying on my drone or jumper in order to finish missions in red zones, but I guess I do not have any other choice.
