Watch_dogs: Wind, Water, light effects - [PS4 version confirmed]

Found this on my daily Watch_Dogs tweetering search...

Originally when I found the article it was mentioned it was PC footage, however the video is actually from a PS4 devkit. PC is incoming.

so the only version worth getting will be PC? even though some NPC's looked bland the ones talking on cellphone during the rain sequence looked pretty good.

I hope they pull this stuff with the PS4 though.

Dat beat is stuck in my head now.

BOOM...DE...BE..BOOM.BOOM..BOOM....DE...BE! DON! DON! DON!

Looks fine just fine. Fine. Fine.

Nothing spectacular though. The water looks exactly like CryEngine's default water with tesselation.

Thought it looked great when it was "PC" footage but now that it's actually PS4 footage I'm even more impressed with the video.

Huh... I wonder how many of those effects will be available on console too.

To clarify, it says "exclusive video" not "exclusive PC tech", so it *is* possible to ask that question ;) (and yes, I speak German, danke)

That'll be why.

The PC team would've been all like 'oh hey bros tessellation and wind dynamics simulation' and the PS4 team will have been all like 'nah bro i'mma get a sammige'.

I'm assuming that the PC team is using DirectX libraries and the PS4 team is like "Fuck programming our own, we'll just stick with what we have"

Reasoning, please make it stop. PLEASE!

It's a shame that people's excitement for Watch Dogs is purely based on graphical quality. Am I the only one still intrigued by the game's premise?
