I'm getting him in two weeks. He's relatively quiet and reserved, but not shy. Needs a name, currently referred to as Jeb. So obviously that shit has got to go. Don't want to give him a typical dog name(Buddy, Shadow, Lucky), or a common human name(Max, Charlie, Jack). Want to keep it simple and snappy. Two syllables, no less, maybe three or four if it's really good. Made a quick list of names that fit that criteria, well the two syllables at least. Mostly ancient/historical names though. Not married to that theme, just easiest to find uncommon names that way.

One of my dogs name is Tengu (I got it from an EVE Online ship, but the word has its own meaning in Japanese as a legendary creature in their folklore, "heavenly dog" and also a Chinese dog-like demon according to wikipedia)

My dog is named Cam, it is the family dog. Originally we named it after Cam Newton for some dumb reason, I thought it was a bad idea because...like what if Cam Newton does something awful in the future. Like I have a friend who named their cat Cosby after Bill Cosby...pre-rape stuff. Later someone pointed out it is an made from all my siblings and I first names (Carson, Austin, Mason) so we've kind of gone with that idea.
