Those white lines are animated just to let you know. I hope a firmware update is in order so we can use our own pics on the memory stick as the background and not just as a temporary one like it is currently.

You could put in a temporary background on your PSP with a picture on your memorystick, thanx CVXFREAK, but it will disapear if you watch a movie or play mp3s.

View an image then go back to the menu. It will overlay the menu on top of the image and make it slightly transparent.

Your explanation is kind of wrong. Just going back to menu by pressing X does nothing. You're supposed to press Select while viewing the pic. Pretty cool.

Well ya, obviously you can't hit X or it just clears out of picture mode.

You could have also pressed the "home" button then left when viewing a pick as well to leave the temporary background.
