TvC looks awesome, i guess they're using that as a base.wRATH2x said:So the gaming gods finally hear my plea!
I'm expecting 3D, but I'm really hoping for 2d

Capcom has a lot of faces. Mega Man is officially their mascot, Ryu is the character most associated with their fighting brand, neither one sells games as well as zombies do, but looking at past cover art, both of them will probably be on the cover.

Why should the game be more complex?DRock said:Bring back 6 buttons![]()
Personal preference. I could never get into MvC2 because of it. Same with TvC.rocK` said:Why?
Tekken 6 with it's relatively balanced 44-character roster says such a thing is feasible, but yeah I dunno about a vs. game. It's nice to dream though.Raging Spaniard said:Oh I just realized they really have no excuse to bring Thor this time around. Spiderwoman also.
lol at well balanced 40-50 characters prediction. That aint happening.

I guess it's a muscle memory thing with my fingers.
this is pretty true.Fersis said:Balance talk in a MvC thread? Thats like talking about Sonic color eyes!! :lol
MvC2 was a failure on the competitive scene due to his poor balance amirite?
SF III: 3rd Strike was a failure on the competitive scene due to his poor balance amirite?
Balance is overrated bitches!
If they aren't going to make an attempt at balance, I agree with you that I'd love for Capcom to just go all out with the number of characters.Draft said:You guys are nuts. Balance? F' that. F' that hard.
I don't care one little bit about balance. I want 100 fully playable characters each with multiple retarded super moves, insane assists depending on their stance, and 50 color variations per character.
Make mine madness.
Oh, you had me with you up until that '2.5D' comment. Ughhh...enzo_gt said:Smaller roster? No. Go fucking balls out on this Capcom. I want 100 semi-balanced characters with nostalgia beyond belief. Screw a story mode, go straight up Arcade, Versus and Training and 60$ justified.
And 2.5D please, I don't care if they steal the models straight out of SSFIV.
so you want 100 characters with 2D artEYEL1NER said:Oh, you had me with you up until that '2.5D' comment. Ughhh...

i guess they could always reuse some more Alpha and Vamipre sprites

I loved TvC's contextual "light, medium, hard" approach much better than MvC1
And I'll be on the side for the sloppy seconds lolshaowebb said:I know I'd fuck a copy of Marvel vs Capcom 3 if I could lay my hands on it.

Was TvC not 2.5D with a whole bunch of filters/effects on top? That's awesome too.EYEL1NER said:Oh, you had me with you up until that '2.5D' comment. Ughhh...

You know what? I'll be honest, I can't say that I wouldn't want that._dementia said:so you want 100 characters with 2D art

So dont get me wrong, you want an HD 2D game thats faster than Tatsunoko. That can be done in either dimension and so far Capcom has chosen not to, its not a matter of "cant" (I myself like games a little slower than Mahvel, I dont like every single animation to be so snappy)
It's also a staggeringly broken game, too.RoboJ said:This cannot be stressed enough. It's arguable that no other fighter (including VF) has such a staggering barrier to entry in the competitive scene as MvC2.

diztrukted said:honestly, i don't see any reason this wouldn't be 2.5d done in a sf4 style. only thing hindrance would be having the large number of fighters in MvC2 which I'm sure could be added later via DLC or dare I say it (Hyper Marvel vs Capcom 3: Incredible All-Stars) :lol
Im still calling bullshit on that. MvC2's perceived fast pace is due to the fact that that both sides are constantly calling out assists so there is a lot of things going on the screen at once. TvC has more of a 1v1 feel to it, but the characters don't move any slower, and they sure as hell don't move any less fluid.hitsugi said:thanks
and to those that posted a TVC vid of wong vs whoever with Tatsunoko - you swear I haven't seen other vids of that game. I live in LA and see matches like that in person and you are kidding yourselves if you think it's as fast or fluid as Marvel. That is all.
Man, that is an awesome suggestion.Host Samurai said:I would rather it be Shonen Jump over Marvel but ill take it![]()
I want 70+ characters, 2d (it will be 2.5), and dont give a damn how unbalanced it is. If I want balanced than Ill play SSF4, I want madness here.
Fighters that should be in
The Killer7 ( all as one character)

This is going nowhere. And yes it is apparent you aren't big on TvC. I will just say that IAD and the dash glitch in TvC has you controlling the speed of your character's movement all the same.hitsugi said:look, it's apparent that you aren't a huge fan of Marvel.. and I'm not big on Tatsunoko. Now, yes it's true that MVC2 has 3 characters on screen at... most times, but there's more to it than that.
You can call bullshit on whatever you'd like to, but the TVC roster lacks options that certain Marvel characters have (triangle jumps, sentinel), thus - these characters can and DO move faster than anything in Tatsunoko.
It's not a fighter, it's a real-time strategy game. Troop management, resource collection, upgrade paths, it's got it all.GuardianE said:The game can be incredibly complex, actually. There is debatably no fighter more complex than MvC2.
