Seems like Aloy by a lot. I don't think ellie is recognizable enough. At least without dirt and crap splattered on her face.

Probably Ellie, specially since the HBO show has also given the character a lot of exposure to people outisde of gaming.
Sony clearly wants it to be Aloy though, which is funny since she is the worst part of her own franchise lol.

Kat is obviously the best Sony wifu though

Kat is my favorite design, unfortunately she (and the games are) not well known.

In their mind Aloy.

It should have been Ellie but I'm sure she's not strong or ugly or fat enough for Sony.

That's MJ for Spider-Man 2? Fuck.

Nintendo has the best mascots. Samus, Pyra, Zelda, Edelgard, or Rosalina? Wait, I just figured it out.

Sony's mascot could be Lady Ann from P5R.

If you don't know who this is you're not really a PS fan.

I haven't played any of the TLOU games and have no intention to either (not for the obvious reason) they just seem very boring to me but that being said it has to be Elle, she's been the face of Playstaion for years now on all the major and minor marketing material.

PlayStation has no male or female mascots, dawg. They have Toro Inoue and Astro Bot, both genderless characters.

Ellie is hardly mascot material...cant really imagine that face being plastered on kids T Shirts and lunch boxes the same way Mario and Sonic would be.
Sony seemed have always struggled a bit on that front, especially after the PS1 era, which is why that Smash Bros style game they developed died a death.

Most prominent? Probably Lara Croft. I feel like everyone knew who she was. If they didn't play games, they at least knew about her from various advertisements/magazines.

Aloy is up there too, but the thing about Aloy is that she will never be the same level that Lara Croft was, and still is in some cases. I feel like experienced gamers will recognize Aloy, but many won't. But almost everyone will recognize Lara Croft.

Also, selfishly, for me the "worst" Tomb Raider is better than anything in the Horizon IP. I just don't get the appeal, personally.
