Why Cant Silent Hill 4 The Room Be Remade Right After Silent Hill 2?

I could use a Pick-Me-Up Game right now to make me feel good about things, and Silent Hill 4 sounds great.

Remake SH1 and follow it up with 3 since they are both linked. That's all they need to do. SH4 the room and beyond can stay the way they are. Mediocre games.

I wanted to come out and state how THIS Game should be remade next. It needs a fix and they should contact members of Team Silent as a means of consultancy.
They could take the entire game of SH4 and twist it to Perfection. I mean, I don't want a remake of SH1, at least not before 4, but if they do it.. eh.. I'd take it, lol.

SH4 has its flaws but in my opinion is one of the most scariest SH game, especially when part of the room starts to get possessed.
I think they could/should have done more with the concepts they had, but Konami was cracking the whip and I don't think they got time to breathe, in order to b more creative... that's why I want this remade over 1, mostly.

Not being able to "kill" the ghosts is super annoying. Parts of its background lore does tie in with SH2 though. I just hope they don't do something stupid like remake 3 before remaking part 1. 2 worked because it had nothing to do with 1 other than the town itself. 3 needs a lot of work because the map is mostly the same as part 2. Needs new locations to go to. I hated how one we got there the actual town just felt like an afterthought.

A lot of enemies could be destroyed with the pipe or just run past. For the Ghosts... it's good to use the Sknife on them and pin them down, if you're about it, then you can collect those knives (sometimes multiple/ghosts/knives per section) and carry them over to the next section, before completing the current section. I used to hate this fucking game, but now I don't... it's annoying AF, though and I feel they didn't get to work on it as much as they wanted, not just going by the interviews, it's apparent when I play it, to me.

Just checked the timespan from when SH3 released to SH4... 1 year and 1 month/Some Days... talk about fast tracking.

I mean more than one time in my life I felt like someone was at my window looking in at me. I was always higher than the first floor too :O.

If your window is a TV screen, that's a pretty spooky thing.

I got a WHOLE SECTION of my room dedicated to it :D

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
As someone who’s out of the loop, why do I only ever hear about Silent Hill 2 and 4? Is Konami allergic to odd numbers, or are the other games just ass?

Silent Hill 1 & 3 are fantastic but you can't have 3rd game without the first they are connected.
Oh okay. I sort of assumed each silent hill was its own story.

I’ve only ever played 2 remake.

Second best SH IMO

I am down. With all the 4 references in the game, it's a natural progression IMO. Plus, I don't want to wait for both SH1 and 3 to be released before getting 4.

The flying ghosts would come out the walls and fly backwards would be the funniest shit when I played it. I would like to see it again

I hear about Silent Hill 1 and 3 way more often than 4, and 1 and especially 3 are much better than 4 (which is pretty good itself especially compared to later entries like Homecoming and Downpour).

Pretty sure doing 4 next would kill the momentum they have coming off of 2. Wasn't 4 originally a different game Konami slapped the Silent Hill name on?
Anyway do 4 after 1 and 3, if at all. But my guess is if Bloober knocks it out of the park with 1 and 3, Konami will give Bloober the blessing to go ahead and make an original Silent Hill.

Makes sense, since a remake of 3 will probably embarrass itself by looking worse than a PS2 game:

Even though there's a HD version but the original Silent Hill 3 still looked amazing on the PS2 with some of the best character faces during that time. that still aged well. If only the HD version kept the amazing voices of the OG Silent Hill 3 than it would have been perfect.
