NSMBWii sounds fine with the HLE plugin.darkwings said:has the HLE sound plugin been fixed for nsmb yet?
4xMSAA does the trick, 8xMSAA if you're taking a screenshot for gaf to drool over.Bebpo said:What kind of settings should you use to get a nice clean no jaggy image but still a good framerate?
Also is 4525 the newest version?

Black screen for me. I'll download the VERY latest rev and screw around with the settings to see if I can get it to work.sfried said:Anybody tried Silent Hill: Shattered Memories with this yet?
My God, Endless Ocean looks...gorgeous...

These are 1920x1200 and in PNG. You can choose your own resolution and compression methods after you download them.
By the way, Endless Ocean is working flawlessly as well.
*Awesome* endless ocean screenshots

Tick disable fog in the plugin settings.g35twinturbo said:How did you get your SMB to should the hills in the background?
mine doesnt show it at all :lol
Apparently some folks over at the Dolphin forums have got Shattered Memories running with working audio on an older revision, and a hacked newer revision. Turning the flashlight off makes the game run full speed, but obviously that's not a great way to play the game.sfried said:Anybody tried Silent Hill: Shattered Memories with this yet?

wait, last I read, you had to use the OTHER one (forget the name, LLE?) because otherwise on pushing start you got a constantly scrolling hill background that never ended. has that been fixed?.:Wesker:. said:NSMBWii sounds fine with the HLE plugin.

I'm not sure what revision I was using, as I'm away from my computer for a few days, but I'd try downloading the latest.datamage said:Wesker,
Which revision of the emu are you using? I'd love to play Endless Ocean, but it doesn't work right on the build I have. (4525)
Anything special to get it to work? Or will a newer build do?
Thanks.
This is a pic I took a year ago.U K Narayan said:How does Twilight Princess look in this? The Gamecube version.
Nice! I'll have to try it out sometime. Does it emulate well? I kind of feel like playing the game again, but I don't want to go fishing under my bed to get the Gamecube out..:Wesker:. said:This is a pic I took several months ago.

As you can see, it also had curiously crisp HUD elements like NSMBWii.
Well considering Microsoft was selling 360's at a $200 price point for some time, and the 360 is capable of rendering current gen games at 720p (and a handful at 1080p) with AA... it might be possible.Sapiens said:Is it even possible for Nintendo to release a WiiHD at a 250ish price point that will even come close to replicating these emulator screen shots???
It looked and ran just fine a year ago, though it was a bit on the slow side compared to Wind Waker (for obvious reasons). It probably runs fullspeed by now.U K Narayan said:Nice! So I'm planning to build a new PC soon, basically like this:
Intel Core i5-750
ATI Radeon 5770
4 GB RAM
I wasn't planning on overclocking anything, so at stock speeds, how would this system do with Dolphin at 1080p? Would it be worth it to push my budget even further and get a better CPU or GPU or what?
Oh, and for GameCube games, does anyone make a good input-lag-free GameCube controller USB adapter?

.:Wesker:. said:GPU is fine, you might want to go with the i7 860, its only slightly more money and what you really want is a high clock-speed and 2.8 > 2.66. And as a bonus, you get hyperthreading and a higher starting point in case you decide to overclock later on.
I dunno if he uses any programs that make use of more than 4 threads, but I do and that's why I mentioned it.brain_stew said:Its not 2.66-2.8, its 3.2 - 3.46 for dual core apps like Dolphin. Is a ~7% performance increase really worth a 50% increase in price? Hyperthreading is only a consideration if you're using programs that will make use of it (i.e. application that make heavy use of 6+ threads), if you don't already know that you need it, chances are that you don't.
brain_stew said:Eh, I don't think it'd make much difference. An i5-750 is about as good as it gets at stock due to its aggressive turbo mode (its effectively a 3.2ghz processor for dual core apps like Dolphin), the pricier i7 920 for instance will not be nearly as good at running Dolphin at stock speeds. Paying an extra $100 for a .26ghz bump in clockspeed (from an i7-860) doesn't make much sense really.
If you need more CPU grunt then OCing is the only real option. Core 2s and Phenom iis are much slower clock for clock so they're not worth considering even if their stock clocks are higher.
That's an interesting series of shots as it allows us to compare the game to the higher resolution Silent Hill 3 shots. Not so great looking honestly.... it's probably all thanks to that low-res film grain.
You're awesome. Thank you very much!.:Wesker:. said:These are 1920x1200 and in PNG. You can choose your own resolution and compression methods after you download them.

kiruyama said:Could you explain that a little bit more? How do you know the 'actual' clock speed for dual core applications? And what does the 2.6/2.8 GHz number actually mean?
brain_stew said:http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=3634
The less cores you use, the faster the chip clocks. I was actually wrong before, the i7-860 only clocks upto 3.33ghz when using two cores, so there's no real advantage to it over a i5-750 for Dolphin or other dual core optimised applications. OCing is therefore the only real way to get anything noticabley faster than a stock i5-750 in Dolphin and PCSX2.
I'm pretty sure it's enabled by default.Metalmurphy said:I did not knew about this. Is this done automatically or is it something I have to set up in the bios?

Yeah, Wii version and NTSC. I didn't tweak any sound settings though, is there something I need to mess with?.:Wesker:. said:It's working for me, are you on the Wii version? NTSC?
