Wii U eshop Games

This is what I was talking about from Game and Wario:

Im still waiting for the WiiU eshop selection to be more like the 3ds eshop selection.

Little inferno and Whatever Aurora and Tori Tori 2 really dont look that appealing to me.

Little inferno is also on iOS and Android, and a lot cheaper right? I wont buy stuff from mobile to play on a big tv.

Project Sweat- hand drawn 2D arpg with a Wii U stretch goal. Looks pretty cool, has my interest.

Influences:

The game mainly draws influence from the following titles

Ninja Gaiden: Black & Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike (Combat system)
Suikoden 1-2 & Chrono Cross (RPG elements & customisability)

There are of course many other games from various other platforms and media such as 'Super Ghouls & Ghost' & 'Final Fight'. The art style is heavily influenced by Hyung Tae Kim, known for his works on 'Magna Carta' & 'Blade & Soul'.

What is Combat Like?

This is Not a game where you can mindlessly mash buttons to survive, the combat will be based on a high risk high reward formula. You will have 2 attack buttons; fast & strong. The enemies will charge at you from all directions and try to attack you from varying ranges in different styles & have resistance to specific attacks from certain angles; reactions really pay off to be the most effective killer. In a nutshell, the gameplay is what you will get if you were to put Ninja Gaiden: Black on a 2D plane.

Toki Tori 2 is already one of the best games of the year!

I just wish Nintendo tries to bring some eshop games to Japan. There are just 3 eshop games: Pokemon, Nano Assault, and Othello... 7 months after launch...

It is just the opposite of 3DS eshop situation.

My number one most desired feature of eShop:

Logging in with my NNID from a browser and purchasing games that auto-download to my Wuu or 3DS. Android has done this for years and it's about the most amazing thing on the planet.

For some weird reason NCL requires Japanese eShop games to be published by a Japanese company so they all have to either have an office in Japan or find a publisher who puts the game out in Japan. Other than dropping that requirement, Nintendo has nothing to do with "bringing the games over."

You can probably add Spy Party by Chris Hecker, Cider by Astrogun, Defender's Quest 2 by Lars Doucet and Telepath Tactics by Sinister Design to the list, though they're all unconfirmed right now.

IIRC, wasn't this supposed to be in the works?

I asked the guys behind Satellite Reign if they intend to create a Wii U version of the game.

So we might see this game on the Wii U.

Yea, it is pretty awesome. Would require the Wii U to stay connected to the internet even when it is off, though. Not sure if we can expect Nintendo do repeat the WiiConnect24 thing.

It still makes reading this thread very depressing. I don't ask for a lot, I just want Trine 2.

Thnanks for asking. I really want this game on wiiU.

I cant play anything on a computer. I work on a computer. At the end of the day i want the couch, not another computer.

You know, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw their kickstarter. I still wish Shadowrun Returns came to Wii U, even if it took a while longer. These types of games are perfect for Wii U. And especially since they both appeared on the SNES.

Little Inferno and Toki Tori 2 are 2 of my favorite games of the year so far. I actually got Inferno super cheap on a humble bundle for pc, but the constant mouse clicking makes my wrist sore, so I got the wii U version. Off tv play is great for this game. Lying in bed and starting fires with the stylus is mad fun. Plus I had $5 credit on eshop so I only paid $5. Even at $10, still would be worth it.

Didn't know that, but that's squareenix.

And that eShop game is whoeverismakingthateshopgame. Both have nothing to do with Nintendo but both would have to get cross-platform play sanctioned by Nintendo. Think of how there are almost no cross-platform games out unless it's between one specific console and PC and/or the platform holder has had hands in publishing the game (Skulls of the Shogun).

That's what I mean, square has the clout, and DQ is a huge franchise. Nintendo may not be so open to that idea presented by an indie dev, but I'm not sure if they've ever made a statement about cross platform online play.

Has anyone made a topic for this? Someone should. This seems like a very interesting game, and I'd love to play it on Wii U.

They have the standby mode on Wii U now (so as to download updates while "off"), so this should be feasible.

They don't really. What they have is a check for unfinished downloads after you shut down the system. It's not periodically checking for new stuff or is even "always on" like WC24. Though I keep wondering why they didn't do a "check every [custom interval]" setting.

No they haven't. I don't think anybody ever has made a general statement about that. Why would they.

Can't make threads as I am a junior, and this seemed like the best place to post.

Why is Nintendo so unwilling to localize the Mother series? I mean seriously, the fan translated english version of Mother 3 was downloaded 100,000 times the first week. That was a long time ago, and nostalgia has only grown. I realize that they are releasing Earthbound in the Wii eShop (not the first time they've said this then cancelled...) it just seems ridiculous considering these games WOULD sell.

WTF in what alternate reality did this happen?
