Wii U Games 2015

So excited for Kirby and Zelda. Canvas Curse is one of my favorite games ever and I've been dreaming about an open world 3D Zelda for forever. I'm stoked to see Star Fox, too!

Wow at that list of games. Seeing them together like that is pretty hype-inducing. WiiU is such an awesome little system.

I'm definitely getting Xenoblade Chronicles X, Starfox and Zelda. Those alone would make 2015 an amazing year for Nintendo. The fact that there are other 1st party games like Splatoon, Yoshi, etc. has me wonder just what the hell they'll have for 2016? I may also pick up Devil's Third, but it'll depend on seeing more of the game (and I may have to wait for a price drop).

New thread, new X hype .gif:

X, Star Fox, Zelda, Yoshi are all games I fully intend to buy, with Mario Maker I'll wait for reviews to see if the customizability is up to snuff. Splatoon is another maybe.

I've never gotten the love for Kirby. Epic Yarn, aside from its art, bored me to tears, as did Canvas Curse.

SMTxFE is definitely 2016, I'll eat my own shoes if it comes in 2015.

If Retro somehow puts out a new game this year, it's already bought, they've got that midas touch and whatnot.

I'll be grabbing:

Captain Toad
Splatoon
Yoshi
Kirby
Xenoblade
StarFox
Zelda
SMTxFE

Fantastic year for the Wii U :)

Zelda, Xenoblade and Yoshi are my most anticipated of that list.

I didn't play much of the Wii U this year so I'm still playing catch up.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Wind Waker HD, Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends, Pikmin 3 and Guacamelee are what I have to finish before Kirby and the Rainbow Curse in February.

I also still need to buy Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. 2015 looks like this for me:

- Kirby and The Rainbow Curse
- Yoshi's Woolly World
- Splatoon
- Mario Maker
- Xenoblade Chronicles X
- Star Fox Wii U
- The Legend of Zelda Wii U

Pair this with 3DS and PS4 releases in 2015 and I have no life and no money.

2015 shall effectively double my Wii U library.

...and I've got 10 games on it.

11, if you count Pikmin, from that free game promo.

I am likely going into Engineering next year. So, in September, right near when Xenoblade, Zelda, Star Fox, other unannounced games, and games for other systems release, is when school starts. I, too, will also have no life, and especially no money xD

I'm sure that someone has said this before, but the attach rate on this console has just got to be astronomical. I know I want almost all of those like yesterday.

Pretty much everything Nintendo has announced so far for 2015 is worth buying:

Kirby Rainbow Curse
Yoshi's Woolly World
Mario Maker
Splatoon
Devil's Third
Star Fox
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Zelda

Other games that I will be getting in 2015:

Fast Racing Neo
Project Cars
Reven

definitely the best line up, exclusive wise next year

good time to be a Wii U owner for sure. That rough first year is a distant memory away

I'm glad that we keep getting platformers, Kirby and Yoshi will be mine (specially kirby 3 days before my birthday). WiiU is such a good con sole for my tastes, too much colorful goodness <3

Sucks that they're all 2D though

Seriously 3D is the superior platformer and we get NONE these days ; ;

I think 2D is better for pure platformers (DK:TF was nuts imo). Most 3d platformers aren't that focused on jump 'n' run. but I agree some 3D platformers would be nice

For what it is worth, EAD Tokyo is making another 3D Mario game (most likely Mario Galaxy 3) , but we don't know what platform it is going to be for, and it probably won't be out in 2015, especially if it's a Wii U title. Also, the Nintendo SPD producer that works on Retro Studios projects as a producer, expressed interest in reviving DK Country 3D. Although, Retro is probably working on Metroid now before moving on to either DK Country 3D or something entirely different if the opportunity arises.

Shiet, the Wii U still looks like the most compelling console for me. Will definitely bite in the second half of 2015.

Fucking Woolly World man...

Well that's a given, I just wish there was more than one studio that could release a good 3D platformer in todays times. Getting one good game in a genre every 3-5 years doesn't really scratch the itch :P

Is it wrong of me to wish that the WiiU end up with a 20:1 tie ratio? :P So much good software from a desperate Nintendo.

Splatoon single-player is a psuedo-platformer.

Heck, Splatoon in general is part platformer.

my wii u is gonna get alot of love this year :)

Kirby and the rainbow curse
Splatoon
Yoshi's Wolly World
The Legend of Zelda Wii u
Mario Party 10
Mario maker
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Devils third
Star Fox Wii U

i wouldnt be surprised if nintendo still has some surprises left for this year hoping for another hd remake :)

I've decided the system isn't for me after playing it for about a hour today. I thought I would feel some of the Nintendo magic playing Mario 3D world and Mario Kart 8, but it's lost on me. If anyone is interested I'm selling everything I have with it in the B/S/T thread here http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=142893514&postcount=9682

You only played both once, and didn't play Smash or DK at all, why not give the system more of a chance? Still missing Bayo, Hyrule Warriors, Pikmin 3 and a long etc.

Lots of good stuff next year. I'm on the fence about Mario Maker, mainly because I'm not sure that title will be what I want it to be. I'd like the proper physics for each "entry," stuff that could be found in each title (secret exits and Yoshi for Super Mario World stages, the option to put in an Angry Sun in the SMB3 version), and stuff like that. We'll see if it delivers.

I'm hoping that the new Yoshi will be as good as the original Yoshi's Island. It really looks like it could be.

Also, the Europe date system threw me off. Lol.

Or with the huge push Fire Emblem is getting (the franchise is like 1/3 of the roster in Smash) and the scarcity of PoR/RD, I think an HD double pack would do pretty good numbers...

Good lord, we need this. This is the HD remake we really need, since that stuff is getting expensive.

PoR/RD HD would be amazing. More people need to be introduced to actual good (actually, the BEST) Fire Emblem titles :)

Nintendo has won me over this generation. The Wii U will be my first Nintendo console bought brand new and this will be the first gen I will have not bought a Sony console first.
I'm in the same boat here. All ways been a PlayStation gamer and only got the wiiu cause it was half price but Damn im not even sure I'll get a ps4 now, wiiu reminds me of the ps1/2 days just good ol multi fun.

Anyway brawl has been a great way to learn about some of these franchisees and so starfox is on the shopping list also still need to pick up tropical freeze and iv joined the masses in wanting a fzero and metroid game. I'm drooling for a fzero with Sony putting Wipeout to bed.

Let me get this straight. You bought ALL that stuff.. Didn't even open half of it.. played two of the games for an hour total... and have decided to get rid of all of it, just like that? What in the world?? Never seen it.

...

-_-

Not for me. The only 3D platformers I have liked have been the Mario games. 3D has potential but it makes everything a little more boring and tedious because of the increase of space. Conker's Bad Fur Day was great too but that game was awesome for other reasons.
