I dont understand anything but the picture...does that mean that you can send pictures to the wii via cell phone or pc? Hmm....I remember how they mentioned that you will be able to send mail via cell and email to animal crossing friends, be cool if you could attach gifts!'

Looks as if the Wii's themselves can communicate to each other as well!

the parallels with Apple are obvious, but this should get Apple thinking that they really need a Wiimote if they're to enter the living room.

Actually, I would love Apple to and Nintendo to work together so that the Wii can talk with my Mac.

Yes, well, they still have yet to show online games, AFAIK.

Dunno about the West... but I think Nintendo has Japan in the bag this gen, more then ever.

Europe in mid Dec? I can't imagine us coming before Japan. I'm surprised there's no leakage yet re. that ala the US launch.

The interface and avatar/photo software is fairly cool. Was hoping more would grab me on the game side though asides from what already has (mario/zelda/metroid). The Mario footage in that clip posted earlier is soo hot, as usual. Sort of mixed on all that, I was thinking they might show more new stuff. There's always the US meeting..

Price wise, it's just OK. They certainly couldn't have priced it any higher than $250.

edit - oh, and no irish weather = no sale!

Nope, that's a seperate project that Nintendo is cooking up, supposidely to go with Wii MotorSports.

If it was a tech demo, please notice how EVERY tech demo shown so far for the Wii has made it into an actual game.

Well, it's exactly the same as REmake. Unless maybe that's the point?

Oh and shove off about the interface. What, it's a surprise that people can whiz through screens using a laser pointer as a guide? The actual interface with all those channels is just stupid. Half the screen is unused unless you turn on VC, then you need far more than what's on the screen.

Ah I hadn't seen the GUI videos. Billion seller in Japan confirmed (as if it wasn't already) but, more importantly, it looks like Microsoft should be very very afraid of the Wii. Nintendo clearly means for it to be an always on living room PC of sorts.

ExciteTruck looks like quite possibly the most “fun” racing game in a long time. And what was that underwater game shown in the preview reel? That looked kick ass!

My god... what a fantastic little device. That interface is stellar... and, as somebody on SA pointed out, that photo editor is an awesome piece of work with it's heavy use of hardware acceleration.

Plus sign me up for Wii Sports, Fire Emblem, Zelda, DBZ with Wiimote moves of death, WarioWare, that Pilotwings-looking game, the list goes on... goddamn Nintendo, I am impressed.

I knew I was going to like it after the E3 info, but now I'm practically frothing at the mouth... c'mon Nintendo, GIMME GIMME GIMME!!

Okay, I'm as excited as the rest of you, but my number one concern is.. with all this photo + media stuff, if it requires you to stream content from a pc in your home, will they **** mac users like they did with the ds wifi dongle? Hopefully we'll find out more tomorrow.. I don't want my Wii functionality crimped because I don't wouldn't touch Window with a barge pole..

true but it aint over yet ;)

It seems that they are going for a real community feel to the thing. I hope the online lobbys all have those little avatars and you can walk around and chat before jumping in a game.
