Are you in the insider program? What ver. Are you on?
You have to be a member of Insider Preview. Edge add-ons were introduced in the fast ring a month or so ago.
Those keys are sometimes caught by Microsoft and deactivated. As long as you know the risk going in then it's up to you.Not strictly W10 per say, but how reliable is it to buy Office 2016 from reddit?
Probably very grey area, but huge savings here.
I'm not sure if I'm in the right place, but I'm looking for a Chromecast like device that I can use to cast the videos that I've bought from the Movies & TV app. I haven't seen a device yet that hasn't said it wasn't suitable for video streaming. Any suggestions? Is my best bet one of the stick computers?
Appreciate it!
I know it's not one of those important or top priority features, but will Microsoft ever do anything about the screen savers on Windows? It's like it hasn't been updated since XP; they are so boring. I'm looking at the screen saver features on my Apple TV and wishing Windows had something similar...particularly for still/wallpaper images.

I'm I hallucinating or did Windows 10 just uninstall or out right delete nearly everything in my Windows.old folder without my permission after the last update?
What GPU does it have?Is it possible to get good custom/generic video drivers?
I want Windows 10 but Dell doesn't support my laptop anymore and when I upgraded a few months ago the fan just kept running all the time and I think it's because the video driver wasn't very good.
It won't install after I updated to the new build.LastPass extension for Edge is out for today's insider build (14361).
It's happening!
I think the folder gets deleted after 30 days.
Windows.old contains an archive of the previous build you were on. In an ordinary upgrade scenario all your files are in the new OS anyway, but windows.old is there in case you ever want to roll back.
After 30 days, though, windows.old is deleted to free up disk space.
Or, if you manually run the Disk Cleanup Utility, it presents the option of removing "previous windows installations" which is the same thing.
So...that free year of McAffee. Do I dare?
Honestly as long as you're careful with the sites you visit and files you run the built-in Windows Defender is perfectly adequate, in my experience. I do also run free Malwarebytes once a month.
It's kinda hidden away but if you go to the Action Center it tells you which antivirus is active. It's also under Settings > Security.I didn't even know it had Windows Defender. I'm kind of new to Windows.
