Blablurn said:any news about a possible september 15th release for mango?
http://wmpoweruser.com/windows-phone-dev-podcast-mango-will-drop-next-week/We have heard on a number of occasions that the Windows Phone 7 Mango update will be pushed out in September, but it is widely expected to be towards the end of the month.
Now, on the WindowsPhoneDev Podcast the Lowermilk brothers claimed it may be even sooner than expected, saying:
The team have a pretty good track record, predicting correctly the developer beta of Windows Phone 7 Mango and also releasing the first screen shots of the new OS, so there is a good chance they are on to some thing.Next week is going to be a big week for Windows Phone. We have been told by various sources that Mango will be dropping and the final tools will be dropping for developers, so that would be interesting and something to look forward to.

I can't use the speaker at night and listen to music using headphones is useless on public transport. When coupled with the ridiculous 'low' brightness it speaks of shitty QA and makes me feel like I never want to buy another Samsung phone, amazing screen or otherwise.
The biggest issue, for me at least, is the loudspeaker. I can't sit in bed at night and play a game when others are around because it's just far too loud. I could honestly just use headphones, but I'm not a huge fan of them. It's also the same with the brightness - I can't use the phone in the dark because the lowest setting is too bright.Wilester said:I find that sometimes call volume is a tiny bit too quiet for my liking but nothing that actually affects my ability to hear the other side of the call. As for headphones volume I find that it can go up to a ridiculous level to the point I'm sure that everyone around me can hear it clearly.
Also, low brightness? I cannot comprehend this.

does this mean we won't be see phones till mango drop?Commodore said:Rumored to be hitting this week, this month, next month, this year. If we learned something last update, DON'T pin your hopes on a specific day and time. If it doesn't come by Dec 31st, get ticked off, but not until then.

Same here, all these things annoyed me. I thought that with MS tightly locking down WP7 we wouldn't have these problems. I won't be going with Sammy next time round. Titan or whatever high end Nokia device gets released. The 703 specs so far don't really do it for me, hopefully the 800 series is more impressive.Meus Renaissance said:I was bitching about this for weeks if you look back at the thread. Of course, in all likelihood mango will hit this month, but not to everyone, on every network. When it happens for you is unknown.Complex Shadow said:does this mean we won't be see phones till mango drop?

Its been a while (3 years, in fact!) since we last took a look at our mobile web interface but better late than never! Today, were upgrading the mobile website experience for a bunch of devices, including iPhone, Android (2.1+), and Windows Phone 7 , so you can always have your Dropbox on the go.
I see Focuses go for $150ish now on craigslist. That's how much a used iPhone 3G costs. Crazy how good of a value these phones are.VanMardigan said:My wife's Samsung Captivate is on her last legs and we needed a cheap replacement phone so I picked up an LG Quantum on Ebay. Yep. The problems NotTarts point out are not mega issues to me.DD-11 said:I've had one since launch and never had a problem. I love it.
I'm hoping Samsung will release an update for it when Mango drops, like they said they would. Somehow I doubt it, though. I mean, it's not a huge issue, but for me at least it's more important than something like the choice between AMOLED or S-LCD. It's just a basic usability issue that shouldn't exist in the first place.Meus Renaissance said:I was bitching about this for weeks if you look back at the thread. There is no solution. 3.7 inch screen, so a smaller version of the Omnia, maybe. Could be a new device altogether, though.Totakeke said:Hmm, Samsung Focus Flash doesn't have Super AMOLED+ it seems like, must be the Omnia 7 clone?
