Question about the Kindergarten show... in Japan, it's alright for teachers to marry and impregnate a student? Because I think that was the most disturbing part of the whole thing. :lol
and most importantly, in Japan, when you trip over a female, is the first you touch and then hold on, the breast?
and also, when a female trips and collide with you, is it natural to have her vagina cover your mouth?

because in Butler Vs Ladies, it happens all the time

It's subliminal messaging. Keep doing it for a few years/decades, and that's how people would act in Japan. :(
can someone confirm this?

guys this is the difference between me going and live in Japan and not doing so?

National age of consent is 13, though some prefectures may have local laws that raise it to as high as 18.

Yes, but the difference is that this wasn't really played for any irony.

"Oh hey bro, I'm pregnant and my teacher/husband is moving to the States to teach, so I'm going to drop out of highschool to keep the family together. See ya!"

Or, if that was meant to be funny, it went right over my head. :p

I'm not into 'moe shit' and i thoroughly enjoyed watching it.

K-On is decent fun. It's not a great show, but it's decent and worth watching once.

I second the One Outs love- one of my few good points of last year.

Remember reading somewhere that in japan if the girl is at least 16 and the guy is older than 18 they can get married. About keep he's job though not so sure about that...

Without any irony, Chu-Bra is interesting. If two episodes are any indication, it really is a show about female body issues and social pressures.
Of course, you have to get past the creepy creepiness of watching middle school students in fanservice poses, but I have to give this show credit for at least trying to broach issues that people have trouble dealing with in real life let alone in cartoon form. :lol

Of course, Duradura is the season default... this year's Trapeze, I suppose!

Well, doing a little research (ie, Wikipedia), the manga appears in a shoujo magazine targeted at men... so, I don't even know man.

Sora no Woto ep 2.

I'm really liking it so far animation quality is till high. They do some more moeblob things but they delve into the backstory and it seems really interesting. They explain why 5 girls are left to defend a fort. I'm really interested in finding out more. The foreshadowing is a little heavy handed. You know what I mean if you saw the opening. i hope they go through with the obvious conclusion.

The background bits were intriguing - specifically the book they picked up. For some reason, this French literate population has built itself upon a formally Japanese literate country. If there's a balance between the "aww, let's bond as girls" moments and the mythology, this might turn out as a nice redux of Aria.

soranowoto 2: didn't like the blantant/token tsundere and super optimistic kanata, feels strange because the light hearted character types contrast with the background/setting.
Did anyone else notice the
ghosts
?

Durarara was...boring :U

I guess anime like this isn't for me. I remember everybody going nuts about Bakamonogatari and I found that disappoint as well. I barely trudged through the first episode.

Great art however.

Boring? I thought it was a great first ep to make the viewer curious while also introducing characters. If it's anything like Baccano, it'll be the best show this season and it won't be close...

3rd season of Nodame Cantabile starts up within a week. Great show, but you probably should watch the previous 2 seasons first.

Kampfer fits the bill of ecchi not romance (some argue ecchi imples not good), Cross Game is more a shounen sports anime than romance as sometimes it gets put in the background and even then it drags.

Another recommendation from last year, Toradora. Just looking at pictures, the show doesn't appear to be anything new (and admittedly the main character is a pretty standard loli/tsundre character at first) but after the first two episodes it's obvious the show is going to be different. Unlike most romantic comedy/drama shows this one actually goes somewhere, and relies on very strong character development and character interaction between the main cast (2 guys, 3 girls). It also paces really well throughout the entire season to a very good conclusion. It's more like Kare Kano than the standard fanservice romantic comedy stuff that's been tossed out the past few years.

Basic plot.

Ryuji is a tall, quite menacing looking person. He's actually a nice guy and isn't fond of his appearance because it gives people the wrong idea. Taiga is a short girl with a vicious personality, feared by most the school. Through a few events they learn that both have a crush on the others best friend. They pledge to work together to help each other in pursuing their relationship

Sora ep.2 was better than the first one, it was continuing to lay on the setting/atmosphere thick like the first episode, i rolled my eyes when she said about them bathing together but thankfully i didn't have to watch that
I continue to watch optimistically

I watched toradora this past december. I liked it. though I wish it was a bit longer. But is there any other anime that comes close to Toradora??

I took Nodame Cantabile into consideration, and I am already in ep. 7. It's a grower, :D

So it's NOT just a formulaic Kugidere (Rie Kugimiya + Tsundere) Romance Comedy? I might give it another try if it is indeed more serious than I thought it would be. I think I gave it like two episodes until I decided it wasn't worth my time because it seemed like it was going to be a show about wacky hijinks between the cast trying to get each other's affections. :lol

So prove me wrong and tell me it's not like that at all. I do enjoy romances every now and then, but I find it really difficult to jump into them these days because of all the generic stuff out there. Not trying to be negative or anything.

I would put Nodame as the best Romance show in a long time, nothing comes close. However, if you want to have some more fun with Nodame, check out the Live action drama (11 episodes +2 specials +2 movies that aren't out yet). It's very good, just as good as the anime.

I wont say the end result isn't totally unpredictable but it takes some good routes to get there and all of the main 5 characters see some pretty significant developments. The end result will probably be a bit predictable but other things wont be.

WATCH IT.

IT'S SO GOOD.

(Except it gets a bit rushed toward then end because they tried to fit 70% of the light novel series into the second half.)

Considering the amount of characters in the show, the fact that this is a 24 episodes show and how I can definitely see the story building up to something, I'd wait a couple of episodes before giving a final verdict based just on an introductory episode.

<Toradora OP> It's pretty good.. Even though I consider myself a kugidere fan, Ami is the best. Nodame Cantible was too slow for me and it seems to immerse itself more into the music than the romance. Bokura ga Ita is probably one of my favorite romances.

It's entertaining for sure (my GF loved it), but it's definetely Rie Kugimiya being a hardcore tsundere-loli, half her mannerisms are ripped straight from Louise and Shana, at least in the first few episodes.

It does actually have a definitive ending, which is very nice. It's a hard series to not like.

Add another voice in favor of Toradora.
Initially I thought it was the usual tsundere and annoying anime, but a couple of episodes in and I simply fell in love with it.
The tsundere moments are there, but it is more than that overall, with a nice cast of characters, interesting situations and a good story progression.

Just watched the first episode of Qwaser, and... it was bad.
Not for the breast milk, not for the fanservice.... it was just badly directed, especially when zooming on people's faces, when showing people's expression. The action scenes weren't exciting, etc.
I'm thinking I'll be giving the manga a shot and drop the anime, maybe.
