Transformers: The Movie

Been wanting to revisit this to see what stuff was overanimated and check out the art in general. Wasn't as much as I thought given a lot of spartan background art and the characters not being as well animated at times as I thought they might be. I mean it's still well above TV standards but it's not some clinic on character animation.

There were some highlights though:

It brings a tear to my eye.

Dang, it's almost 30 years old now? The feeling of aging.

Also, check out the S2 episode Call of the Primitives. It is the only legit well-animated episode of G1.

The Pilot's Love Song - 4

Oh c'mon, your sister is crying because you could've been dead and you bow to her? Maybe it's just cultural differences or something, but that seemed really strange and impersonal considering how close they are otherwise.

Otherwise, it was a cute episode for Claire and Kal-el's relationship. I also like how they mentioned how concerned Ariel was (especially straight to Kal-el because how can you not realize that your sister of maybe 7 years would be worried about you? :V) and the flashback was nice, although I wonder if they'll ever mention how she came to accept Kal-el.

Lol at the plot twist. It doesn't bother me too much though. The way the show presents these twists and the way it transition into flashbacks is kinda awkward, but if this is the story they want to tell I don't mind rolling with it. I like these kinds of stories anyway, so the twist did its job in keeping me interested. Both Ariel and Claire are really cute by the way. :D

I dunno, but I've been on board that train since FMP.

What? Leonard isn't even that great. Unless we're talking Kalinin, who is unnaturally attractive for a man of his age.

I don't even remember it. All I really remember of that series is the Princess two parter.

I actually don't remember any Princess Two Parter in Full Metal Panic at all?

Pretty much every Fumoffu episode is Best Episode Ever material. This particular one..is close to the Best Ever Ever.

It's definitely one of the best gags in the entire run.

Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu!! 11

The Social Studies episode. This one's another one of those ones that has a sweet moment between Kaname and Sousuke at the end, in which, for the first time Sousuke compliments Kaname on the way she looks. It isn't the first time he's taken an interest in her physically (since way back in the first episode he gets flustered by her leg being between his) nor emotionally (since he first starts getting serious about that during the Submarine Arc), nor even the first time he's mentioned aloud that he thinks she's attractive (sort of, he says she has an "ideal physique" when she's visiting Hyuga earlier on in this series) but it is the first time he's actually complimented her on the way she looks, and the first time he's taken a real, serious interest in her. That she's managed to disguise herself as an older woman by donning her mother's kimono certainly helps.

The rest of the episode is Sousuke failing to flirt, and panicking when Kaname tells him that flirting means acting like Kurz.

Has there been any anime besides Gintama that talks to the audience/breaks the fourth wall and acknowledges they're a show? I've always liked that and Gintama does it all the time. Like when they did the Star Wars/Gundam arc

"You can't call them Gundam or we're gonna get sued!"

"It's animated by the same studio, the lawsuit will go nowhere"

Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku loves this trope.

(And Tesagure, but nobody watches that except me)

Nyarko thrives on it, and the first (my favorite) season of Hayate no Gotoku! turned it into an art form. Pani Poni Dash! has quite a few moments of it, too, including the recurring, unspoken gag that the entire thing is being filmed on a soundstage. And on that note, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, all of it.

I watch it! I just need to be in here to comment on it more.

Toriko Episode 139 – The End is Here! Sunny's Final Power!

Weak action though the emergence of
NEO was shocking, I dont even know how this third group can even fit in
.

I need the Mega Raba single.

"A friend of Megumi's from her year. In the same class. A 'soothing type' (iyashi-kei) who calms her surroundings with a soft and fluffy atmosphere. Has a slightly chubby figure."

Oh wow.

Yayoi is still the best yellow Cure, but Yuuko looks like a strong contender.

Itsuki in my book. The girl is a beast.

Nobunagun 4
I see the anime is trying to ship her with Ripper. I strongly disagree with that pairing. I like it when she goes into Nobunagun mode.

Looks like this may be my signal to drop this if true.

The last two animes I watched (Tatami Galaxy and Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou which I just finished today) do that. Probably already saw them, but they're really great animes nevertheless.

Sgt. Keroro does it all the time. The characters often talk to the narrator and he's even a visible character in the show.

Mmm, I don't think episode 4 of Space Dandy was really that amazing. I guess I'm not really a fan of zombies. It was entertaining enough though. The next episode looks like something I'd really be interested in judging by the previews and what Duckroll posted about the staff. I'm excited for it!

D-Frag! 4

I was entertained by this episode. Truly the Porno Smuggling Space Adventure Game is too powerful a weapon for humanity to handle.

Also I want to play it.

The dub versions of Duel Masters talked/poked fun of how serious card games were.

Remembered loving it as a kid.

Samurai Pizza Cats I guess? Every other line in that show is a fourth wall joke IIRC.

This two episode mini event had the potential to be really amazing but the source material writer, why. I hope it redeems itself next episode
Teshima and Aoyagi deserve to win, their perfect teamwork, long hours practicing and getting better, I could totally understand where they were coming from and was cheering Teshima on so much, Aoyagi too (and in one scene we could see both his eyes even). Teshima really is third or so best character and they display the best interaction since Imaizumi and Naruko. That 40second climb was intense regardless the outcome, the moment with Teshima clinging to his chest asking his body to hold on was really amazing, and then pushing through to last the forty seconds, I guess that was his bit of improvement too on the team since well it didnt seem as if Naruko or even Imaizumi could do it too. I hope Teshima and Aoyagi wont be barred from the Inter high

The one where the gang kidnaps Kaname is the first episode. It's not bad, but the Ghost hospital is my favorite. The two funniest episodes are undoubtedly the Rugby and Hotsprings episodes, though.

It was the first? Damn I swear it was after that. Well it was still my favorite lol.
there was another with a bomb in the cafeteria food or so Sousuke thought.

That's not ITSUKI

I mean yayoi is great but ..Look at all this yellow !!

but...but...CUTE

If you want to save KyoAni send them a really really good LN for their competition. I mean you've seen the standards of the stories that get chosen for animation so it can't be that hard to best them. Add a bit of pandering of course, they need merchandise money!

brb, finishing up my AnimeGAF LN.

Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda - 03

They literally made an episode of a war against smoking. This show. :lol

I love how a girl in nothing but a lab coat and underwear is passable attire for outdoor activities.

The biohazard one is probably the best.

"I can accept anything but I can't accept this".

The moment Sousuke mentions he has a vaccine is when everything gets hilarious.

I meant Goddess. According to guides, episodes 8-9.

Oh, yeah, okay, that makes sense. Kaname's codename is Angel, and Tessa's is Goddess. That's the arc when Tessa comes to visit and Sousuke has a nervous breakdown. The Hotsprings episode is the second half of that arc.

It was the first? Damn I swear it was after that. Well it was still my favorite lol.

There's one where Sousuke boobytraps the cafeteria food, but, haha, that's also the first episode.

So far my relationship with Space Dandy is that it's enjoyable enough but it isn't the savior of anime. Just really pretty to look at and might get chuckles from me.

I think I had misplaced expectations. I expected it to be more like Mushishi in that it would be about the stories of different types of people Dandy encountered, except with a more lackadaisical and comedic tone. Instead, it's more like comedy sketches. They're still entertaining, but I don't feel as attached to the stories being told. All in all, I can see what others see in the show, and I think I'll probably enjoy it more once I warm up to it.

Also there aren't enough cute girls. :<

Seitokai Yakuindomo S2 4
Fairly funny. The Oumi scenes were a bid funny and the squid joke was pretty funny with Aria's reaction. Poor Suzu getting hit repeatedly with height jokes by almost everybody

The way they've been portraying him up to that point didn't strike me as a guy who was into art.

It made sense when you knew who he truly was, seeing as he treated a lot of things with a similar reverence. He simply lamented what his world no longer possessed.

Yamato 2199 16
I always knew that whiley ass lookin' motherfucker was up to no good, just a shama Shima went for a hand shot instead of something a bit further up. :(

WORST. COUP. EVER!

how Makoto-like is she? thats the benchmark.
Very makoto-like

I found out what this is. Preorders start next week. I might buy two.
Don't start ..

Kancolle is huge, once you start seeing the characters you can't go back , the whole comiket was shallowwed by kancolle and nobody was trully able to resist.
If you start buying figurines you're doomed .. not even a question of "where is my wallet money " but "why don't i have a wallet anymore ?"
