I do wish we got packaging this nice for U.S. releases more often... but I guess we get what the majority of consumers are willing to pay for, which sadly isn't much.
Youre making me feel bad for not getting back to FMP yet Corvy.
although I did go back to work and its been busy as hell and Ive been exhausted. Guess Ill use that flimsy excuse.

Man, those friends continue to be shitty people. They want Duck to actually feel like shit. You'd think Duck would do something about it (granted not in the case, but) in the next episode, but they're not important.
I asked a mod before starting, I think Dresden said scans clutter the thread after the whole scan dick waving posting started so I'll refrain spamming Megami & Nyantype unless something really catches my fancy (besides, most know where they come from now).
Images from Animedia, Pash! and other similar mags are still fairly rare and sporadic so I like to post some of them, if anything they at least show some series cater to other than a strictly male audience. I wish Newtype was more regular as well since they tend to have most of the "cool" series. Speaking of scans, I wonder if DTL saw these, unless I already spammed them. .

I caught up with this show so I could bring it home live, and although I'm glad I did, this was a bizarre episode. I guess I can't say much more until I know where they're going with it, but as it stands several scenes felt out of character. It's either an interesting concept that was too contrived in its execution, or they're going somewhere weirder with it. Given the history of the show, I'm not comfortable assuming which it is.
I really can't fathom how somebody could write an episode like this. It's one of the most lazy and pointless things I've ever watched. A flimsy excuse for an unearned emotional dump at the end. Nibutani's initial attitude of dismissal was far more interesting than her eventual acquiescence to stupidity, and almost seemed like growth. Instead they had to use the fantasy world crutch to avoid writing an actual resolution, and continue the show's validation of the delusional, rather than challenging them. Whenever it seems like they're going to put their characters in a tough situation, psychologically, they lose their nerve almost immediately. This show needs more humour or entertainment to justify how stupid it is and work with it, not some random word generator dialogue and an itano circus followed by a sappy rant.
I dislike being this negative and tried to come up with something I liked about this episode, but I've got nothing, so instead it reads like a broadcast of my masochism.
Much, much better episode then the last few weeks. Let's see if they can continue with making great episodes or if they revert back to the weeks prior.

Well they're not exactly as limited as she is. They can speak, and as far as I'm aware, they don't have to worry about turning into fairy dust for admitting they want to fuck someone.
Nevermind her shitty friends harrassing her for being a duck.

I get the angst over the whole "say you love him and you die" bit, but just being a duck doesn't seem terrible considering the animal people all over town. Although I suppose there is some difference between them. Then again, Ms. Goatette only ever bleated.

Right, I get that it's all symbolic and meaningful and what not. But like, the whole duck-angst is just kinda reduced in value cuz of the whimsical animal folk.
Great Mazinger 9
Taking a page from Getter Robo's playbook, Great Mazinger has an episode about a sympathetic young lady forced to fight for the Mycenae. She meets a terrible end. If I didn't know any better I might suggest that early Super Robot writers were trying to get across a view about what contemporary Japan and/or Western civilization was doing to young women.
For fuck's sake everything is made up as they go along and the things people say in this show make no fucking sense at all.
"Why can't my machine fly yet?"
"It doesn't know how."
YOU JUST TOLD ME THAT THESE MACHINES CAN FLY BECAUSE OF A MAGNET IN SPACE. YOU BUILT THIS MACHINE. WHY THE FUCK CAN'T IT FLY?
And then the weird rape nonsense.
God this show is just so bad.
And I literally cannot think of a single anime that has worse character designs than this one. Every. Single. Character. Is absolutely awful in design.
"Eternal happiness isn't a thing, dumbass."
"HEARNOEVILSEENOEVILSPEAKNOEVIL"
"Is your friend I've never seen one with a stupid kind of outfit on?"
"How did you know that?"
"He's gifted and that is ALL THE EXPLANATION YOU GET."
Ah ah ah my sides you haven't seen the worst/best yet but at least you're now close to the end of this suffering since you're almost done with the first part ..
Second part of melody of oblivion is an entire different beast.

Cajun , it's
not cool to give him hints for later lol
You're not far from the truth but you're missing something
RIP Yuka, you seemed to be a pretty cool cat and you were hot too
Second Half: What's that sound I hear? Are the gears in Saya's head FINALLY starting to turn? She's using logic and deductive reasoning? What sorcery is this
Blood C 10
First Half:
Goodbye Tall, Dark & Handsome. You made no contribution to the plot whatsoever and you won't be missed .
Last 3 minutes: I'm both surprised and not surprised at all
Blood C 11
LOL IT WAS ALL A FUCKING PLAY! 20 minutes of exposition and the rest of the cast just taking a dump on Saya LOL. I mean it was obvious from like episode 1 that this whole town and the people were fake, that the cafe guy and her dad were the real bad guys, etc. but I'll admit I thought the characters that died were actually dead. I do wish there was a less forced way for all this info, most of which could be surmised from the repetitious nature of the other episodes, to be explained though.
Blood C 12
BADASS SAYA THE GOD IS BACK
Tall & Dark + the Twins get their just deserts
All the work to
keep Kanako alive and she gets killed anyway
HOLY SHIT this Saya vs.
her "Dad"
fight is HYPE
The Class Rep's last minute change of heart had to the LEAST convincing one I've ever seen in fiction. Did they have to write him out that badly before the movie? Was his VA throwing a fit or something or pissed of the animators/writers?
HOLY SHIT this escape sequence is
basically murder porn
GOTDAMN
shot in the FACE
Oh hey look the dog is back. I don't feel this was well explained at all. Are we just assumed to be familiar with the
magic wish granting dog and his "shop"
from background info from the Blood franchise or something?
Not going to lie, the
end run with Saya towards the city
left me pretty hype

So was I supposed to be like made furious or dumbstruck by this show? I feel the sanctity of my anus has been preserved. I the vast majority of these twists I could see a MILE away. My major criticisms are that the show likes to hammer home the same points/themes over and over again but even from episode 1 you could pretty much predict almost every plot point. This "arc" so to speak didn't need to take 12 episodes especially since in the end it was pretty much all prologue. The only surprise was the exact nature of the ruse and that
EVERYBODY was in on it, not just the main cast
. We also spent way too long with derpy moe Saya and not enough with super sweet badass Saya. I feel a decent amount of background was glossed over and I can only assume it was since Blood is a well established franchise the audience is supposed to already know about Saya's origins, etc. but I would have appreciated it if they touched upon it. Also I understand the violence was in theme and appropriate for the show but there were definitely a few times the show crossed the line into murder porn :/ Like I can't say the show was great but it wasn't horrible either. I'd be lying if I said the ending didn't leave me pretty hype and wanting to check out the movie. That at least should be badass Saya 100% of the time. Time for
"Cafe Guy" and Yuka
to get their comeuppances!
Sidenote: Why is the full version of the OP sung in like three different languages at the same time?

You psychic? It just popped up.1 & 2, I assume it wasn't debinded, hence the pages don't match.
More from nat's tumblr, I'm honestly unsure how I feel about the new Fairy Tail designs, I think I preferred the old ones, I think Lucy is the one that bugs me the most.
Just gonna answer this one . the thing with the dog is a
clamp thing it's a very obvious reference to xxholic ( another clamp serie ) they tied Blood C to the clamp multiverse ( where anything can happen ) with this

Looks like the shoe is dropping at this point, based on hunches and whatnot. Kaede is clearly the most observant person of the group, even picking up that Mitsuki is fixated on Haruka.
Things will either go pretty roughly, or not too bad once everything is said and done.

Yeah, they do give you plenty of warning about where they're going if you're a little bit attentive, but I didn't believe just how far they'd take it until it happened. Somehow everything is a contributor to the twist.
The movie is pretty disappointing, even if it looks slick sometimes.
No that shit was fucked up and basically murder porn, I called it out as such. I dunno, maybe I expected worse given the "anti-hype"? Maybe the violence in the rest of the series partially desensitized me? The movie is going to have more of that stuff isn't it

The movie doesn't have that stuff, that's why it's so disappointing. CLAMP expresses their hatred of humanity in a much more pointed and less exciting way.

I learned in school this week that when you go through terrible situations your brain tends to just block them out.
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam 9
Something went horribly awry during Gundam.Info's official sub-job. Kamille exclaims "I'm just an autistic kid!" I'm confident that 1) Kamille is not autistic, 2)The line must have been translated wrong and 3)Tomino would never intentionally write about characters suffering from mental illnesses that did not involve women needing the dick.

Nah, the murder porn is part of the fun of the TV series. It's one element of the grand joke, so over-the-top that you can't quite take it seriously.
Blood-C: The Last Dark takes itself very seriously, but the new characters involved in it are a total waste of time, and the plot doesn't lead anywhere exciting. Not only that, they somehow find a way to make the ultimate catharsis pretty unsatisfying, ruining the whole point.
There are two or three pretty good action sequences and a lot of boring stuff.
I'll do so and sorry, but there are plenty of parents all throughout Clannad and AS, you know the specifics of what I mean because you've already seen it. I didn't mention names and gave vague quotes. That's like standard practice for non-spoiler bar discussions. I've been spoiled by people posting KLK images here so let's not hold double standards as to what counts and what doesn't
