Can't agree with that since I actually see Kyoma finally go through his character arc and he actually completes it in final episode during the Easter Island arc as well as we learn what actually motivates him. You can disagree if you wish but it is there.
Thank you Mira is the signal that his current arc is complete and he has grown as a character for example.
He got through his arc because the plot necessitated it. It was good, organic character development. Everyone else got even less work and was just there for ornamentation.
The only thing that literally makes everything possible no questions asked was Genesis, and I consider that as a one-of-a-kind super rare legendary one-time-only-use final boss item and I see it seperate from the rest of Dimension Ws working. That's the overpowered endgame thing.
The 'normal science' certainly didn't make everything possible. I mean yeah, the numbers can do some crazy shit, but it's still within certain boundaries and they don't suddenly do whatever the fuck they want without having to justify and explain anything.

But then again I liked seeing what crazyness the show could throw at me and wrapping my head around it within its convoluted ruleset.
There was nothing to wrap one's head around. It wasn't a difficult show. It was empty and baseless.

You can't separate a piece of the show just because it's convenient to you. Sure, the show did that with everything as it was convenient for the awful plot, but that's not what I'm going to do.

The fact that Genesis exists simply as a panacea for possibility means there aren't rules that govern Anything. Since Genesis was possible, anything is possible.

And even without Genesis, the long-dead Doctor was still able to comeback in Dimension W. form to give a completely physical coil to Mira.

Absolute nonsense.

Osomatsu-san Episode 9

Wha..what?

I wasn't expecting anything like that at all. Here, this show has been a gag and skit comedy episode after episode before we hit this emotional bomb. Like damn, I didn't see that kind of story at all and sure as hell didn't see that ending coming. I actually teared up a bit at parts. Apparently if you look into the episode more you can also find out clues as to why
the girl was suicidal, possibly because of her being a porn star
. The amount of subtleties alone in this episode make it great and combined with the direction it is easily my favorite in the series so far and really elevates the show for me.

Trinity 7 ep.6-7
Seriously, Arata is such an unabashed perv, but it is an awesome change that he doesn't turn red and get all embarrassed about it, lol. Oh well, the plotline is moving along nicely, so hopefully, we get sone nice battles coming up.

From the New World 4

This seems like the sort of thing that works better in novel format than television. Or at least, if you're going to have a huge infodump about this fictional world's history, you need to make it a little more visually interesting.

At any rate, the show has some good atmosphere but has been too inconsistent to sustain it, which makes continued investment difficult.

Grimgar ep 12 END
For a finale this is kinda disappointing with the animation mistakes like ranta's helmet,Mary's boot color change and a piss poor confrontation between Haru and deathspots. That black green part is definitely still keyframes with no animation, it's either they decided this way due to no more budget or the frames didn't make it in time.

The Good :
A compelling show which started out slow and weak for the first 2 episodes but kick into high gear at the second half. A really strong focus on the characters and their growth in character and abilities, less on the elements of the world and mechanics. Nice art and design.

The Bad :
Being 1 cour definitely hurts since they cut out alot of content and character thoughts. The wrong priority on content chosen, why are they wasting animating those long R&R montages with insert songs when they could have use it to animating the cut content to help dispel some questions generated because of the content being cut such as how the group came together or how Ranta managed to escape kobolds. Oh and shameless fanservice pandering with Yume and the girls despite how bootylicious Yume it was.

The Ugly :
Definitely TOHO's meddling which forced down our throats the promotion of the band (K)NOW_NAME. Their insert songs during the fight or the R&R montages which I'm definitely sure thats the reason why content is cut to make way for this promotion.

Like the others I do hope for a season 2 but average BD/DVD sales and despite the boost to the LN sales but it wasn't a huge boost when compared to konosuba which did gangbusters makes season 2 to be a less likely to be announced.
Oh and the OP song is dope. Dat violin intro gets me pumped up.

Dimension W - 12 [END]

The episode so of lost me
when Kyoma was going all philosophical with Haruka
but I guess I enjoyed the conclusion enough. I'd be down for a second season of Kyoma and Mira fighting crime but
Loser being dead is a bummer :(

Overall a show that danced around being a good watch one week and then coming to a halt next, but the final arc did enough to make me enjoy it and the development of Kyoma's and Mira's relationship.

Grimgar - 12 [END]

I never thought that by the end of the season Grimgar would be my favourite and that Erased would be pushed down to third (Below Assassination Classroom) but it is what it is. I've enjoyed watching this group start off as complete waste of spaces to a capable fighting unit and that's what really appealed to me with this.

That being said, there were a few issues with this episode. Other than Ranta's magical helmet, I felt the animation quality dipped from the last episode, Haruhiro's
fight with the Deathspots had him overpowered which goes against what the show has been showing
but other than that, I enjoyed everything else. Ranta's vice was great and how Haru development as a leader was great to see in the end. Also found it sweet how
Haru commented he was in heaven to Mary.

I'd love a second season but I'm not holding my breath, if I was into LN I'd definitely give this a read but that's not my thing.

Okay they know their fans, we get a MaeIso cover afterall for this season, and it even has Maehara on Isogai. Thank you Assassination Classroom.

Koyomimono #6-9
Karen keeps being lewd but sort of boring for me, since she's like a worse Kanbaru at best (mostly character-wise, but then there's also the fact that one's voiced by Sawashiro and the other one isn't). Meanwhile, Tsukihi has Platinum Disco as her character song, so I'd say she wins.

Ougi's episode was interesting, since his/her/its character works really well as an entity that creates uncomfortable situations that aren't comedic in nature unlike with most of the cast.

Finally, Shinobu's episode was weird at first, but warm and fuzzy by the end. Of course Koyomi's blindfold had to be made from the pantyhose Shinobu had just been wearing, but I can overlook that.

Man, this series is so... different. I mean, I knew it would have some drama, but this is out there with how many different angles they are taking to get it. It looks like the Shin's harem is down (not a harem, I know) to just a love triangle now
I mean, he got a big wet kiss from his childhood friend, who is also his besties girlfriend, but turned her down cold, ice cold (but he liked the kiss, of course)
Then, the eccentric girl Nao,
became his girlfriend, but he still likes the live-in girl that is actually not his sister, because his mother is a fucked up bitch
so many happenings here.

I understand how you feel. That skit ended up making me go from just liking the series, to loving it.

I wonder if you'll like this one's ending as much as you did Utawarerumono's.

Thought that Haikyuu's soundtrack sounded similar to Gundam Build Fighters and what do you know, its by the same dude.

I think I'm gonna start following composers too. Before I only really knew Yuki Kajiura but now I'm starting to follow others.

I don't even know what to think about it yet. It's either really good or complete shit, sounds like the later from what Basil is saying.

Nah, that wasn't my implication. Just that it's a bittersweet ending.

Yeah, still pissed at that stupid Utawarerumono ending. I mean, I get it, I really do, but it was dumb and shitty way to end it.

Haku x Kouen 4 life!

Anyhow, I think they writer's over there really hate straight forward happy endings and just try o compete to see who can come up with the most ambiguous bittersweet endings possible. There has to be at least one good romcom/ romance out there with good relationship development and a happy ending. I need more Ore Monogatari dammit.

Is it season rankings time?

Now I'm thinking about this too much and I'm getting pissed he's not gonna get with the live-in girl he's always wanted break Nao's heart or something. I'm just gonna watch more Trinity 7 or some other shitty harem, at least they can be fun.
