At least Shingeki had atmosphere and tone. Most of humanity is wiped out but it seems like business as usual in Japan.
Shingeki failed at atmosphere and tone. I laughed through most of the first episode because it came off as comedy and parody thanks to Araki.

The way Sunohara is treated throughout the show is one of the worst things about Clannad. Mainguy is a jackass.

False, it's his own fault for making it so damn easy to troll him.

Seriously it's like an open invitation with some of the stuff he tries to pull!

Soul eater NOt - 01
I liked it ..it's NOTHING like soul eater but it's not that bad Main heroine wanted a Love triangle and she gooooooot what she wished for ..It seems i must tell SDBurton to check this one out.

So the heroines :

1) No-memory-chan is not that bad ..she wasnot that funny but you can feel a certain potential ..Midly intrested

2) Generic japan highschooler and harem lead in training is quite alright ...
Her discovery of the school was intresting so where her reactions ..i also liked that she actually took initiative without someone needed to tell her to. Very intrested

3) Oujou-sama is actually the strongest presence of the 3 in this episode for many reasons. She actually realise right away that her original plan is a failure but she stay here. Furthermore i liked the fact that she helped both girl to get of this mess. She showed capabilities and that's a big plus. The tsundere attitude is just a bonus.

Sdburton , you might need to check this one
This anime is followed
I can now watch the last 2 ep of sakura trick since i will have my "fix" with soul eater not.

Welp, time to go check this out. Good looking out!

Huh? What did I say? Did I screw up again? :(
When I watched Grave of the Fireflies, I thought to myself, "This was supposed to make me sad, but it's just making me angry".

So yeah, the priming effect is a trap.

Well to be fair, the sadness should have been what your anger was borne out of and then you would have developed super powers. You missed out since you went straight to anger.

I rather liked the call back to the Side B series. It was cool to see it from the other side.

Color me surprised they actually moved the plot forward in this last episode.

No, I was angry at Seita for being such a little shit. I didn't care for the girl at all.

Pretty much this:
Movie working as originally intended!

All fun and games until MASH reruns came on. As a kid I knew it was time to go to bed.
I grew up on MASH reruns. I must have watched the series 10 times over. lol

Man, imagine if I had that time to apply to the backlog. I wonder what kids even do today, now that they essentially have infinite choices and aren't bound by what's on the TV.

I randomly found this page for Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo on MAL and now I'm wondering why they even made it... seems like a troll given that mangas that get turned into jdrama never move over to the anime ghetto. :(

The one non-loli on the show. Of course she talks sense.

Side-A you mean!

And funny enough, this is still the half-way point of the Side-A story. I don't think we'll ever see the final. lol

This is actually true. Takahata wanted the audience to be critical of Seita.

Right, there's an interview somewhere with Takahata and the original author of the text. The original author hated overly sad, anti-war stories and wrote his story so that the audience would be critical of the actions of the characters. Takahata carried this vision into the film itself.

Hozuki's Happy Picture Play - Episode 11

Godadmn, Shiro babysitting the little puppies is the bestest. Too bad he's so stupid he can't read! Pretty hilarious stuff in this episode, and there's Enma bullying even when he's not even in the episode itself! Hozuki is soooo mean.

And then Takahata was surprised when so many of the audience sympathized with Seita.

There was also the semi-autobiographical element to it where Nosaka, the author of the novel, attempts to atone for his own failing as an older brother during the war. It's supposed to be penance and catharsis, not tearjerking.

Youll have to settle for Maoyuu Maou Yuusha. Not a terrible consolation prize but not the same caliber. Demon king is a cutie anyway.

If that's what I have to settle, no thanks. The relationship in Spice And Wolf was great, the banter and evolution of their feelings for each other was absolutely brilliant.

In Maoyuu, we have unnecessarily large tits, paired with boob physics, and a squeeing fem mc trying too hard to be moe whenever she's near the protagonist.

Good thing the author wrote Log Horizon (at least if I recall correctly), because this show had good economics but I didn't like a single recurring character.

I want Spice And Wolf 3. I'll sell my soul for it.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is way better than Spice and Wolf.

For one, the economics isn't grade school level:

Also superior humour:

Soul Eater Not! - 01

Man! Dat Cameo! Are they going to be around for the series or will they let the new characters shine? Frankly, I'm fine with either :)

On that note, is this even a series?

I can't tell if you're serious Haly, but if you are we'll have to heavily disagree. And I emphasize heavily. The economics was the upside of both of them, and economics talk was much better done in Log Horizon anyways.

Well I stopped watching Spice and Wolf 2-3 episodes in because it was just so dull. Meanwhile, still reading Yuusha.
haly: Where your argument falls short is the lack of Korbo.

Korbo is one monster girl, Maoyuu Maou Yuusha has an entire cast of monster girls on top of Demon Queen.

I think that S&W was never really intended to be comedy; its a drama through and through though it has its light moments. I really enjoyed both but I think Spice and Wolf had better inter-relationship development while Maou is a harem build story with some provocative topics stitching it together. I don't mean to say that in a disparaging way as I feel its a strength that gets it that Shounen viewership (...tried at least).

PAULINK

I microwave steaks.
Burning through The World God Only Knows season 2, forgot how watchable this series is. And elsie is just too cute :B

The saddest part of Grave of the Fireflies is definitely when you find out that it's semi-autobiographical.

Juxtapose the core portrait the story paints of the roll society plays in terrible things happening to people in open view during terrible times to that of Psycho Pass crosswalk beat down in a supposedly ideal society where people still do nothing not because they can't afford to.

I wonder if the reality of the past has any input into pure works of fiction like that?

Don't ask :( I was thinking about how angry the main character from Pyscho Pass made me even though I was supposed to be angry at the serial killer. Even with this realization, I'm still not able to empathize with hatred of the little sister :(

I fell asleep the first time I was watching Spice and Wolf. Then I gave the show another fair shot, powered through the first few episodes and it became damn good by the end of the show. Most of the times people seem to mention 'good LN' I recall seeing Spice and Wolf. If you ever get a chance give it another watch. If anything for the two protagonists who have great chemistry and development.
