Movie was good. Deserved the opening weekend total.
 
You know it's sad when Batman V Superman's success isn't as comparable to Deadpool. Yeah a 170 million opening is great but for Batman V Superman it should of been more.

I mean one has 58 million budget while the other has a 250 million budget. Times sure have changed lol.

People might be getting a bit tired of superheroes. Both Antman and Avengers 2 underperformed after all. Deadpool succeeded because it was fresh take on the genre, but being fresh is not something a tentpole like BvS will ever be able to be

Ant-man performed what marvel expected. It did better than they thought it would.

It did not underperforming. Age of Ultron underperformed compared to its predecessor.

But both made their money back.

Whose? All the cast and crew all got their paychecks. As long as they were easy to work with and good at their job, they'll move onto another movie and another. They're not getting anything out of the return of this movie. And if the top creative people on this had done their job well, the reaction to this movie wouldn't be nearly as mixed (at best) as it is.
 
I liked the movie so hopefully it keeps doing well. EW says this is the biggest opening for WB and fourth biggest global opening ever.

Plus Deadpool only opened with just 3500 theaters in its first weekend vs BvS having 4200 theaters to open to.

Ant-Man did not underperform at all. It was a movie about fucking ants that everyone expected to bomb. In the end, it had the second highest solo debut in the MCU and fantastic legs, even better than The Avengers.

Agreed, though I do feel sorry for Ben. First Daredevil now this. All last year he looked depressed after the breakup. As we gotten closer to this film he started to look happy again then reviews happened now he is depressed again. (Sad Affleck) now has over 15 million views in just 3 days.

Wonder Woman
Jeremy Irons
Batman infiltration scene
There are things about this movie that work and others that don't work. I've actually quite possibly been kinder to this movie than my numerous epic tear downs of Naruto. I don't even know what the fedora thing means. Am I a hipster now cause I don't like this movie...well cause I like about 20% of this actual movie. The movie is a 60% to me tops.

The idea is, if the movie flops, drastic changes will be made to make the next film better.

See: us fanboys cheering against ASM2. And then my avatar ;)
