Good Luck, Have Batman is DC's unnoficial motto.

Yea it's not a big indicator, but it just is odd to me seeing my social media account and only one or two people running out to see WW. While any Marvel movie, everyone is checking in day 0 and splooging about it all over the place. It just kinda has me worried
Marvel can't even top a billion without Iron Lad
Young Avengers > Avengers
If only =(
Young Avengers > Avengers
If only =(
Young Avengers > Avengers
Ferro Lad launching the LOSH verse would be 2 billion easy
If only =(
Young Avengers > Avengers
None of this makes it any less weird given the respective histories of the two properties.
I expected better from you
Ferro Lad launching the LOSH verse would be 2 billion easy
Star Wars could make a movie about Greedo and it would do better than a Trek for example.

USD 12M first screenings and opening day.
Don't know how credible, because it came from Zaddy's girl on twitter.

I am surprised you still into comics. That is like being given a gun and shoved into the front lines of a war with no training.Haha. The Crossing was the first Avengers story I ever read. I hold a grudge to this day.

Wasn't Iron Lad Kang's son from the future? Or was he young Kang from the future? And didn't he fuse with someone to become Vision and became leader of the Young Avengers?
Was just looking at franchise totals on Mojo..
Marvel CU has made.. 11.7 BILLION overall?
Holy shit
Yup. It will probably remain ahead of everything else for at least a decade, if not multiple decades.
I started with The Crossing, the Clone Saga, the post-Claremont X-Men and issues 1, 6 and 12 of Crisis on Infinite Earths. I was born on the battlefield.
He's young Kang. His armor becomes Vision somehow. I don't remember the details, it's been a while...
I wonder if Marvel saw the success of Get Out and thought maybe they should go a little harder on the race aspects. It's basically the only time I wish BP was a DC film with Coogler and the People v. OJ writer working at the helm. This needs to go all in on colonization and eurocentrism and Afrofuturism but Marvel won't allow it.
The fact they got the guy from the race episodes of OJ makes me hopeful there'll be some at least though.
This is the first MCU film with a legit acclaimed writer right? I'm not entirely sure but the guy wrote the best episodes of People v. OJ. I really want it to be radical.I like to imagine Black Panther is one big apology for relegating black men to the best friend role, and black women to the... well we'll see with Valkyrie. They should let Coogler work. The cast is great. The premise is great. I have faith it'll be up there with Wonder Woman.
My poor SW. I was sadly mistaken..
Forgot about Marvel.
However.. give it time. Give it time. Although we might be waiting a while. I think it's gotta make up for like a 3 or 4 billion gap, lol.
Marvel doing 2-3 films a year doesn't allow for much catching up. This Year's Star Wars might top GotG2 + Thor 3 combined, but probably only by a bit.
First Friday estimates showed Wonder Woman finishing in the $96 million to $103 million range.
With good WoM it should easily be in the highest estimates.
Deadline is saying $34-37.5M for Wonder Woman on Friday.
That compares how to other movies? It sounds good to me, Winter Soldier was around that ballpark and had 95M OW.Deadline is saying $34-37.5M for Wonder Woman on Friday.

Then that sounds a bit disappointing. That includes the previews I'm sure.

UPDATE, Friday, 11:50 PM: Midday figures show Warner Bros/DCs Wonder Woman flying toward a $34 million-$37.5 million Friday, with a three-day projection of $86M on the low end and a potential shot at breaking into the low-to-mid-$90M range. This is a similar box office sphere where Disney/Marvel launched Doctor Strange launched ($32.6M first day, $85M for the weekend) and Guardians Of The Galaxy ($37.8M, $94.3M weekend), so a very healthy start for a new superhero franchise.
$100m is happening
Thursday was lower than it should have been thanks to NBA Finals.
#believe
Saw WW.
Jokes aside, if any superhero film deserves a billion it's that. If you have daughters, take them to see it please. DC Captain America'd that shit.
Your fault tbh
Hope this does well enough that Marvel ends up kicking themselves for sleeping on their own female heroines for so long.
...Bah, who am I kidding? They don't give a shit, they're making more money than God either way.
"Which weird obscure heroes can we use next to make almost a billion dollars? You look good, Forbush Man. Get in here."
