soft opening for the Wolverine, that last movie may have turned people off from it.
I thought I read somewhere that it was tracking 70 million opening weekend? I saw it Friday night and it was much better than Origins. It didn't blow me away though.
The Lone Ranger:
Domestic: $85,300,000
Foreign: $78,600,000
Worldwide: $163,900,000
Can Lone Ranger be considered a bigger flop than John Carter? Or was Carter's marketing budget much bigger than Ranger's?

Despicable Me 2 > Man of Steel after this weekend?
Second only to Iron Man 3 for highest grossing movie of the year, I believe.
Conjuring will make more money domestically than Pacific Rim.
Let that sink in.

At first glance that seems like a solid opening take for Wolverine, but when you look at what stuff like Iron Man, Batman and even Man of Steel pulled in, I wonder if Fox is concerned that they have essentially taken one of the most popular comic characters on the planet and turned him into a B-tier superhero franchise. A Wolverine done right should be pulling in huge numbers, no? I know people hate reboots but maybe it's time to move on from Jackman.
