I'm SO HAPPY Star Wars beat that TRASH Jurassic World into the ground.
LMAO I remember the prattoons trying to tell me that JW would hold the record and that Chris Pratt was the reason it did reasonably well
Episode VII was so good. Like only Empire Strikes back and Revenge of the Sith are higher in the SW rankings imo. Episode VII deserves that top spot more than Avatar tbh.
Jurassic World is the worst film of 2015. Garbage plot, piss poor acting, horrendous CG, lame music, poor casting decisions, bad reviews. I'm SO GLAD that people are starting to vote with their wallets for QUALITY once again. Poor JW, it's over for the dinos.
Up next to battle Star Wars for that record is the soon to be critically acclaimed Captain America: Civil War.

lol. Honestly Episode VII was okay. Not "so good" and I'm a huge Star Wars fan. Of course that's just my opinion but the marketing machine has certainly done its job here.
Worldwide, Jurassic World still had a bigger opening, broheim.

I'm not a Star Wars guy and the marketing/fans completely ruined the whole thing. Overhyped it to no end. It is an OK movie that is specifically designed to please everyone, and have no other qualities.
That'll very likely fall when the estimates are updated. We know Sunday was more like ~$60M. And it didn't have China.Worldwide, Jurassic World still had a bigger opening, broheim.

I am really curious to see how Ghostbusters does. People complain about "ewwww girls" nonsense but a trailer with the Ray Parker Jr. theme playing? That's going to hit the nostalgia button of a lot of people.
Both Gremlins and Bill & Ted are in development hell and have been for years, I wouldn't expect them anytime soon if ever until they actually are in pre-production.

Nope.
Right now, SW is at $517M and JW at $524M.

Bobby why must you lie to the good people

Edit: Although as has been pointed out, not everything might have been tallied yet.
I'm all for bashing the complete and utter mediocrity of Jurassic World, but simultaneously praising Revenge of the Sith? That's some silly nonsense.I'm SO HAPPY Star Wars beat that TRASH Jurassic World into the ground.

Are people being sarcastic in their hate on JW or is that genuine? I enjoyed the movie.

Pfffff even with the updated number, Star Wars still won't beat The Cameron duo.

Bob Iger is saying as of this morning, $247M domestic and $528M worldwide.
I'm making a list of how many goddamn people freenudemacusers and G-Fex can trick during this Star Wars nonsense
damn gimmick posters

Only Cameron beats Cameron.
Impressive though, but Disney is still in the red. It needed $4 billion.
Worldwide, getting to Avatar is really unlikely.
But domestic, It's got a shot.
