The universe auto-corrected itself after Universal's idiotic success. WB really did deserve better after gracing us with Fury Road.
It's going to be a fan dream film like Tron 3 or Pacific Rim 2. It's going to be in development hell for years till people just forget about it.
I loved the movie but its gross was nowhere near large enough for WB to push hard for the sequel. It falls into that Tron & Pacific Rim limbo zone perfectly. Let's be realistic here.

Eh, I like the characters, music, and over all tone of the force awakens more than fury road. Fury road has great action, but not much else about it is interesting to me.
Problem is WB is going to see their great films in 2015 failing to light the world on fire yet see stuff standard franchise material like BvS and the Harry Potter spin-off do great next year.
They won't be green-lighting 2015 type of films any time soon after that. Oh well.

I still can't believe how good Fury Road was. I mean it's no TFA but man that was fantastic movie. I still need to see The Big Short & The Hateful Eight but my top 5 for the year without seeing those two yet would be:
