World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

As an assassination rogue I hate trash only b/c I have to put in more effort than everyone else lol. Fan of knives still looks the coolest tho, don't @ me

and people complained about Cataclysms trash

Then when?

Sargeras for example, was always heavily Alliance. Illidan, Kiljaedan, heavily Horde. There were always servers that had a 1:12 ratio, if not from Vanilla, then since BC atleast.

I guess, maybe I didnt notice it because things were broken down into zones and horde and alliance had their own quest line. Where as now those imbalances are magnified to a hilarious degree because we all are in the same zone and many of our questlines are shared

I know for certain my server ratio was fairly close like 3:2 alliance at least till the end if WotLK, now it's 1:7.5 horde.

It would have been nice if Blizzard offered ppl who came back after being gone for years character transfers for free. Caused I really don't feel like shelling out $100 on character transfers on top of the $60 I paid to start playing again.

I'd gladly trade this free charscter boost in for transfer credit tbh

It was never as bad as it is now. There are literally servers out there with a 1:12 ratio.
I know for damn sure my server wasn't this bad back during Vanilla-Wrath

Thing is, your experience is a small and very secluded example. Most servers were in that ratio and still are, even some with a wider gap.

Both of my vanilla servers were very heavy on one side. Mainly in favor of alliance. Didn't help that horde seemed to have better guild loyalty as it was a pain to find groups.

Whereas now it is easy peasy.

This expansion is full of that shit.

I didn't mind it in cata and I don't in Emerald, but kara is kinda over the top overshadowing the boss fight lol.

PSA: Since the patch you can use your class order hall items that can complete a world quest every 18 hours to complete the more difficult blue-marked ones.
Some of them give especially much of a resource, be it gold, order hall resources or AP.

Brb, using it on the East Suramar group quest.

I didn't find any legendary yesterday, but I had a pair of 840 gloves from a wq titanforge to 865 and with a socket. It was a pretty cool moment. Have to say the upgrade to the WQs felt pretty real for little ol me, with most armor drops warforging and being nice little upgrades.
My AK timers though are still pretty long, on both my main and alt. I though they were supposed to become speedier on 7.1, but maybe they meant later on.

Not going to Blizzcon but I am going to hopefully get a tour of the Blizzard Austin offices soon. Met some employees at work, it was soooooo cool.

Super pumped.

Also is there a way to accurately track the server resets? realmstatus still says they're all up for me and i don't want to get lost in Civ 6 lol

Don't try to do this world quest right after the servers come up.

I can't read the Nightbane thing here but you had me at 'speedrun'. We were hoping for mythic+ Karazhan but that works too.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
The only thing I'm not sure on is it says the mount is a personal loot drop - does that mean 1 person at random gets the mount per run, or everyone has a chance (but there's always at least one)?

Am I missing something or is the "new Suramar questline" in this patch just a couple of those quests to reopen a teleport?
Which takes like 10 minutes.

New quests are supposed to open every weeks to slowly progress the story I think.

Ok this is for those of you who have gone into Kara. My 5 man group which is made up of the better parts of the random group of us that clear EN on Normal are going to be giving Kara a shot tonight. Is there anything we need to know? The group make up is a bit funny but it should be ok. It's Monk Tank, DH, Frost DK and Ret Pally as DPS and then me as a holy priest.

We do not have the greatest ilevels but we are all in the 855+ area. I hit 859 the other day due to getting the legendary bracers which are I guess a decent one. Would have loved the cloak just because it seems like a fun thing and it might even be to my benefit to die then on certain fights lol

863 Holy Priest and I spent an hour getting turned down for regular mythics yesterday. Some groups that had been looking for a healer for 10-15 minutes. It's pathetic.

Finally ended up joining two groups which were getting no love, who were asking for relaxed players. They were quite undergeared and aside from one of the dps and myself they'd never set foot in that dungeon, let alone on mythic. It was an absolute blast. They were laughing at their mistakes, celebrating when stuff died, all chatty and friendly, it was great.

As a healer I feel like starting a mythic group myself is way faster and easier. Even looking for tank doesn't take too long.

I'm an 870 rogue who gets denied all the time

But it's more about timing and group comp than iLvl imo

Don't expect to get accepted to everything you apply for

I'll apply to 10 or 20 groups before I'm invited, but the invite comes eventually

If that doesn't work use your own key

We're talking about regular mythics here.

When you've been waiting for quarter of an hour for a 870+ healer w/ 2 legendaries KNO TACS!!! for a non-key mythic which can comfortably be done in 835 gear you need to ask yourself what you're doing with your spare time.

This is pretty obvious advice but still, if your class can play as tank or healer do that. Then you can pretty much just choose which group you wanna join. I haven't even geared for tanking, just use my dps gear and haven't had any trouble, though I don't do high level keystones as tank.

I lucked into a mythic blackrook for kara attunement last night on my 844 warlock. Denied a shit load of times but I just kept plugging away while doing other things and eventually got a group, and of course it was a buttery smooth run.

Those are always the best groups if you can get them.

Sargeras was not always that heavily tilted towards Alliance. Don't remember if it started to switch when transfers to Detheroc opened up or if it was after that.

Don't be scared to start your own group. It's easy to find what you need. With the lack of tanks for things, me and a healer friend just make a group, and the most we waited for was for a tank for Kara, took like 10 mins but we got one (that was on the first day around 5 est, so it was much harder).

My go-to settings when creating a group for mythic as a healer, with a friend tank or not :
relaxed/chill in the title, and in the description : no rush, be cool, the tank pulls, beginner friendly, we do share, and ilvl min 830. I, for some reason, always group the lowest ilvl candidates.
Guess what, it works alright and people are grateful, but it's crazy we have to be this explicit for something that in an ideal world shoul be the norm.

Since the attune is account wide a couple friends and I decided to do the dungeons on alts who could actually use the gear. One of them was worried about not being geared enough despite those alts actually being gear appropriate for regular mythics (and on the high side of appropriate, to be honest).

We tried to pick DPS that were gear appropriate too but the applications were usually 850 on the low end. Saw maybe a handful of people below that applying over four separate groups we formed. Maybe there's some sort of chilling effect at play, too, where they don't think they'll get picked so why apply.

I think not being on dungeon finder contributes to people believing that you need higher gear (on top of the reality that people are just going to pick higher geared people if they have the choice). They are basically Cata heroics (or easier) that you can't queue for, which just makes it inconvenient, not hard.

Man up.

If I can stand the hour and a half of rejections it took to get into HoV mythic yesterday, then you can soldier on.

/cries internally

Took me that same amount of time for a VoW mythic. I even applies to a group that said "need hunter" and still got rejected

The new falcosaur thing is very low effort. At least in Val'sharah it is just bunch of mobs pasted on to a mountain side in the middle of nowhere. Also as if you die you get a long corpse run from the Felbane Camp in Highmountain.

I've found all 4 camps of Falcosaurs. They're all in very odd places no-one ever goes. Odds of running into them by accident is 0%.

I got my Falcosaur (Lil' Squishy!) to 25 this morning. Then he asks to see the Undercity.

Huh, I have the last recolor of the Stormfists and the hidden Mistweaver skin unlocked without ever getting either hidden artifact appearances. I'm confused and scared.

So either Sanguine + Volcanic is a very easy combo (it does seem to be quite easy...) or my group is just getting better. Likely a combination, which is why I like the Mythic+ system, if you do it with the same people you really do start to notice your synergies getting better. Normally we are able to do +5-6 pretty easily with 2 chest, then have a bit more issue with the +7, and we've been 1 chesting 7-9ish. But this week, we got +7 Black Rook and we were only ~2 minutes from getting a 3 chest, with no deaths the entire run. Felt really good. Now if only our group could see some of these increased legendary drops people are talking about, instead of just me as the tank having the almost worthless Cinidaria and our healer having Sephuz...

Also the fact that the travel form epic mount speed change works in instances and works with the version other people can ride is the best change of 7.1!

If you're struggling to find a group for a dungeon, just make your own. I've had no issues whatsoever on my 854 rogue alt making groups and getting them filled at a decent pace. Just do some WQ's or something while you wait.

Also someone has managed to get both Bejewelled and Peggle to work in WoW again :D
