World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

The Withered Army Training is the best solo content I've ever done in the game period. :/

Yes, it'd need some tweaking to account for class strengths/weakness in a another iteration (Dro was too problematic for some classes initially, and tanks get off far too easy) but that's not a reason to do away with actually interesting and at least initially somewhat challenging solo content. Guess we'll never get another iteration, though. I've played with so many unbelievably shitty players since the expansion has launched that I can understand why, but that still bothers me. Hopefully, brawler's guild will fill the gap.

Only thing I can't stand about Withered Training is having to farm up the mana constantly. Its so mind numbing.

Especially since it feels like Blizzard nerfed the respawn rate of the various items, I think.

Though there's a good amount to be had for those willing to challenge the elite sector of Suramar. Not many farm those.

It's easy to farm mana in the waning crescent part of Suramar now. A lot of houses spawn tomes/powder/arcwine/gems.

That and dont most of us just go in with just 400mana by now?

Well yeah that's the other thing. Most people are at the point where they don't need 2000 mana now so it's only relevant for alts.

Maybe its just the sort of person I am, but I like going in with all that I can and get as many point as possible. I make a game of it.

But I don't run it much anymore on my main since I'm exalted and don't need anything, though doesn't teh mount item have a chance to drop there?

edit: Also I listen to podcasts while I play so I just kinda go into a zen mode and don't overly focus, which probably helps.

I love Pokken!
Man, I thought I was up on most WoW lore, but I don't even remember who the fuck Medan is. Was he ever a significant part of WoW?

Son of Garona and Medivh. Never appeared in-game.

They specifically said he's not canon? Or at least he's not the Guardian.
They said that he's canonically not the guardian. He still exists in some capacity.

Yeah, what i read from it is that they made some elements from the WoW comic non-canon.

Want to level up another healer, Shaman or Druid?

You're going to get people angling for both. If you do mostly M+, Druid is better. In raids, Shamans are amazing. If you have a Brewmaster Monk then Shamans are pretty good at healing them, since they run below 50% health a lot of the time.

Ironically, a Druid/Shaman combo is pretty good, as they compliment each other and Shamans can get the most out of Innervate

My problem with withered training is that it very quickly became mind numbingly easy. It was really fun in the beginning when I was struggling to get chests and deciding what to do, but now 99% of the time I spend in withered training is hitting my swipe button or channelling to pick up the random withered. I can't fail, it is very easy, and it takes a long time. But they added things to it that make me want to keep doing it anyway (hidden appearances, rep, toys, mount). Contrast it to the treasure room scenario in ToT, where because of rushing through it it was always more exciting and faster paced. Withered training just gets to be too easy and slow more quickly than you get all the things you want from it. I do like the idea of it though, I loved treasure scenario in MoP.

Why shamman is better on raids? I always see druids on EN

I play Resto Shaman but I'm not as familiar with Druid, so I'll just speak to Shaman's strengths and weaknesses. Shaman have excellent raid cooldowns (healing tide, spirit link) and utility (raid movement speed, stuns/slows, interrupts), and great raid healing especially in stacking situations. Their tank healing isn't as strong as other healers because they don't have an external CD or anything that really lends itself to tank healing, but in raid that doesn't really matter as long as you have other healers that can do it. In mythic+ there are talent choices that will make your single target healing good enough for tank healing.

Druid is, according to a healer main, 'pretty boring' to play compared to other healing classes

How is it boring? You are always pressing buttons. Its by far my favorite healer right now, the mobility alone is unparalleled

Depends what content you're playing. Druid is super fun in 5mans because you have to use all your tools. But in raids it comes down a lot to "keep LB on a tank, put your green circle on the floor, WG mostly on CD, Rejuv otherwise". Ends up spending a whole lot of time putting rejuvs on people, because it is really quite good for what it does. So in raids with 20+ targets it can get boring. 5 mans, on the other hand, couldn't be more fun. Less targets so you don't feel forced to spam rejuv all day, and being the only healer things like Swiftmend and Regrowth see a lot more use.

Haven't read anything yet but just curious... I been gone a bit from WoW and basically I'm curious if people still recommend it these days still. Is it even worth jumping back into? How Is end game content right now?

davepoobond

you can't put a price on sparks
"Have you considered adding more content like the Withered Army Training quest?"

A: "...do you want more?"

Audience: "Nooooo!!"

A: "OK...no."

Applause.

But they're saying there will be more skill-testing solo content like it.

Wait what. Did they really have 0 plans for withered training to continue? What are we training them for??

From someone who has been playing on/off since pandaria i'd say legion is the best expansion since WOTLK.

I literally always have something to do which progresses my character.

Horde on my battlegroup are hot ass. I just want the pvp skin.

God damn buggy game. They "fix" Kara to have a lockout like raids right before we do our weekly run, meaning that we only have one shot at the Nightbane run once we kill Opera and we didn't make it. Cleared through Curator and decided to come back the next day, and what happens? 3 of the 5 of us die instantly when we zone in. No matter what we do, we can't fix this, just die on zoning in, solo or in a group, instances reset etc., nothing helped. Guess no 2nd half of Kara for us this week. Would've rather they just didn't fix anything...

we had that bug, too, after a few tries we didn't die anymore though

Vied for a tag related to cocks, so here it is.
The loading times have gotten silly now.

I went to stranglethorn from org, and by the time it got done loading the area the zepplin was already moving back towards org.

So this isn't just me? Last couple of weeks the loading times have been ridiculously slow for me.

We tried for around a half hour, and couldn't seem to get it to work. Ended up just doing our Mythic+10 Tyrannical/Necrotic HoV run. I do NOT recommend doing that instance with that combo... First boss was a nightmare to drop stacks on, and with 80% more HP the fight takes forever. 2nd boss Arcing Bolts hit for 1.8 million on a DPS... shield thingy hit me for 3.4 million with my 35% magic DR up. That place is not well balanced for tyrannical.

Tyrannical is not balanced period.

we somehow managed to clear a +10 vault of the wardens...the second boss is horrible with Tyrannical/Necrotic but I'd still rather have that than fortified in there.

Now tyrannical Wrath of Azshara, that's some shit.

Also, a lot of Shaman's kit is unsuitable for 5 mans. You're never going to get good use out of Healing Rain or Tide. You're pretty much going to be using EOTE, HST, spam Riptide and Healing Surge plus Chain Heal if you can get everyone stacked, and use your utility spells to help with interrupts/stuns. It's a different playstyle and I dig it, it's nice and chill and slow paced. The heals are slow but really big.

In what ways if you could expound a hit, I'd love to hear. I mean what's a typical week look like?

Cool interview with one of the devs, answers a few questions on legendaries. More legendaries are coming (in 7.1.5 potentially?) and the rebalance of some of the weaker or undesired legs is also coming in 7.1.5.

I always enjoy these often overlooked interviews that come out of Blizzcon because they are 100x better than the shitty ass QA panel every year where a bunch of dudes just announce their RP title and ask some dumb shit for an hour.

Just recently started doing mythic+ runs on a regular. This is the best thing that ever happened to WoW. It's WoW dungeons with a Diablo twist. Love it.

Shock-Baton WQ is up finally! It's one of the best trinkets even at 840.

Anyways, I really like these new weekly Suramar quests, fun and quick.
