Just a few specs fully folded it's only 12.7 mm the Samsung Z fold 6 is 12.2 mm and weighs 238 grams (if I'm not mistaken). It has 50 megapixel camera with 5.5 optical zoom fully unfolded the screen is 10.2 inches and will cost $2800 for the base model.

It's the size of a regular slab phone it's just a few millimeters thicker not sure what your problem is. Do you complain about people who use tablets in public?

This is a fantastic piece of tech, I'll save the proper gushing for a review but if it's the real deal, this would have a ton of real world uses. I for one could see it being great for work meetings if it can be coupled with a stylus, fold it out to take notes, read drawings etc then fold it back into your pockets for site walks, sitting in bed you've now got a proper sized tablet to browse, read books etc... that price though...

Oh yeah, I also think for people that could do all their computer work on an Android phone, it'd be quite useful. I couldn't make that work, but I could imagine it working for some people. But I also wonder how many of them think it's worth paying 3x the price of a top end android phone to do it all in one device.

The convenience of just having to carry one device plus having the ultimate status symbol will make it worth it for some. It's apparently loaded with all sorts of AI and satellite communication features. It comes with a wall charger, car charger and earbuds to soften the price tag a little.

4.5 million reservations in 3 days just to put things in perspective the entire global market for foldables in the 2nd quarter was 4 million. I doubt they can even produce that many.

Apparently it uses 1900 MPA steel for the hinges, ultra thin glass and Non-Newtonian fluid to help with drop protection.

Why would someone use it unfolded to record a video? The smallest iphone is going from 6.1 inches to 6.3 and the pro max is going to a massive 6.9. Did I miss you ranting about it in the apple thread?
