I would have paid 100€ for GTA V at launch. And I would pay them for GTA VI if it had the same spirit GTA V had. But I feel like GTA VI is going to be very different in tone trying to be less offensive and more politically correct and they are going to ruin it.

I don't really give a shit about it either way (i only ever finished 4, which was ok-ish) but i would pirate it, just for kicks.

100 may be stretching it. Not because I don't have the money, but because GTAVI isn't even at the top of my wishlist. I triple dipped for GTAV, but I don't feel the strong pull anymore. I'll somewhat casually buy it when it comes to PC later.

Never gave a shit about GTA.

Played it a few times when it was free on Gamepass and PS+ and did not like it. So yeah.. it's a no.

If you have never paid full price for a GTA then obviously you are going to be a no now. Probably shouldn't even be answering the poll lol.

Fuck no

I'll just play it at a friends house like I've done for every GTA

Lol, how old are you? Do you still have sleepovers?

It's a feeling I have just by watching the trailer.
If you don't see it now, maybe wont notice anything in the final game and you can enjoy it. I understand your emotional response. It's been almost 12 years of waiting. We can't have a dud. And that's maybe another reason why Rockstar is likely to play safe with this one, try not to offend anyone, etc

I wouldn't buy a single edition for £100, but would rebuy on ps6 if updated/remastered so am willing to pay more than that for it if it doesn't suck

Yes, I would purchase at $100 (heck, I’m going to buy the ultimate edition when that goes for preorder). The long wait between releases helps to not hurt my pocket and I know it’s going to be the highest quality game around during its period.

Also, rockstar games don’t go down in price for a long time, where even if other games cost $100 — I can wait and get those games at a huge discount soon after (if I really want them 😉)

Represent.

Represent(ative) of bad opinions
When this game drops, and EVERYONE is talking about it at launch, its getting news coverage, its all over socials, your friends are talking about it... You're telling me you gonna sit there all sour in protest, so you can save a measly 30 dollars? Lmfao. FOH.

You will cave to the hype machine. This games value is easily worth 100 dollars.

This goes for people who are already planning on buying the game and looking forward to it - If you have never bought a GTA game before then I dont want to hear from you because your opinion doesnt matter here.

I would.... But I wouldn't double dip like GTA 5. ( 360 and PC )

The GTA brand with me, hasn't disappointed. That's one brand were merit works for me.

If this was anyone else, I'd wait for a discount.

Possibly the comment was more for testing waters, and of course it will get a US$100 deluxe or whatever released, and a lot of people will buy it... The problem is how many people will buy it, and what the hell is going to happen into the future

Guys, don't let your emotions guide you. US$100 for just a game in 2025 is fucked up

If the quality is there...and given they been working on this for over a decade...sure they can get $100 out of me. I don't think I would be able to resist the hype. Sorry.

That being said, it is an absolute guarantee that they will monetize the absolute fuck out of the online portion of the game...which means the game will be incredibly grindy and P2W just like GTA 5. I've purchased one shark card in my entire time playing GTA 5 online and I still can't quite get the taste out of my mouth. I did use the money glitch when it was a thing and got to keep most of my goods. Nowadays, just join a hackers lobby and they can damn near force money on you just by being in their vicinity.

It's my hope that they get some really good artists and make some nice skins for the game and leave it at that, but I know it's a pipe dream.

I'd be in once at $100 for the PS5 version. I need a "generational" game for the PS5, and just the build up for the release date and getting it day of would be worth $100 for the experience.

But, after seeing how Rockstar released V on so many different consoles/platforms, I just don't see them charging $100. The $70 price point allows them to go after people who will double and triple+ dip over the years. I just don't see them getting big numbers of people buying it multiple times at $100.

I can honestly say I've not had "fun" in a GTA game since GTA3.
I recognise the technical achievements of the games but they're just not, in my opinion, fun.

I'll wait and see what happens with the PC modding scene in a couple of years time and maybe buy it if there's something good there.

Only after it dropped to 50€.
I understand development might have cost them over a billion.
Not my problem though and unless i can spot the billion while playing, it's not worth it.

It's one of very few titles that I think I could buy at that price and feel I got that level of value from. No other company really makes games where I would be willing to say the same. If Take-Two/ Rockstar do it, and other companies follow suit, I don't think I'd buy many titles at full price / day one going forward.

No I'll just wait for a sale. Unless the 100 is some special edition deluxe stuff with exclusive features and depending on how good those are than maybe.

GTA VI, Fallout 5, and Elder Scrolls VI are the closet three I'll considered paying more than full price for if I must.

I value time as a gamer. I'm going to surely put 1000+ hours into GTA 6 over the course of a decade. If I'm being real, I would spend a lot more than 100$ on it. I say that as someone who refuses to buy games full price if they have less than 25 hrs of content, like Space Marine 2 or Doom
