I'd love it if CM Punk gets called up and no one cares who he is, he never develops a good gimmick or angle, and no one notices his talent.

Apparently he's dodged quite a number of shitty gimmicks while in OVW, including someone wanting him to be a member of the Spirit Squad and possibly the Pirate.

Triple H pedigreed x-pac and became heel.

it's more than that...

he got tired of the DX BS at WM15 after his match with Kane, he joined up with McMahon..that's when the whole it's my time now..I got held back because of the MSG thing with Nash and Hall BS thing started.

Much like Cena's theme, HHH's theme was called My Time... After Taker failed beating Austin in a first blood match for the title, HHH went on to a 3 way dance at Summerslam between Austin/Mankind/HHH....Mankind pinned Austin because Austin didn't want to job to HHH....next night, HHH beats Mankind for the title..... DX got back together twice since then....they were heels with HHH as the champ.....the other time is when HHH turned on HBK....why do I remember all that, I don't know.

Austin didnt want to job to HHH?

What the **** austin.

When Austin doesn't want to job, he either gets his way or leaves

It was HHH/Austin at Summerslam...Austin didn't want to do the job and they threw Mankind in there at the last minute. Interesting enough is...HHH/Austin had the craziest street fight ever. HHH was in a car and Austin jumped into a huge forklift, picked the car up with HHH in it and droped the car on it's roof. The show ended after that :lol

I think Foley lied about the situation in his book and made something up, but the truth is Austin didn't want to lose that belt to HHH, so they had to compromise with the 24 hour Mankind reign.

I don't blame Austin. HHH sucks. He can't work the mic for shit and he can't ****ing wrestle. He can definitely copy the work of others and keep a match flowing, but very, very rarely have I seen HHH make a match actually entertaining.

Dude Austin NEVER wants to put people over. He's as bad as Hogan in that regard.

It's one of the reasons why they couldn't get Austin and Hogan for WM. Neither one is willing to job.

Austin shut the **** up and put someone over just like everyone jobbed to put you over. i want him to bring a rising star up but in NOOO way do I want Austin to job to Hogan, hell no.

Then explain why he no-showed TWICE at company events?

Ehhhh, Trips can go in the ring when motivated.

Big disagree about HHH on the mic though... Really not sure what you're expecting in that regard..

Yeah I'm wrong.

When I wrote that, all I was thinking about was his long, rambling heel promos that no one likes. I forgot that he can be pretty awesome as a face.

He can work the mic, he just chooses to be boring.

There's some good ones while he was a heel too... I mean, nothing like the ****ing Rock, but he's pretty damn good.

I'd say a guy that cuts 1 interesting, entertaining promo out of 10 isn't very good. Especially so when he usually takes 20 minutes to say what could be said in 2.

**** Triple H and Vince's long-winded, slow bullshit.

Also, Austin didn't want to job at King of the Ring to Brock Lesnar, which is why RVD got beat in the Finals.
Austin didn't want to job to Brock on a Raw. He explained many times that his match with Brock should've been built-up, and not just thrown together on a random Raw.

Don't forget that Austin was going to feud with Jeff Jarrett, but Austin didn't consider Jarrett main-event material. So Jarrett left for WCW.

Uh, I think you're going to be pretty much on your own with that statement. HHH was th eonly reason his matches with Big Dave were even watchable. Hell, his stuff with the Foley "retirement" were CLASSIC

HHH is a hell of a worker when motivated, both in the ring and on the mic.

BTW, on my way to Cleveland for the sports show. Time to meet some legends.

6/16 OVW RESULTS

In a "dark match" Roadkill, KC James, Mo, Cody Runnels & Chett The Jett defeated The Untouchables, Fearless Jack Bull, Pat Buck, & Rahim. Fun match for what it was, lots of ridiculous spots like the 9 man headlock with Chett setting off a domino effect that hurt only the heels. Roadkill Scored the pin with a top rope splash on Buck.

Seth Skyfire defeated Chuck The Hammer Evans. Chuck worked over Seth's back the entire match as Kenny Bolin had pointed out pre-match that Seth had a bad back. Seth got the pin by countering (what appeared to be) a Dominator attempt by Evans into a snake eyes.

Boris Alexiev submitted Shawn Spears to his armbar. Shawn looked good in this outing and actually scored two near falls. Still a brief outing as most of Boris' matches have been.

ODB & Venus defeated Serena & Jennifer (Daisy Mae) when ODB rolled up Serena with a handful of tights. Finish came with all four women in the ring and ODB dodged Serena's spear causing Venus to take the finisher. Serena again looked like a million bucks in this match.

Aaron The Idol Stevens defeated Elijah Burke holding the ropes for the pin. This match seemed to drag, and Elijah did his usual over the top facials while at the mercy of the heel's offense. Finish came as Elijah leaped over a splash attempt in the corner and Idol countered the roll up attempt by sitting down on Burke with ropes in hand. (Idol deserves better than facing Burke)

Big Show defeated The Miz with a chokeslam. Miz had Roni Jonah, Chuck Evans and Kenny Bolin at ringside. Miz mouthed off to the crowd on the mic to get his heat, Show came out, slapped Miz around. Miz tried to take out the left leg, then everyone else ran in, Show dispatched Evans and Bolin, kissed Jonah, then chokeslammed the Miz for the pin.

CM Punk & Al Snow defeated Shad Gaspard, The Neighborhoodie & Simon Dean. Dean had lead Al on a chase into the back leaving Punk down 2 on 1 in the ring. Gaspard was about to finish off Punk when Snow came back with Head and took out Gaspard. Punk hit the side effect into the Anaconda Vice for the submission on The Neighborhoodie.

Post match Al slipped and referred to Dean Hill as Dean Visk. Unfortunately it did not mean that Visk had returned to OVW.

TNA Give Away Massive **SPOILER** For Sunday's NWA Title Match
Date Added: June 17, 2006
Story By: Daniel Edler
Source: PWI & Spike TV (http://www.spiketv.com/syndication/TNAPlayer.swf?streamParam=shows/tnawrestling/global7)

-- TNA have posted up the latest edition of “Global Impact” on their website, which I assume is set to go live next week, where they talk about the “aftermath of Slammiversary”, and talk briefly about that PPV event, which doesn’t actually occur until tomorrow night. They also mention this Thursday’s iMPACT event on Spike TV, and then say that the NEW World Heavyweight Champ will be there.

Clearly, if this leaked piece of video is to be believed, that means Sunday night will be the last as champion, for the meanwhile, for Christian Cage.

OMG TWO SHAWNS!!!

...silly WWE! How could we possibly handle two HBK's???

SmackDown is finally on in this area.

And there is just something so weird about having a cruiserweight champion that is bigger than your world champion.

They should switch title belts.

Triple H is adequate. But, considering the camera time he's had over the past 5-6 years, and how Raw has been booked around him, he should be a much bigger star than he is. As it stands, he's nowhere near being as big a star as The Rock, Steve Austin, or Kurt Angle. Up until his quad surgery I thought he was really awesome, but after that I think he sort of coasted for a while, only having exceptional matches every now and then. His character development had been really well done up until that point (transforming from an aristocrat to DX, to The Game), but that too really went on cruise control for the longest time afterwards. I mean, I know it sounds dumb talking about character development with WWE but when you have the same stagnant wrestler giving the same twenty minute promos every week for several years it gets really old.

good promo though

DAMN good promo. It's a wonder they don't let Joe talk more. He can deliver a nice, tigth, INTENSE promo. Impact as a whole was pretty damn good and a step up from the past couple weeks. Of course, after the lackluster week of WWE just aboyut anything looks like an improvement.

I will say one thing in Samckdown's favor. With half the roster near death, it's actually giving them time to do some decent matches that last more than 10 minutes.

I'm not sure about JBL on commentary though.... it got to be a bit grating by about the hour mark. If he's going to do it full time, he's got to back off a bit.

Eh, Taz will be back soon. Once ECW is cancelled again.

The only thing about TNA is the fact that Jarrett is going to win the title again. Yawn.

I know it isn't set in stone, but you know it's going to happen. It's inevitable. Hell, by the time it's said and done, Jarrett will have more title reigns as world champion than Ric Flair.

For the first time since the Attitude era kicked off, the original D-Generation X is back. Shawn Michaels and Triple H were brought back together by the common cause of wreaking havoc on Mr. McMahon, and DX was reborn. The defiant duo disposed of the Spirit Squad on RAW, and after a few emphatic double crotch chops, Triple H capped off the night by mooning the Chairman.

What will DX have in store for Mr. McMahon and the Spirit Squad this Monday night when they make their first live RAW appearance since reuniting? If their history is any indication, one thing's certain - it will be unpredictable.

Also this week on RAW, one-half of the self-proclaimed Hardcore Champions, Edge, will go one on one with Ric Flair. Can the Rated-R Superstar soften up the Nature Boy for Mick Foley before Vengeance? Watch RAW to find out.

Last Tuesday on the premiere of ECW on Sci Fi, John Cena laid out Paul Heyman after a brawl between Cena, Edge and Rob Van Dam. Heyman later promised that he was coming to RAW and ECW would be coming with him. Just six days before Cena meets ECW's Sabu at Vengeance, will the former WWE Champion have to look over his shoulder for the extreme team?

Don’t miss RAW for all of this and more Monday night at 9/8 CT on the USA Network.

Is HBK bringing back the chain and leather vests?!

Something good could be syndicated soon.

The bolded makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

But to be fair, I don't think it's going to be Double J who gets the belt tomorrow. I'm going dark horse on this one and picking Abyss.

I wish TNA would give it to someone like Abyss.. someone who needs to be brought up into the spotlight. Honestly, this glass ceiling all these ex-WWE and WCW stars keep talking about.... this definitely needs to be broken by TNA stars soon.

So I'm the only one that thinks Joe's voice doesn't match his looks? He sounds weird to me for some reason...doesn't seem to be as intense as he could be.
Nah it seemed that way to me at first too way, way back in the day, but whatever. A voice is a voice, and he sounds normal to me now.

It's like if Sabu cut a promo next week. So few people have heard him, nothing he says could possibly sound like what people imagine.

There was a time when I loved ECW. When I respected ECW. Back in the days when it was run by a visionary. Back when it was owned by a genius. Let's hear it for Stephanie McMahon! Long live the Alliance!
