How about firing Vince McMahon for calling John Cena a nigga?

But no, we all know rules in that company only count for lower half of the employees. Similar how they test for PED's, i am sure Hunter and Cena walk around with syringes up their asses and nobody would dare give them a second look
You're getting too worked up over this. They were probably just looking for a reason to drop him, and he gave it to them. Literally every company does this. Doesn't make it right, but that's how at-will employment in America goes.

HHH: [TWENTY MINUTE OPENING SPEECH ABOUT A NEARLY 3 YEAR LONG ANGLE OF AUTHORITY VS FACES]
ROMAN [stilted]: I WANT MY RA-REMATCH
HHH [intensifying]: YOU CANT HAVE IT! I DECIDE. ALSO. YOU CAN HAVE IT. BUT YOU AND THE AUDIENCE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT THREE WEEKS FOR TLC.
ROMAN: OK. GOOD. SO N-NOW WHAT?
HHH: I DONT KNOW. WE'LL JUST PUT THIS SHIT INTO CRUISE CONTROL UNTIL THEN.
ROMAN: SO WEE-THREE WEEKS OF INCONSEQUENTIAL BOOKING FOLLOWED BY A PEDRACTABLE PPV RESULT?
HHH: ABSOLUTELY. AND THAT INCONSEQUENTIAL BOOKING YOU SPEAK OF?... THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT STARTS TONIGHT!!!

Slight fixes.

JBL is horribly dated with his references at this point. I watched the New Day promo on YT and the first thing out of his mouth is, "It's Howdy Doody, Maggle!"

Seriously? That's what will bring in those 18-34 viewers?

There are no excuses for how dated the references of the commentary team are when it comes to their target demographic. But then, that should come as no surprise when you have a bunch of straight, white 50-year-old men framing the stories and telling the jokes at the whims of a straight, white 70-year-old man.

What does being white have to do with it?

There was a time when I preferred the commentary of Cole/Tazz to JR/King, and I say that as a complete JR Mark.

Now the commentary is only bad and unhelpful, which is a step-up from the Heel Cole days when it was not only unbearable, but also actively damaging to the roster itself.

Just Vince. And Stephanie's no better, she's the one who hires hollywood writers.

At one point they had Heyman, Dutch Mantell and Dusty Rhodes all hired and decided Freddie Prinze Jr and some guy who used to write for Spongebob were better placed.

Not that Heyman would have done that job again, but come on.

JBL was pretty good in his first smackdown commentary run when he talked about his on-the-road stories

I'm feeling some sympy for Cole right now. Vince's micromanaging is insane.
I'm not sure anyone else could do the job Cole has done for the past 15 years with such composure.
Dude's a straight up professional and doesn't get enough credit. He's as much of an asset to the WWE as Cena has been.

Shane is the smartest McMahon. He got away from the clusterfuck that is the WWE.
Man I miss Shane. You know I would flip out if he ever returned but like you said he's smart enough to know to not come back. He's too good for WWE anyway. Last I checked he's got a lot going on with that on demand service in China. I think he even helps run a motorcycle shop out of Brooklyn too. He's doing good for himself.

Seems pretty happy if you ask me. (This was taken last week.)

That China thing didn't work out too well in the end.

I don't think he's hoverhanding, I think he's resting his arm on her shoulder and his hand is hanging awkwardly. Also I think that's his wife.

It looks to me like a calculated maneuver to attract the new neckbeard millennial demographic that will save wrestling.

Save us Shane.

From the October 5th, 1998 issue of the Wrestling Observer newsletter:

"...when a guy starts getting hot in WWF, they keep pushing him until he starts cooling off and if it means upsetting an established star, so be it. In WCW, when a guy starts getting hot, they immediately have an established star squash him, unless the company got the guy hot as opposed to one of those guys who just catches on for no apparent reason."

wwf transitioned into wcw so slowly I didn't notice

actually that's an insult to wcw, even new blood vs the millionaires club and flair's magnificent seven was more entertaining then wwf right now

That all changed when Triple H started dating Stephanie.

Or when they changed head writers. That's one gripe no one ever had with Russo. He pushed the people the fans wanted. Even when he went to WCW, he put Bret Hart and Benoit and then Booker T immediately into the main event.

Smackdown viewership reaches record low

- As noted, Thursday's Thanksgiving edition of WWE SmackDown drew a record-low 1.652 million viewers, down from the 2.229 the week before. The final rating for the show was a 1.15, down from the previous week's 1.64 rating. This is close to the lowest-rated SmackDown in Syfy history, going back to a 1.14 in December 2010 on their debut episode.

Fun fact, TNA was averaging 1.17 rating with 1.61 million viewers in 2011. they literally reached TNA levels with smackdown last week

To be fair, it's their first show on actual Thanksgiving since they left UPN/CW

That's some next-level hover handing

Are none of you guys tall? Its almost impossible to rest your hand on a womens shoulder when they are in the crook of your armpit and you have your arm around them, especially if they are much smaller than you, which is generally the case.
