I understand the impetus behind it, but damn I hate when shit gets announced ahead of time. Part of the problems wth RAW is the lack of surprises, so having them shoved in our face ahead of time is a bit disappointing.

You could quite easily have this and some surprises, but I doubt the creative team has any.

Yeah. They have 5 hours a week of television to work with, and you're lucky to even get just one cliche plot point per week.

Semi related question, but I subscribed to the WWE Network, and while I'm using the iPhone app to watch, I also noticed an achievement in the Xbox One app that requires watching five episodes of Total Divas.

That's six too many, but I noticed that there's some episodes coming up on the live schedule. Can I just idle my Xbox One and get the five there? It's preferable to, well, actually sitting through that.

Xbox WWE app has achievements?! Amazing.

Never used the network app but if it's anything like Youtube or Twitch, you can snap it and have it running in the corner (in silence of you want) whilst you play something. You might also be able to just fast forward to the end, watch the last few seconds and potentially have that count towards the total.

I fell asleep while watching NXT and woke up to this achievement, so.....

Good. The only one that I think may be a problem is the one you get for watching a live PPV, at least until they get their shit together on the connection overloads happening all the time. Tried to get that one for the TLC PPV, but the connection error happened on my end.

What, you actually watched Total Divas five times? 😂

You should be embarrassed for spending time trying to cheese lame-o achievements, not for watching solid entertainment like Total Divas where you can get in depth information on Daniel Bryan's poo habits, creepy bro Bella, and the rise to power of the red queen.

January 4th's edition of WWE Monday Night Raw did what has to be considered a disappointing number given it was the first week since September that they were without any NFL competition.

The show did 3.57 million viewers, even with the advertising of Roman Reigns defending the WWE title against Sheamus with Vince McMahon as referee. Worse, even with no football to blame, the second and third hours dropped from the second strongest first hour since April. The number is lower than what the show had been doing in the summer.

The rating is almost identical to last week when Raw went against the highest rated NFL game of the season, and it's usually normal to expect a 10 percent increase just based on no NFL competition alone. It is up from the football season average, but given the ratings the first two McMahon appearances drew, it was down from the first and the same as the second without the competition.

Raw was the highest rated show on cable for the night, however, slightly ahead of The O'Reilly Factor on Fox News.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 3.71 million viewers
9 p.m. 3.52 million viewers
10 p.m. 3.50 million viewers

if they give hhh the title, i think their strategy is to give someone who is truly awful that the fans do not want as champ, so when reigns wins it from them they can say "well at least its not hhh/sheamus" and maybe they wont boo him. bold strategy cotton, lets see if it pays off

IMO, the way they should go is have Brock enter at #1 and absolutely destroy everyone else. It's never been done before and it gives Brock that unstoppable image he had before the Taker feud.
I hope they don't do that, he was good at one time but he is terrible now and would just make it even worst if he did that.

I skipped the last two RAW's in a long long time, I don't care as much anymore. Anyways, the ratings are higher than I thought.
yeah I haven't watched a raw since post wrestlemania and I don't care to watch another one till next post wrestlemania.

It was at one time a highlight of my mondays.

Me too. Like it made Monday's at work, or school bearable, because I knew Id be having fun watching after, but man has the last 15 years been bad.

I watched Wrestle Kingdom and then like 5 minutes of Raw. Felt like a bad children's show in comparison.

Like NJPW is a kids show too, but it felt relevant and modern. I don't know what the hell Raw is or who it's supposed to appeal to. It's the blandest show on TV, despite the show's original purpose and branding.

The big difference for me is that NJPW treats wrestling like a real sport. Of course they have their share of buffoonery (it's Japan), but when there's two good competitors in the ring it actually feels like a competition, and the commentary reflects that. WCW was great at this too. WWE's never really been about that, but they've gone so far down the "Sports Entertainment" road that the matches rarely matter or have weight to them. Then the commentary doesn't help since all they do is shill, make jokes, and barely call the matches.

The modern WWE audience is also the worst i've ever seen. Either the crowd is dead, the women and children are cheering on John Cena or Roman Reigns, or the smarks are actively fucking up the show by booing those guys or chanting for someone who's not even there. "YES" is also the dumbest thing ever. How brain-dead are you guys?

But I don't want to see HHH lose after Roman attacked him for no reason :(

A good fight is a good fight but a bad fight that ends with roman winning is awful. However, i doubt that will happen as Roman had been trying damn hard of late and it shows. Damn those people that disses him, blame booking and creative, not roman.

I hope wwe changes to the competition style of presentation for the less entertainment they attempt to provide the better. Nxt is proof of this in respect to proving their own ground.

Raw set another all-time record low for the era for a non-football season broadcast last night, averaging 3.37 million viewers.

The prior lowest audience outside of holidays and football season was 3.46 million set on June 29, 2015.

In particular was a strong third hour drop to 3.09 million viewers, numbers that most of the third hours against the NFL in the fall topped last night's final hour, headlined by Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. New Day.

Going in, expectations weren't strong with the Iowa Caucus coverage expected to hurt. The show was down 18 percent from last week, which showed the combination of the day after the Rumble increase and the Dwayne Johnson appearance didn't carry over a week later.

Raw falls to 2.38 rating from 2.93 post-Rumble last week.

The show averaged 3.383 million viewers this week, which was a decrease of 715,000 viewers versus last week’s RAW broadcast. The January 25th edition of RAW averaged 4.098 million viewers, which was the highest television rating for the show in many months.

The hourly breakdown this week was as follows:

First Hour: 3.592 million viewers (4.140 million last week)

Second Hour: 3.464 million viewers (4.183 million last week)

Third Hour: 3.094 million viewers (3.972 million last week)

I don't know how people watch RAW live, I only watch the condensed 1.5 hour Hulu version and even then I forward through most of it as it's just really bad. I've got to the point where I just tell my brother to only watch the PPVs
