This is why I kept last gen. I don't want to use a modern console for running backwards compatibility on older games, especially when it needs to load into a different menu (at least that's what it seemed with Rare Replay).
I don't like it, or feel it's good for the system.
To each their own, though.
It's not really loading a different menu. It's a virtual machine running on the Xbox One. This has been possible for years on PC, you can for instance run an Windows XP inside Windows 8. The menus stay the same to the operating system it's running on. For the actual 360 game it doesn't know it's running in a bubble on different hardware and operating system. As far as it's concerned it's running on 360 hardware with the operating system on the 360.
