Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

Can I assume the odds are zero percent of those burger king games ever making it? I still need to finish the achievements on all of them.

Great! The first Assassin's Creed was the best out of them all. What great vision. Such a great game.

It's honestly my favorite. The setting was the best one, the visual style was super sharp and looked like a high contrast Kingdom of Heaven. It was more minimalist and the cold corporate conspiracy was really creepily laid out in the emails and brief conversations as a prisoner.

Cool. I never finished Dark Void, so I guess I'll give the BC version a shot.

I still don't understand the negativity and hyperbole about the release rate when they made it clear that the monthly drop was over. I mean, of course, games will then appear at less than regular times, but it's not a sign of the support coming to an end or being scaled back. Shit, currently, the release rate for BC for X360 on X1 seems to be happening much more steadily than PS4 is getting ancient-ass PS2 titles with trophies bolted on and certainly faster than Wii U or 3DS are getting 8- and 16-bit titles nevermind Gamecube or Wii ones. Shit's fine even if not ideal.

Dang, I don't own any of those 3 games

Well, I do on Steam, but not Xbox. I hope some of these games get really cheap during digital sales. Love to have a large Xbox library like my Steam library :)

Played a 90 minute 3v3 Halo Wars match last night... so damn good. Framerate chugged a bit near the end of the game where you have loads of units on screen, but overall it performed pretty well.

It made my hype for Halo Wars 2 skyrocket.

Great. I bought AC and GRID in the last sale in hope for backwards compatibility. AC1 is still the best AC to date in my opinion.

When you're right, you're right

I've never heard great things about AC1. I loved AC2 but I always hear AC1 is just the same contracts over and over. Very repetitive. And the flags are supposed to be a nightmare to collect.

I think ti's my favorite too, still. I think it's the setting and even though they were repetitive, yeah... the mission types made sense to me (in a way of preparing for a big assassination).
Did you ever collect all the flags? Only achievements I skipped.
I hated this, though. I spent a lot of time trying to keep track of what I had collected and everything, but there were just so damn many.
That's the wrong game to start with Dark.
I don't think Dark Sector got that many votes on that xbox site.

It had vision. That goes a long way with me. AC2 and on completely lost what they were going for with AC1. AC1 is the best "assassin simulator" that's out there next to the new Hitman, and they're like apples and oranges in their approach.

AC1 fully immersed you in that shit. A+ game.

Those two posts summarize perfectly what makes this the best Assassin's Creed game. I would even add that you cannot even compare AC1 with AC2 anymore since the second game took a completely different approach to the topic and was more like the beginning of that Open World crisis too many games are stuck in nowadays. If you want so, Assassin's Creed was quite linear.

Regarding Alan Wake's black crush issues:

Basically, you should always use the TV (RGB Limited) Color Space display setting on Xbox One. All video content (TV shows, Movies, Blu-ray, DVD, etc.) is authored for (RGB Limited). You’ll actually lose visual dynamic range if you select Color Space = PC (RGB Full).
The "RGB Limited" setting could be named more accurately.'
Note they have now changed the name to RGB Standard and PC RGB. If you use RGB Standard then 99% of your "crushed black" problems will be gone, including playing Alan Wake.

Again PC RGB is the wrong setting to use if you have a TV. I have confirmed this myself by using this site on the edge browser on the Xbox One: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php

Saw some new games were added, saw the word 'Dark' and my hope instantly shot up... Until I saw it followed by 'Void' and then it crashed like a train.

Seriously, just release it already.

What if you have a monitor with Tv tuner? Is it considered PC?
