Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

So even after all these months, they still haven't fixed the issue I have.

I have Fable II platinum hits version, which has all the DLC on disc. Unfortunately, the Xbox One does not recognize the on disc DLCs, so when I try to load my save, it says I'm missing the DLCs. The only way to have the DLC for this version of the game is to re-buy and download the store version of the DLCs.

Link?

If so, its all but guaranteed to be a remaster. No way they would talk about it being just BC.

Re Skyrim next gen - I can't provide a source, but I can point to the character in the far left (and right on the monitor) of the invite:

Sorry for late reply.

Currently playing Gunstar on 3DS but I could do another run on Xbox One. Outland is great too but I think the first half of the game needs more polarity gameplay

Man, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 plays really well through BC. I'm actually shocked how great it looks too.
Pretty much perfect. I love it.

Only issue I had is I ripped music to replace tracks, so the game was crashing on startup, looking for music that was not there. Booted my 360 and changed it back, no problems.

Probably already asked somewhere in this thread, so I apologize, but here goes.

I might be picking up an XB1 this weekend. I can purchase both Dark Souls and its DLC, Artorias of the Abyss, directly from the XB1 store on the console, correct?

If not, is Dark Souls and its DLC region-locked? I ask because I am unable to purchase games that aren't region-free on the Xbox.com site for some reason. Games like Tales of Vesperia, for example.

Edit - Actually, it looks like I don't have an issue purchasing anything on the Xbox site anymore, which is great. So, I guess I'm good!

Um what the fuck at them having no solution in sight for multiple disc games.

It's been over 10 years since the 360 came out. If they haven't done it by now, there must be some technical hurdle that makes it hard for them, which is why later games avoided it by making a special version for the digital version or making the second disc an installer of content.

Why in the world can't they figure that out for Xbox One?

It isn't even that - you can run multi disc games digitally on a modded console by keeping a certain file structure set for every particular game. I don't know the specifics but really I imagine the giant issue is the fact most multi disc games people really want came out before Microsoft was doing GOD or before they were doing day and date GOD which wasn't until 2013. No digital version makes it impossible for them to do it unless they make their own solution that doesn't require the game being purchasble from a 360, or you know, just release the back catalog for Xbox 360 and Xbox One and solve it like that too.

They've done it for some games, on 360. It can be done.

that also shows Saint's Row IV - but that doesn't come to BC until 4/16...

I just can't bring myself to delete RDR despite the fact that it doesn't work anymore. I should have unplugged the ethernet cord before it was "updated."

Yeah, I hate myself for that too. Play it offline perhaps? I don't understand why they just won't put it up :/

If they could they obviously would.

It´s either a technical problem the people who played it did not see or not encountered.

Or more likely due to some licencing issue (RDR2 Preorder Bonus, Annoucment at E3: "Available now", ...)

seeing this thread pop up has reminded me that we never got Deux Ex Human Revolutions Directors Cut on xbox one back compait, despite a vague promise of early this year.
