Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

Anyone got Guwange to work? The store is still asking me to pay. I contacted Xbox support and they told me I don't have the licence.... Digital future yay!

Voodoo Vince today.

I've really grown to resent remasters. Unfortunately I think the with Voodoo Vince and other OG Xbox games it more an issue with the Nvidia license. Remastering it and other titles allows them to take the NVidia license completely out of the equation.

Edit: as G0523 stated, Voodoo Vince was never back compat on X360.

Voodoo Vince was never playable on Xbox 360.

Is there a reason several Xbox 360 Popcap games that I never purchased showed up in my install list? I all of a sudden own Bejeweld 1&2, Feeding Frenzy 1 & 2, Heavy Weapon, and Zuma.

I guess I should stop holding onto hope that I'll get to play the 360 version of Mafia 2 before Mafia 3.

I have ea access and those Pop Cap show up free for me. Anybody not have ea access and the games show up free?

I've never had EA Access and had them show up. I ready owned Bejeweled 2 and 3, but the other four games are sitting there. Once Mankind Divided is done updating, I'm installing Zuma and the FFs.

I held on to my Voodoo Vince disk for years, I'm glad I will finally be able to play it again.

Okay, after having played pretty much the most taxing tracks in the game which killed the Wii U's framerate (Sky Pirates track and all the ones with water like Panzer Dragoon), I can legit say I'm pretty impressed with the emulation!
Felt like a solid 30fps throughout and if there were drops, I didn't spot them at all.

At this point, I'd say XB1 is the definite version behind the PC

But to summarize all the versions:

1. PC - 60fps/high-resolution + added exclusive PC characters like Ryo
2. XB1 - Sub HD, most stable framerate with added Vsync
3. Xbox 360 - Sub HD, most sable framerate last gen on console but w/ tearing
4. Wii U - Lowest resolution of the bunch (game looks bad on a big screen TV), fairly stable framerate except with certain, CPU intensive tracks. Off-Screen play and ability to play on different screens
5. PS3 - Actually 720p but with lowest average framerate and a fair amount of screen tearing

I did get a kick out the fact that the Wii U version I own DOES load faster than the XB1 version due to running of a 128gb flash stick.

Great, thanks!

Kind of dumb on 2K's end for not making it a preorder incentive. Would probably increase sales too.

Maybe Mafia II will be announced as one of today's BC titles. (Wishful thinking, I know.) Would make a lot of people happy, as it was a GWG back in May 2015.

And also (obviously) to further hype up Mafia III.

So I already owned Bejeweld 2, Heavy Weapon, and Zuma, and yesterday feeding frenzy 1 & 2 showed up in my ready to install list but no Bejeweld 1. I don't get why I didn't get that one.

Downloaded and played a bit of Heavy Weapon last night despite never purchasing the game on 360. It worked fine and I even unlocked some achievements. Wonder what's up with those games.

I also downloaded and played some Puzzle Quest 2. I initially had some problems on the "Press start to play" screen as the game would never respond to my button presses, although the 360 guide would come up when I presssed Start and Back together. Had to quit the game and start it over again, and it worked the second time. Game plays fine other than that one hiccup. I prefer the console versions of PQ due to gamepad support.

It's still a mystery...I don't have EA Access, I've never had EA Access, but I (and others) got those games for free. Well, except for the ones I already owned.

And I've never "gameshared" with anyone.

Chances are they don't work any more, their appearance for everyone was a screw up, they're meant for EA Access

Took Gamestop about 24 hours to up the used price of Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed after the BC announcement.

haha, really?

gotta go check to see what it is

I had no problem just buying digital for $30 as I've put an ungodly amount of hours over multiple versions of it anyway.
Hopefully SEGA gets the hint and either greenlights a remaster or just outright announces a deserved sequel.

EDIT: wow, they did raise the price slightly!

Hey we got Splosion Man for free for no discernible reason recently, if MS want to give me more free games outside of GWG I won't say no!
Ya but that you were able to "purchase" and tie to your account, which is much more legit. These recent games just showed up, no purchase, so easy to see it wasn't supposed to happen and you wouldn't keep them since they weren't tied to your account :P

A new patch for Gears of War 3 & Judegement just got pushed down to my console. Hopefully that fixes the crash bugs people were experiencing.
