Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

You made the right choice

Yup, worth it.

Just need to find a few more thousand people to trade with now.

+2

Also voted Civ Rev, PGR4, Sonic Generations, Sonic & Sega All Star Collection.

Crossing fingers

After listening to Bill Stillwell on Major Nelson's podcast a couple of weeks ago I have faith that PGR3 and PGR4 will happen. Microsoft is basically the publisher of all Xbox 360 games that work on Xbox One if you listen to what Bill says. They have had to either pay for some of the licenses or get waivers from license owners to allow the games to be back compat. Also they really do have to put in a lot of play testing to make sure games are not completely broken before releasing them. Once they get PGR3 and PGR4 working they will simply need to re-acquire the license for the cars and any licensed music. They also talked about hunting down the owners of IP from companies that have went under, like THQ.

I bought the Killer is Dead special edition but never got to play it because my 360 wouldn't read the disc. I'll have to pop it in the Xbone and see if I can finally play it.

Put my vote in for Tales of Vesperia, but seeing how low it is compared to all the games with high number of votes like COD and Skyrim (which even just got a remaster) makes me sad that it probably won't happen for awhile :(

I voted too (actually i voted the majority of games) Btw, there's also a votation for Original Xbox BC if you guys are interested. I really hope it gets added in the future. Right now, is arround 14k votes.

Here's the link if you wanna vote:

Done! They need to do this. It would go along with what Phil has been saying about having all of your Xbox games available to you.

I just added my votes for Crackdown 1 and 2 (I can only guess they are coming near the CD3 release), PGR 3 and 4, the Splinter Cell series, Stranglehold, Daytona USA, Burnout Revenge, BF BC2, and support for the original xbox. What other major releases are we all on board for?

There's so little love for The Outfit. I dunno if I should take this to mean that playing it now, it may not be the wonderful little third person Freedom Fighters x Return Fire mashup I remember.

But it probably is. :>

La Noire, Bully, GTA 4, Batman Asylum & City*, Assassins Creed Rogue, Dishonoured*, Dead Space 2&3, Mafia 2, Hitman Absolution

* = There's a remaster but can't hurt.

Is that site even still being used any more? I saw Injustice and Burnout P on it hasn't been marked as completed.

Hitman Absolution has already been confirmed by IO.

For every second they spend on Daytona, they don't spend on good games like Splinter Cell Blacklist and Fable Anniversary.

I'm mostly concerned with exclusive games that have performance issues on 360 since those issues can potentially be resolved on Xbox One. I'm voting for Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 because you can't even install that game on Xbox 360 and I'd hate to degrade my Xbox 360 disc drive from playing this game, also it had performance issues on Xbox 360.

You should be voting for ninja gaiden 2 then as well.

all the 360 games i have are on disc except skate 3. i want to go all digital so if i were to buy those games digitally would it just recognise i own the game and start up without the disc. i wouldn't need to reinstall or lose my game saves? i'm already getting into New Vegas and really don't want to start it over again.

Nope, once you have a digital license it'll just mean you no longer have to insert the disc. No redownloading, and your current saves remain so long as they're in the cloud.

Just went trough the all list and voted...
Its a bit depressing when you realise what are people's vote choice...lost faith for most of my stuff...
Akai Katana, Daytona, Shinobi, Raystorm, Radiant Silvergun, kof 13, all Cave stuff, Raiden, Vanguish and many more..

I wouldn't worry too much given Ikaruga was made BC before any of the COD games. I don't think the Xbox Voice website really means anything regarding which games will be made BC.

Last convo we had, you didn't even know Daytona USA was an arcade game (or if you'd even seen/played it before).

There really needs to be some sort of entrance exam before you're allowed to post on GAF.
NNNNGGGGGHHHAAAAA please, exam might as well be for bird watching or something even more obscure.
