I don't know why people hype things up like that.
This week was a good combination of games people have been asking for, triple AAA releases, and some deep cuts from XBLA. That's the ideal. Every week brings something that someone out there wants. And eventually, the game you've been waiting for makes the list.
Unless there's a legal or rights problem (or the original publisher is being a butthole), I'm pretty sure we are all going to get our favorites. Eventually.

I hope so. I would rather have OG Xbox games then even 360 games. If they could go back and add achievements to games like PD Orta, KoToR, and NG:B, that would be amazing.
I'd rather they didn't bother with achievements, having seen the frequency if PS2 on PS4 releases. Maybe let the developer choose whether to add them or not would be fine I guess.
Achievements would be amazing, but I really just want to be able to play Panzer Dragoon Orta and Crimson Skies without digging out my OG Xbox, which seemed to be on its last legs the last time I hooked it up.

Gotta say, I would buy an Xbox One S again, just for the amazing progress the BC team has done, this is remarkable the speed and pace they're knocking things out left and right, I'm so impressed.

I feel like even if I am not interested in a particular game its one game less for them to announce instead of Crackdown, Burnout Revenge, Civ Revolution and Fable Legends.

How does AC Rogue compare to Black Flag?
To be fair I don't really care about AC.. But it's one of the few games that people would benefit most from it going BC. Unlikely I'll play it unless for free/dirt cheap but I'm glad it was made available. It's a huge get for the program.
Also means it might go GWG which I'd like, with AC being this year I could see them making Rogue GWG over Syndicate or Unity

I am curious about this to. I fucking loved Black Flag.
That's how I used to look at it... before I realised how long they could potentially not announce Daytona USA for.
Its really the same. Everthing great in Black Flag is also in that game.

I couldn't be arsed waiting so I ended up getting it cheap on PC last year.
It's fun enough but really feels like an old school expansion pack for Black Flag rather than a full game. It has some story ties to ACIII but none of that game's sheer utter horridness. It's not super long or super short, but for instance, it only has a few forts to capture and the map is really confusing to find your way around in (like III was)
But, since it's likely to be some time before the next full AC game comes out, so go for it.

edit: I definitely agree with you on Geometry Wars 2, though, and I hope it eventually arrives. I didn't even bother downloading the first one when it went BC, because the 2nd one is just superior in every way. I can't go back.

KOF2002 UM - I've been playing via Steam lately, but hey, yay! And when NeoGeo ACA just came out too!
Moon Diver - This thing is so grindy to lvling purposes, but I've actually wanted to play it again, it's Co-Op Strider!
Borderlands 2 - Isn't there a remake for this natively? Guess that's nice though.
Gyromancer - I didn't like how much less intense the enemy fight portions of this are to actual puzzle quest, but the game on it's own is one I was playing in the late 360 days. Good to have it back!
Space Invaders Infinity Gene - I think I might have this. There were so many SI games in recent gens (And the SI Get Even from Wiiware?), glad to see one playable on newer consoles too.
Still love the variety of releases. A bit of everything, fighters, retro, remakes / tributes, "big" titles, etc... helps make up for the lack of game releases a few days back.

It's very impressive, both the number of titles they add and how well they (mostly) run. It might seem odd, but for the first time this generation, my One is getting more usage than my PS4 and BC is a big part of that. It feels really nice just turning on the system and having games you bought years ago right there with you or discovering some you missed the first time around.
Keep adding titles MS and do what ever you have to to get original Xbox BC as well.
One of the staffers behind Gripshift showed up in the ten-years-since-release thread, and I asked them about the approval process for getting BC games OK'd.

Very impressive. And the original Xbox > 360 had 461 games before they stopped updating. We're almost to 350 already in a year.

The OG games stopped being added in November 2007 - so two years. I'm guessing we'll have 500 by the end the year for Xbox One.
and the difference here is this is future proof. They only have to do the work once and we can still play them on the future systems. So, more likely they'll put work into it.

Yep, and unlike on 360, most of the BC games actually work really well, some even better than they originally did. On 360 it oftentimes felt like they just added original Xbox games to the list if it would even boot up, but that's not the case here. I've played a lot of 360 BC games on One (well, about 20) and tried even more, and almost all of them work splendidly.
And having them work on Scorpio and hopefully later systems is exactly what I want. I like buying into an ecosystem with a long term view, where my games follow me from system to system. 360 was my favorite console last generation and had the One been the same price as PS4, with no Kinect and full BC, I'm sure I would have moved over easily, but when they reset the ecosystem all bets are off.

Deadline is shit, geoms are SHIIIT... the best thing about GeoWars 2 is the pacifist mode.
Also having the leaderboards split between 6 modes made it less fun to compete with friends, because everyone wasn't focused on performing the best they could at the same gametype.
Don't even get me started on GeoWars 3.
