I'll try classic/commander ironman first, but half-expecting to lose.
It's ok, boot it up, lose, and then uninstall and wait because you're all set for for XCOM 3.

Valve restricting store region changes was done to clamp down on cross-region purchasing. The point is moot, though, as you don't need to change your store region to unlock a game early.
JaseC for the rescue. So my vpn of choice should do the trick. Puh... Was panicking there for a second. Speaking of vpn of choice... which one would you recommend? And do I have to keep it running while playing? Or should I just go offline?
Sarcastically comparing the best of ClassicCOM to ShitCOM.
You should be glad I didn't have the time to make a joke OT filled with a bunch of really bad and tasteless jokes.
Ok, GAF.
Questions about your very first playthrough.
1. Difficulty? Ironman or no?
2. How do you plan to customize soldiers? Silly? Serious? Real People? Not customize?
3. Will you create some characters on the character pool before playing or let everyone be born on the battlefield?
4. Long War Studio mods? Yay or nay?
5. Do you have an epitaph ready for your very first casualty?
Ok, GAF.

95% chance of being a hit?
Fuck my weekend.
1. Probably Normal, just to get a feel for the game.Ok, GAF.

I have social engagements this weekend ;_;
Not anymore!
Moments like these I normally have to choose. Do I get laid this weekend or do I spend my time in front of the PC?
Most weekends I choose the sex, but this weekend it's going to be a tough choice.
Poor thread title, what about these?
XCOM 2 |OT| X-Files goes nuts
XCOM 2 |OT| Base demands pay equity
Can someone tell me how much you have to download for this game on Steam?
No, you're right. It could be worse.
Hey, the wife isn't usually in the mood if I'm spending most of my time trying to topple an alien regime...lol.. Just telling it like it is.
I understand, 'twas but a joke.
One of my favorite things about Long War is it stripped out all this unnecessary fluff (including the pod reveal animations, which I was sick of after a few hours). I can't wait for a mod that does the same.Omg you can turn that shit off?
I WISH I KNEW THIS
I do not want to highjack this thread but the performance thread isn't up yet and I think people would like to know more about performance because of TBs warnings (and at least this is a PC exclusive game so it's not completely out of place).
There are 5 presets Minimum, Low, Medium, High, Maximum.
The game seems to run fine on a gtx 970 (~59fps) and 390 (~65fps) on the High preset. The maximum preset needs around 4.2 gb of VRAM because of 8xMSAA and runs like shit on most GPUs (no big surprise here). A gtx 980 seems to be able to handle the maximum preset with turned down MSAA to 2x.
All infos are from the latest (?) steam review build.
More infos and some graphs here...
Während ein neuer Einsatz bei XCOM: EW zum Beispiel in unter zehn Sekunden lädt, was nicht weiter stört, dauert das bei XCOM 2 auch gerne einmal 35 bis 40 Sekunden.
Can't wait!
I wonder how it runs with MFAA instead of MSAA.I do not want to highjack this thread but the performance thread isn't up yet and I think people would like to know more about performance because of TBs warnings (and at least this is a PC exclusive game so it's not completely out of place).

Not bad, I can live with high. 8xMSAA is overkill to me anyway.
The loadings though...eek
35 to 40 seconds to load.
Ironman.
Is there any other way?
I wonder how it will perform with a 980Ti and an SSD.
Weird that they didn't test that.
It's alright if we use a VPN to play early correct?
Apparently they are missing a few hardware pieces, if I'm not mistaken. Somebody asked about the Fury card too.
I think we are...I'm not 100% sure though.
Ok, GAF.

XCOM 2 |OT| Make Earth Great Again!
Just a note about performance: The highest graphics preset turns on 8xMSAA which is why the performance seems so bad. Don't use the presets, go custom and turn that down or off.
