But it'll look better than playing a Wii game on a HD TV, which is my hope. The 3DS has a substantially lower resolution than the Wii does.
I've been curious about this game for a while. It'll be interesting to see how it compares to the Wii version if and when it comes to the US, but trying to determine the superior version from the little bit of video we have now seems pointless.
So is your constant damage control. This is an extremely painful read!!
Time to halt my dolphin play through, I can wait and support the developer.

If this isn't about Xenoblade, why are you posting in this topic about Xenoblade.
I understand the issue, but I don't understand the over-dramatic response. You have the power to voice your opinion by not buying the game/hardware. Everyone will make their own cost analysis regarding how much they want to play any exclusive content.
I believe most newer games will be new 3DS exclusive. So if you want to play them, buy the system. If this maligns your consumerist ideology, then don't. You can't act like you've been deprived something. You shouldn't act so entitled.
Don't know, don't care.
I would rather have had them wait until their next handheld than have them give the middle finger to the fans who supported them when they actually needed it.
Hell... it looks ugly enough that they probably should have waited anyways.
The new 3DS can't be that much stronger then a regular 3ds. It's not being pushed as a successor, just a better model. What was 5% thrown out as an estimate. Gee, that's such a big difference. It's XL dosen't even fix the resolution problem. This hardly sounds like a big gap. I don't buy that they couldn't get it to run on 3ds. It all sounds like a cop out. Made to just make the new 3ds more attractive.
And a vaguely better cpu is going to close the gap between those major differences huh?Do you honestly believe this? Are you aware of the major differences in hardware between the original 3DS and the Wii?
Someone said it here as I don't think Nintendo has really stated anything. Not sure where you got the 5% from, it sounds like a number pulled from someone's ass.
I'm personally expecting it to be around 50-100% akin to DS to DSi (66mhz Arm9 to 133mhz Arm9). That's 'small' for generational improvements, but still a very significant upgrade.
I'd keep playing the Wii version. There's no localization for this version in sight, and to be honest as a consumer I would much rather have a localization of DQ7's remake than a downgraded version of a Wii game anyway.
Will it though?
Please..So is your constant damage control.
They could have at least added a second circlepad if they'll be splitting the userbase regardless.
You would rather deny other people the game due to your own issues.
Right.
They couldve and probably are but this is xenoblade people are angry over1. Monolithsoft could've present a brand new Xeno game suited for all 3DSes. Maybe they still are?
2. We can wait to play it on 4DS
The good news is that Xenoblade can live forever on the eShop instead of expensive collectible discs.
And a vaguely better cpu is going to close the gap between those major differences huh?
Do you have proof that it only need a bit of "honest work"? Perhaps an existing 3DS game which is similar to what was shown in the trailer.Maybe Nintendo could have actually done some honest work and gotten it to work on the 3ds. I know effort is too much for them and they rather just make you buy a whole new thing.
Gotta drum up further interest for the Wii U title. Strike while the iron is hot and make it hot by striking and all that jazz.
Really? It's one of the best games on the platform, and one of the ones that had zero reliance on motion control. Seems about as well suited to a port job as any 3DS game there is.
I do not understand this move at all. It looks awful.

Sooo Nintendo can do this but you won't Sony? Bring a big ass game like this to a portable. A game they know people want.
Sony should have ported Demon's Souls to Vita a long time ago, or better yet given it its own Souls game.
Sony coulda woulda shoulda did a bunch of things with the vita. But they won't. They're seriously ignoring the possibility of having dope games on the go. A souls game where I can pause technically by suspending it is dope lol.Sony should have ported Demon's Souls to Vita a long time ago, or better yet given it its own Souls game.
Exactly. If there was EVER a game to play on a big screen, it's Xenoblade. It's so beautiful, and letting the vistas 'breathe' on your screen is essential to enjoying it. Playing it with 3DS visuals would be a crime.
Acceptable for replays, but not as your introduction to the game. Bring on Xenoblade Remaster in HD, please.
Sony should have ported Demon's Souls to Vita a long time ago, or better yet given it its own Souls game.
Please, this!
I don't know how the hell that game is going to run on the 3DS. It barely runs on the Wii at times!
Play the game on Dolphin. Done.I guess the Guar Plain stage in Smash is the only way to see the game partly in HD? Of course Shulk. Man I wish this game would be in HD with some serious AA. The game would look beyond incredible.

Have you played any of those games? Besides lbp and uncharted? And thought they were quality?I think you are vastly overestimating the consumer demand for Xenoblade.
And didn't Sony and third parties bring over God Of War, Resistance, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, Little Big Planet, Killzone Uncharted etc?
I think every single one of those franchises are bigger than Xenoblade, so I am not really seeing your point.
No, I don't have end of the system 3DS games that push the hardware beyond what it was thought capable of to show.Do you have proof that it only need a bit of "honest work"? Perhaps an existing 3DS game which is similar to what was shown in the trailer.
Oh thats right. You don't. They wanted to pick something big to show the new CPU (as nobody on GAF knows what HTML5 videos are) so picked this.
Play the game on Dolphin. Done.
