Because it's just a level 20 Skell. You will get those good ones when you reach level 30.
Great, I'm already level 31. I'll try a level 30 skell.

Usually the Ma-non just "plays dead" and then wakes up during the scene because he's learned about the poison beforehand... the only other choice I can think of that might affect the outcome is when the Ma-non asks if he should have dinner with Yuyu, and you tell him to focus on work instead (so he doesn't eat with her) I've never tried the other route, but maybe in that case he'd end up dead anyway since he's already eaten pizza?
There's also a video online of how the quest plays out when he lives: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEG9byeAFY8&t=26m17s

So, 70+ hours in, I finally get my skell... and it's kind of disappointing?
I told him to focus on work and when I got to Oblivia, he has already been buried. Dead. What a fuck up quest.
Turns out I didn't progress enough. After I went back to the game and progressed the dialogue a bit, Ackwar got up.
Guess I should have went a bit further before making a post.
Quick question for those who have skells (just obtained the lvl 20 one myself): Once you get your skell, do you mainly use it for combat, or still use the class arts?
Yes, the Inferno model while slower than the light ones has better traction since instead of being a Motorcycle is more like a Car.Maybe combat will improve if I buy skells for the rest of the group. I'm already level 30 and have lots of money anyway. Is there a difference in handling between light/medium/heavy skells?

Maybe it's because I've been playing for too long, but if felt weird to pilot a skell. The handling in vehicle mode is just awful, and skell combat doesn't seem as exciting as on foot. Or maybe I should just take a break, I spent the whole night playing and need some sleep

Are weapon/armor augments permanent? I put a "melee attack I" on a chest piece and leveled it to "melee attack IV". Now when I go into Ground Gear and select the chest piece, the option "set augment" is greyed out. I can't figure out how to remove it so that I can put it on another, more powerful piece of gear.
Damn, 70 hours in and only level 31. No point looking for the lifehold anymore, you've probably found all of it
No you can definitely take them off
It might have been that the melee atack I was already on the gear originally. As far as I can tell you can't level up the augments you add onto gear
I got my first skell as well, and now I'm wondering... how do you get more of them? For the rest of your team?
And where can one change the type to heavy for example?
Also, it's so powerful! Why would you ever get out of it, besides in caves? I'm murdering things with such ease now, it almost feels like cheating.
Also, the scale of the map kind of loses its appeal with a Skell. Getting to new area's goes so fast, you kind of lose that sense of accomplishment.
You're right. What I had done was an armor upgrade - I upgraded the augment that was on the gear originally, not a piece in an equipable slot. Took me a good 20 minutes to figure this out:| Thanks for the reply!
I just begun that one too and yeah it seems really stupid. What the hell is that last Boze affinity quest? I can't even do some crazy combos without falling off the lava.
How so? From what I gathered NLA was never really mean to be used in the way is used in the game since it was a part of the whole White Whale meant to emulate the Earth environment while they were traveling space. I assumed that other more important areas were in the ship itself but since they lost it they are forced to use it as a full on habitat for them.So is the fact that NLA is a dumb idea as deliberate as I hope it is? That could be a very promising thematic idea

I managed to hit it from the cave though and commanded my team to assemble so it's not that bad like that. The monster still hits pretty hard which was a pretty big surprise to be honest. Need to put on gear with some electricity resistance I guess.

I liked the detail that some NPCs say how they were already building it while traveling until they were attacked or how they have to share houses because there are not enough for all of them.
And Skell combat is amazing and add another layer to the already deep combat: Do I keep fighting in my skell or I better go on foot to break some parts? Skell Armor instead of regular armor? But if I wear skell armor then my defenses will be trash in those times I'm forced to fight on foot...
.
Oh yeah... some of the sidequest do touch that aspect and I loled when I discovered that the research probes generate money because it seems that civilian buy the footage and data collected by them to learn of the world outside the walls.Lin calls it "our lie to ourselves" in the opening pan, and that seems pretty apt: they've built this parody of old earth with a cliche residential neighborhood and they've got stores and restaurants like you can just continue the same sort of consumerism the Earth supported. That's dumb and the way she phrased it makes me hope the game knows its dumb
Yeah BUT I have a LOT of equipment for a lot of situations... almost wish they added a menu to let you save loadouts =/you can always change your equipment for fighting on foot. it should not take more than a few minutes-
Yeah just put some elec res gear on and it was really easy. Didn't bother with terrain resistance but just pulled the monster to the cave.I just finished it. I didn't wanna cheese it but heck it's really difficult without some magic of augments.
Equip terrain resistance xx augment and equip armor till you get 100 elec resistance and you'll be laughing at that fight. Like you can leave your party auto-attacking while your opponent deals 1 damage per turn.
No. The support bonus is what you give to others. The support bonus is a buff that triggers randonly in battles. The real rare to imprvoe drops rates is to use the Treasure sensor augment (it seems to be additive so a party full of treasure sensor V really adds up).So, having Reclaimers as a division increases my chance of getting rare drops?
That explains that fight. My team mates all fell into the lava then I was left fighting a boss doing hardly any damage (all my armour was store bought C&C giving me 100 electric resistance).I managed to hit it from the cave though and commanded my team to assemble so it's not that bad like that. The monster still hits pretty hard which was a pretty big surprise to be honest. Need to put on gear with some electricity resistance I guess.

I mean a huge part of the story is that 1. A lot of what humanity and BLADE has accomplished by the time you reach NLA is incredibly rushed and improvised and 2. One of their big goals is to emulate life on earth as well as they can for reasons that'll come up later.Lin calls it "our lie to ourselves" in the opening pan, and that seems pretty apt: they've built this parody of old earth with a cliche residential neighborhood and they've got stores and restaurants like you can just continue the same sort of consumerism the Earth supported. At first it felt strange to me too , but if you use the left stick just to move forward and do quick turns to left and right and the right stick to control the direction you move works flawlessly

I haven't put her in a Skell yet but the ether she spews out during cutscenes just absolutely vicious. Her send off to the boss of chapter 8 hod damn.Elma's shit talking is next level when she's inside a Skell.
So what are the green circles filling around my arts in combat?
Secondary cooldown which is usually better if you wait for it to completely fill up.So what are the green circles filling around my arts in combat?
You guys might find this post useful. Finally found a g6 research probe.

Not necessarily all arts. Some get added effects or instant reuse. Open up the arts menu and the bonus you get for the secondary cooldown/green circle fill are listed in the stats. To get the meter to fill you need to be using the auto attack of either your range or melee weapon depending on the art. The tertiary cooldown doesn't enter gameplay until you unlock overdrive after chapter 5.Arts become more powerful when the circle fills.
Double checked. 16 million. You get the billionaire achievement at ten million credits for some reason. Once i saw that pop, just assumed that's what i had without counting zeroes.wat?
I'm at the same point and literally just got the achievement for 1m lol
