Yeah...online = Squad mission + the missions after completed the Squad stuff.

Still awesome to see people run around doing their own story stuff / side mission giving off an MMO feel.
There is 4-player multiplayer missions though. But we dunno if they can do all the missions or just guild ones.

Just to clarify, because I'm pretty sure that spoiler is wrong.

BIG SPOILER WARNING

I'm pretty sure it's the main character that's a robot. Which makes a lot of sense as to their role in the game.

Can someone give me more information on this?

I tried watching a couple different streams, but I quit in just a few mins. As much as I love Xenoblade, it just isn't a series that is fun to watch someone else play, lol. I want to be exploring that world. :(

RIGHT!?! I couldn't look at it for more than an hour because I get that feeling of wanting to go "Oh treasure over there? Lemme whip out the Hopper Cam and-- Oh snap there's a pretty strong monster there.... Gonna have to book it. Now let's get going and--- OH THAT WAS A MONSTER TOO! WE OUT!"

Been loving hearing the music in the background while I do stuff but had to turn off stream because I was hearing things going on :(

It's probably a good thing that it isn't super fun to watch because I'd likely be glued to the stream otherwise. :P

That view !

I need to make a big jump from there. So lovely.

I got my Xenoblade X preorder last night. I could not be more pumped to play this game!

First thing I'm going to do when I find anything like that too.

What makes me want to do that more is no longer taking fall damage. Sometimes, I got the urge to just jump and see Shulk, having his arms in the air, until he falls to his demise. :P At least there was places where I could jump into like water.

Also makes me glad for the running and seems to be faster swimming. Everything seems to be, for the most part, faster in X.

Those of you actually watching it, a quick question for someone who wants to keep a media blackout. Xenoblade for Wii was something I really wanted to enjoy, but couldn't because of getting bombarded with piles of pointless quests. With that said how are the sidequests in this? More of the same or did they improve the quality? If they are the same did they at least add more tools to make them manageable?

Bombarded with quests?

There are definitely more of the same kinds of quests, however from what I've seen is that they have made it far more manageable.

I like that the map can tell you where hot spots are for side quest enemies and the navi orbs can take you right to them. And the enemies will be marked with a green icon. There are just so many great improvements over the first game.

At least, I think that's what that was on the map in this Douyu stream. There were large yellow circles which I imagine was showing where specific enemies usually stay in an extermination quest. Can't tell you how many times I've had to check a wiki or walkthrough to figure out where certain enemies are in the first game then constantly locking on to each enemy trying to find the right name for those dumb fliers/mosquito things.

You also don't really need to take all of these quests. Narumi's stream is taking the bare minimum as possible just to get a few levels and money then continue progress through story. You could do the same in Xenoblade Chronicles. It's never really necessary to do them unless you want too.

From what I can tell, the really simple kill/collect quests are all dispatched from a single terminal in town. Quest monster seem to be marked now so it's a lot easier to find them. From what I see from the streams I would say that this game is even more side-activity heavy than XC was, though there are a lot more tools in place to make them more manageable.

I would say, watch the translated japanese directs. Avoid the exploration one if you want, but they really wont spoil all that much since the game is incredibly huge.
They will tell you everything you need to know, all the 8 squads, with all the types of quests, and all the other new systems.
Edit: ehh sorry dp
http://www.douyutv.com/11 LOLOLOL his doll just got obliterated by a huge monster on the white ash valley.
And the Ma-Non spaceship is HYPE

I was just joking, but really? How do you know that, I thought it was a fairly unknown site :P

well actually maybe not....but there's no way that site is "fairly unknown"

edit: nvm they are fake anyway

Wow, I've been busy for about 5 hours, has narumi been playing this whole time!? Is he the furthest in the game of all the streamers? Any big nonstory details not shown in the directs found in the last few hours?

edit: I see he still has to mash A to open chest/field events. It just seems so unnecessary than just the 1 button push.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I think the English stream mentioned something about levels affecting what type of chests you can open but idk if that affects the button mashing lol I agree seems super pointless

I'll have to do that.

I have to say, that tearful effect is disturbing as hell. It looks so freaky.

Also, the voices of those jar jar's are even worse than the nopon, localization save us.

The game sure looks weird when you dress your all-female party in normal-looking skirts and high heels and have them fight futuristic space soldiers.
